Located right in the heart of town close to the golf course, ferry terminal, Main St, and the town beach. A car would not be necessary to enjoy downtown Vineyard Haven and only a bike would be needed to get to Oak Bluffs.

The house has a large fenced in backyard, and a very big front deck where you can enjoy the sun and have a meal outside.

    Very nice stay in this newly renovated home

    We had a very nice stay in this newly renovated home. The home is in West Chop about an 8 minute drive into the main shopping area of Vineyard Haven, so a car, Uber, or taxi is preferable, especially if going into Oak Bluffs or Edgartown. House has lovely landscaping, nice deck, and big picture windows allow for plenty of sunlight into the home. Host was very responsive to a few minor issues and the place was stocked with some very nice amenities when we arrived, which was great as we encountered bad weather! One of the bedrooms upstairs is an open loft without a door, the other is a small twin room. The two bedrooms downstairs- one twin, one queen, are very nicely done and offer plenty of storage space. The bathroom downstairs is larger than the one upstairs and both include some nice amenities! Overall we really enjoyed our stay and recommend this home! show more show less

    Stocked and Ready for Summer Fun

    The house is nestled on a quiet street just outside of Vineyard Haven. We really enjoyed the huge yard for both our dog and daughter to run around in. The house is stocked with everything you need for the beach from chairs to an umbrella and cooler making the stay easy and enjoyable. A short walk to public tennis courts or into town was a plus. JD was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

    I am a Merchant Mariner who spends half the year out at sea working on some of the largest ships in the world. The island is where I relax and reset after a long hitch working in the engine room.
    My family has been on the island since my grandparents first bought a house long before I was born. I recently just purchased my first house on the vineyard (my first house anywhere) and have always loved the idea of giving other people the ability to experience the magic of Martha's Vineyard that can only be understood first hand.
    Hotels are for the tourists. The fact that you are here means that you understand what the island is all about... comfort, relaxation, family, and natural beauty.

    What is special about this property?
    The house is located in the perfect spot for whatever your heart desires. You like to golf? Mink Meadows is just down the street. You like the beach? Tisbury Town Beach is a half mile to the East. Have a bit of a shopping problem or want a bite to eat? Main St. is only 2 streets over. Last but not least, if you are like me and love to look at immaculate multi-million dollar estates and daydream about having a cocktail on the porch and watching the sunset... you can go for a nice walk around West Chop and contemplate draining that 401k to make it a reality.

    Vineyard Haven is home to West Chop, one of the 2 island ferry terminals, the always fun Beach Road Weekend music festival, and much more.
