Newly Renovated West Chop/Walk to Beach, Golf, and Ferry

We rented JD's home for a week. The place was tucked away - nice, quiet, and peaceful - only a few minutes from the ferry terminal so it makes it super convenient. We really enjoyed staying in Vineyard Haven. We found Edgartown and Oak Bluffs to be crowded for us. However, it's just a short ride to both if you wanted to go exploring for the day. The fenced in backyard was great for our puppy to run around and play, she had a blast. The home is nicely furnished and has everything that you need away from home. Best thing, it comes with linens and towels, less for you to pack!

This charming, coastal home is the perfect family-friendly space to relax and find adventure on MV. Very toddler friendly, we brought one baby gate and child safety cabinet lock and our 20 month old was perfectly content. Between the porch and the backyard, there is ample space for a little one to "toddle" around. The outdoor shower was the perfect space to wind down (with convenient shelving for a glass of wine) at the end of a day full of beaching and exploring the island. You can see the intentionality and care that has gone into every detail of the home. From natural decor elements like driftwood and terrariums, to stunning art pieces on the walls, Joseph Dominic (a gentleman and a scholar), has put his heart into creating a space that welcomes. He is very responsive to guest needs and available to answer any questions. This home highlights what is best about the island. Time with family and friends, laughter, and the magic of the island. JD's house was the perfect home base for our Martha's Vineyard vacation. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood but is close to all of the action in Vineyard Haven. We loved the convenience of being within walking distance of some very nice gift shops and restaurants. The house had more than enough room for our family of four and the two friends who joined us for part of our stay. It is well equipped for barbequing and preparing meals. The expansive deck was the best place to enjoy our morning coffee and evening cocktails. The outside shower was a big hit! We loved everything about this house and our island vacation and we are putting this property on repeat. Thank you, JD for being such a great host! show more show less

We stayed at J.D.'s house for a week this summer--and what a wonderful retreat. Bright and airy with a huge, fenced back yard that was great for our dog.

The beds were super comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook at home every night--including a grill on the deck that also has a great table as well as a comfy seating area to enjoy your meal or morning coffee.

The house is close to West Chop which is a glorious part of the Vineyard and you can easily walk or bike to Vineyard Haven to shop on Main Street, go to the local beach, or get groceries.

Everything you need is provided: linens, towels, beach towels, beach chairs, great kitchen knives, spices, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper--just bring your swim suit and you are ready to go!

We had a very nice stay in this newly renovated home. The home is in West Chop about an 8 minute drive into the main shopping area of Vineyard Haven, so a car, Uber, or taxi is preferable, especially if going into Oak Bluffs or Edgartown. House has lovely landscaping, nice deck, and big picture windows allow for plenty of sunlight into the home. Host was very responsive to a few minor issues and the place was stocked with some very nice amenities when we arrived, which was great as we encountered bad weather! One of the bedrooms upstairs is an open loft without a door, the other is a small twin room. The two bedrooms downstairs- one twin, one queen, are very nicely done and offer plenty of storage space. The bathroom downstairs is larger than the one upstairs and both include some nice amenities! Overall we really enjoyed our stay and recommend this home! show more show less

The house is nestled on a quiet street just outside of Vineyard Haven. We really enjoyed the huge yard for both our dog and daughter to run around in. The house is stocked with everything you need for the beach from chairs to an umbrella and cooler making the stay easy and enjoyable. A short walk to public tennis courts or into town was a plus. JD was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay.
