Comfortably furnished for easy family living. Ideal location with an up-Island feel and down-Island convenience. Eat-in French country kitchen. Extensive library. Protected beach in front of the house perfect for small children and boat anchorage. Secluded back garden and benches on the bluff. Hammock for restful afternoons. You will enjoy this house when you wake up in the morning and look at the sun rising over Lake Tashmoo, when you sit on the beach or bluff during the day and observe the sailboats and fishermen passing towards the Sound, and in the evening admiring the sunset from the deck and having dinner on the porch. Vineyard living doesn't get much better than this! Wonderful walking through farms, woods, marsh land to other secluded beaches.

Fabulous Place

I grew up summering on Lake Tashmoo...before there were electric lights and running water in most camps on the lake. This place has the ambiance of the 1940's and 50's with all the modern conveniences of the present day. Plenty of room for family and friends here.

This one is "Old School Vineyard" and perfect for this "Old Fool Vineyard-er"

Ideal Spot on Lake Tashmoo

My family has been returning to this wonderful cottage on the shores of Lake Tashmoo every summer for nearly a decade. My kids would not dream of going anywhere else-nor would we!
The setting is ideal–nestled in the woods right on the water, close enough to Vineyard Haven for a quick run into town but feels completely secluded. Big screen porch for lazy lunches and dinners, swimming right off the back lawn or a lovely hike through the woods to the beach at the mouth of Lake Tashmoo. The cottage is rustic, but entirely comfortable and an ideal Vineyard beach experience. show more show less
