We just returned from a fabulous vacation in Oak Bluffs. Our stay at the Villa Rosa was wonderful. Lots of room for everyone, a beautiful porch that I think some of our family spent the whole time on. We were there 8 years ago, and many improvements have been made. Now it has a very large modern kitchen with everything you would need. Two of the bathrooms now have updated showers that are beautiful, and the outdoor shower was a favorite for many. Some of the rooms that were dark are now light and airy, a much needed change, and gone are some of the heavy antiques. I highly recommend this gorgeous house. My initial visit staying at this most beautiful and well known house started in the year 2005. I never get tired of learning about who has been there and stayed there and the heritage it has on the Island. A group of ladies from Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas and California sought to have a relaxing and fun vacation. This house made our vacation one of the most awesome experiences to say the least. We have been back several years with our last stay in 2011. Since coming back we decided to name our group "SISTAS ON THE BLUFF". We have a waiting list now for others to join our stay at the VILLA ROSA. Texas Sistas recently joined the group. Our plans are to be back for 2016. I joinec Sanya Pankney with several girlfriends. My first visit to the Vineyard. My stay was absolutely delightful with perfect location with proximity to short walk to town.
Being able to look out over the Bay was wonderful. The accomodation was quite comfortable. I would definitely visit with same stay again in the near future.

I had an amazing time at this location, the location was very convenient..;.. across the street from the beach and a short walk to town. I loved this house, it was warmth and inviting which I felt as soon as I arrived.
The rental was immaculate with original artwork and it provided enough space for guests to have privacy if so desired.
I look forward to returning to this property and would definitely recommend to family and friends.

We rented this spectacular home in June, 2011 as the setting for our wedding reception and could not have been more thrilled. Not only did Villa Rosa serve as home away from home for 20 of our wedding guest, the wrap around porch was the perfect place for our wedding rehearsal and wedding dinners. In my view, the description in the listing did not do the property justice.

The beauty of this immaculately maintained home is evident from the moment you step in front door. The perfect blend of old and new, the owner has done a magnificent job of beautifully preserving much of the original wood, furniture, fixtures and sconces in the living room, dinning room and bedrooms. Simultaneously, all of the bathrooms have been updated and the gourmet kitchen is a cook's dream with all of the state of the art accoutrement.

Chock full of nooks and crannies, the floor plan of the home lends itself very nicely to large groups. The amount and organization of the living space allowed all of our guests to feel that they had privacy when they wanted it and to join the fray otherwise. We deliberately did not fill the house to capacity in efforts to insure that our guests didn't feel packed. In hindsight, we could have gone to the maximum with ease.

The kitchen was the perfect gathering place for early morning breakfasts and late night snacks. Our guests read, rocked in rockers and watched the world go by from the third floor porch and the wrap around porch. The teens in our group enjoyed the third floor living area with it's leather couches, big screen TV and pool table.

The care taker, who lives just next door, was available to us at all times and accommodated each and every one of our MANY requests; those made in advance and those with very short notice.

I would highly recommend this fabulous property to anyone, for any occasion. show more show less
