This was a wonderful place to stay - peaceful and quiet but close to everything we wanted. It was just a short drive to Edgartown and even shorter to South Beach, and having the bike path and the walking trails at Katama Farm just down the street made for beautiful impromptu stargazing.

The house is well-maintained and the layout was perfect for our group of five. We liked that each bedroom/bathroom combination had its own character and color scheme; the house really felt like a home!

Every room is full of light coming from the windows, skylights, and the sliding doors on all sides of the first floor, fantastic for taking in the sights and sounds of the trees that surround the house. I loved having breakfast on the decks - front, side, and back depending on mood - and reading in the cozy study on the second floor. Overall, we had a peaceful and comfortable stay soaking in the beauty of the island, on our outings but also at home. We hope to be back next year! show more show less

Tucked into a quiet, private wooded neighborhood next to a wide, safe bike trail to the beach, this spacious home is the perfect place to unwind. The sea air and sounds of Canada geese at nearby Katama Farm drift through the multiple screened double sliding doors. Morning coffee on the wrap around decks provided a show of charming wildlife. It's as if it is just you and nature.
Yet, upscale Edgartown with high-end restuarants and shops is but a few minutes drive. Do Not miss Backdoor Bakery's apple fritters with that morning coffee. Also a short drive is the West Tisbury farmer's market and Edgartown Seafood on Cooke Street. Might as well eat like royalty while at your private getaway.
The convenience of three full bathrooms for each of the three bedrooms can't be over estimated. Wifi, two TVs, game tables, good books and the daily delivered New York Times could have filled a rainy day, but it never rained during our 2-week visit. Every day was a short bike ride to the beach. All rooms throughout the house are especially clean, spacious and well appointed, making group gatherings easy and comfortable. The furnishings have a family home vibe, not cookie cutter out rental, adding to our vacation relaxation. We have rented from the Florida Keys to northern Maine. This Katama home is our favorite. show more show less
