This cottage offers an open floor plan with a kitchen, family room and living room and an attached 3 season porch overlooking Hither Creek! The home has 3 bedrooms - one that is on the first floor has a queen bed and is adjacent to a full bath. The second floor has a twin bedroom, full bath and Master Bedroom with a deck overlooking the Creek, Madaket Harbor, and the ocean (clear days you can see to Tuckernuck Island). In the basement is a full laundry room, and outside is an outside shower and a deck for sunning or a picnic.

We are 1/2 mile from the Madaket Harbor Beach and 1 mile from Millie's Restaurant and Madaket Beach, which has lots of surf. If you don't bring a car, the bus system goes every 30 minutes - 5 minutes from the home and will take you to Town, or beaches or the other end of the Island - 'Sconset!

Never Disappoints!

My family and I have been renting from Linda for a few years and each year it never disappoints! Madaket is a very special part of the island with amazing sunsets, beaches and still holds the quaintness of Nantucket from the old days. Very conveniently located to the Wave shuttle, Millie's Restaurant and Market and of course the beautiful beach. All the amenities are provided with the house including air conditioning on those muggy, foggy days. Its a perfect rental!

At Home on Hither Creek

"Lil Scupper" proved to be the perfect home for our two-week vacation on Nantucket. Its ideal location on Hither Creek with close proximity to the bike path, and a short bike ride to Madaket Beach, make this home the perfect rental for adventure-seeking families, and for those wanting a peaceful summer retreat. All in a day you can paddle the creek in your kayak, bike to town for lunch, and head back to the beach for an afternoon of sun and fun. Preparing a great dinner is easy in this home, and afterwards you can watch a beautiful sunset from the top deck.

The home is well appointed with updated kitchen and baths, a fantastic year-round sun porch, and cozy bedrooms and living space. WiFi, laundry room and bikes for guests use are helpful amenities for your week long vacation.

Importantly, the homeowners are lovely to work with and extremely accommodating and flexible! show more show less

This home was completely refurbished in 2012. My husband and I spend our fall and springs here and a good deal of the winter as well.

What is special about this property?
The open floor plan allows a lot of flexibility for vacationers. The kids can be watching a show in the living room while the adults enjoy a quieter time hosting. The area is extremely quiet. Across the dirt road from our house are horses that are lovely to watch.

What is special about your town?
Nantucket is a Special place! Lots of beaches, many shops, great restaurants to name a few things that our offered.
