We just completed our second stay here. Such a pretty house and so well constructed. We love the wraparound porch and looking out to the beautifully maintained lawn and surrounding trees. At night, everything seems so calm, peaceful, and quiet. It feels as though we might be out in Chilmark, but the house is just a quick bike ride from Edgartown.

The house is clean, safe, and private. Joan, a very personable and responsive host, lives next door, but the places are quite far apart, and she is never intrusive. The upstairs is spacious with two walk-in closets, a lovely full bath, a king-sized bed, and beautiful wood floors. Downstairs has another full bath - an incredible luxury. The kitchen is rather tiny. Although there is a big gas grill and a full stove, the fridge is dorm-sized, and you may want to see it before you head to the Stop & Shop.

My family and I absolutely loved loved loved our stay at Ms. Joan’s beautiful cottage. This cottage was not only beautiful but immaculately clean. If peace and serenity is what you’re looking for, this is the place for you. The cottage is within close proximity to restaurants and activities you might be interested in. It felt like home. my family and I will be returning to this lovely cottage soon. Thank you so much, Ms. Joan...we really enjoyed our stay at your lovely cottage.

We stayed here for a wedding in downtown Edgartown, and it was a great choice. We didn't spend much time at the house, but it was perfect for our needs. Joan was a great host, and dealt with our indecisiveness with grace. We appreciate that she and her family offer their cottage up for out of towners like us. Their house is across the yard, so help is just the flick of the blinds away. If we ever get back to Martha's Vineyard, it is nice to know we have a place to stay.

This was our second stay at Joan's guest house and we had such a wonderful time that it was very hard to leave the island.

The cottage is super comfortable and convenient to just about everything. We thoroughly enjoyed the wrap around porch and cooked a couple of meals out back on the deck. Everything is spotlessly clean. I love that all linens are provided which makes the packing and such so much easier. Joan is extremely accommodating and just wonderful to deal with.
/>What would take this home from wonderful to absolutely perfect would be a full sized fridge, washer-dryer and an outdoor shower. :) Otherwise, it's just the right fit for our family of 3. show more show less
