We wanted a place to get together with one other family, but in a way that was just us and our combined 4 kids and not crowds. We picked it because it was biking distance to the beach, even for the kids. The house was comfortable, we enjoyed the back yard, the deck, the swing, and the outdoor shower. We were able to cook for ourselves completely. Bill was easy to work with and responsive. We recommend it!

This is a great 4 bedroom cape and is ideal for a family looking for a reasonable vacation. The house is very clean and the yard is well maintained and the owner is next door and takes care of any issues if they come up.

This property has everything you want while at the Vineyard. It is in the perfect location to bike to South beach, walk or bike to the general store for coffee and treats, and to easily get to Edgartown.

Early morning runs to South beach past the biplane grass airfield are incredibly picturesque and invigorating.

We made trips to Aquinnah and Menemsha nearly every evening for seafood, fishing, and the sunset that is much easier to get to than from most other places we have stayed on the island.

This 4 bedroom home with great room and kitchen along with 2 full baths and outdoor shower is fantastic. Our family of 6 feels right at home.

We will be back again for certain!

I think the best compliment one can provide for a vacation rental is to stay there again. 2016 marked the 10th YEAR of renting this house! It is perfect for us with a very quick mile bike ride down to South Beach or into town. The large outside deck is perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach with plenty of room and privacy. The 4 bedrooms, loft and 2 bathrooms provide ample room inside.

Bill and Joan are constantly upgrading with new carpet this year, new appliances not too long ago. The house is always immaculate with a great kitchen stocked with everything you need for a great summer vacation. I would highly recommend this house and can't wait to be back in 2017! show more show less

If you want the best place to stay on the island, this is it. I have rented here for 10 years and we are made to feel this is our own home away from home. OH SO CLOSE TO THE BEACH. And so close to Edgartown.

Bill and Joan are the ultimate in hosts and friendship I have ever encountered. (I've been renting on island for over 20 years). The owners are like family to us and welcome my crew every year. Lovely, spacious home conveniently located in Katama in a private setting provided a great home base for a perfect Vineyard vacation. Extremely responsive and helpful (yet not intrusive) landlord ensured we had everything we could need. The home is well appointed and shows off some classic Vineyard art, historical maps, comfy furniture, and newer appliances. It's thoroughly stocked with kitchen tools for the foodie vacationer, plus offers a great stainless steel grill out back on a spacious deck, and the rooms are quite accommodating-certainly more than we needed! Bike path is at the entrance of the driveway; the beach and "downtown" Edgartown are only minutes away. And then there was the library (so much to choose from it does almost qualify as a library), great board games; and high-speed Wi-Fi for those who don't want to disconnect completely. After at least a dozen Vineyard vacations, this is a choice I would highly recommend and hope to return! Thank you! show more show less
