Comfortable Cape Bordering State Forest

CENTRALLY LOCATED to three Down-Island towns (four miles to downtowns of Oak Bluffs and Edgartown, five to Vineyard Haven) and to beaches (four miles to State and South Beach and six to Long Point), yet off the beaten path, this three-bedroom cape edges an extensive state forest on a quiet cul-de-sac. WALK, BIKE OR JOG out the backyard to explore miles of leafy woodland paths.

While very close to State & South beaches, it's fun to experience other Island beaches: Long Point, Gay Head and Menemsha. They're all different! And don't forget Chappy! We provide BEACH CHAIRS, BEACH UMBRELLA AND BEACH TOWELS, if you don't want to bring your own. We also provide BEACH PASSES to Long Point Beach!

FAVORITE FEATURES of our home are the privacy of our backyard, the outdoor shower under the pines and our spacious screened-in porch. The porch with large screened windows gives the feel of being outside without getting too much sun, bugs or rain. It's perfect for meals, entertaining or a lazy afternoon nap. Your kids can even feel like they are camping out when sleeping out on the futon. The yard has lounge chairs with plenty of sun or shade, whatever's your preference. The front & backyards are also large enough for kicking around a soccer ball or for lawn games.

MOVING INSIDE, there's a bright, airy open floor plan of living room/kitchen. Central air makes anywhere in the house comfortable. The fridge and stove are new in a well-equipped kitchen. The living room features a 50” smart (Roku) TV with a Samsung Soundbar that connects to Bluetooth. WiFi is solid throughout the house.

There are TWO BEDROOMS and a bathroom on the main floor. The master bedroom has a king-size bed. A sliding door opens onto a small deck that adjoins the back porch with a scenic view of the woods. The second bedroom has a double bed with a small outer room that is set up as an office, with desk and printer. But no working on vacation!

The THIRD BEDROOM with a queen-sized bed is downstairs. Southern light pours into the room through a large sliding window that looks out on a lovely stone staircase. Guests love this room because it stays naturally cool and has the feel of a separate suite that removes you from the hustle & bustle of the house. Perfect for anyone who prefers a bit more privacy.
