I've stayed at many different accommodations (inns, hotels, etc.) around Nantucket over the years, so I can confidently say this is one of the best. While the photos do a fine job of conveying the space, nothing compares to the way the cottage feels--it just feels good, the way you imagine an island cottage from the 1850s to feel. From the moment my husband and I stepped inside, we couldn't stop talking about how it was just what we'd been looking for all these visits to the island. The cottage is larger than you think, so there's plenty of room to spread out and find privacy if you need it. As for the host, Greg was personable, flexible, and beyond accommodating; could've chatted with him for a long time! The location is a 7-minute walk to Main St, yet quiet and private. As a lover of character and old houses, I think this cottage is great the way it is. I can't wait to visit again next year!

We enjoyed our stay at Greg's house in town. It was clean and worked perfect for us. Internet worked great as my wife had to work remotely. We had our car because we like to travel all around the island but the house is close enough to everything where a car is definitely not needed.

This was our 8th summer renting Greg's house! We couldn't imagine staying anywhere else! The backyard is just a dream to sit, relax, barbecue and hand out with friends. Walking distance to town makes everything SO convenient. The spacious kitchen (we live in NYC) is a dream to cook in. We truly couldn't imagine staying anywhere else and have already booked for next summer. Greg is super responsive and an excellent host. Thanks Greg! See you next summer!

We've rented this house multiple times over the past 5 years and have always enjoyed returning to the place we call 'home' on Nantucket. The history and charm of the house is exactly what we seek and the central location makes it easy for us to spend the week on island with bikes heading to town or to the beach.

We have stayed at this property several times. It is in a great location and the owner is very good to work with. It fits our family of 6 very well. We can't wait to go back.

This is the second time my family and I stayed at Greg's property and just as the first time, we were very pleased. The house is well equipped with everything a family would need for an extended stay and is well situated just outside of town - ~10 minute walk. Greg's place is our first choice anytime we consider a stay on the island.

This place is perfect location if you are looking to be close to everything, but still have a quiet street. Can walk to all shopping, groceries and all food with in 10 minutes.well appointed kitchen and great laundry facilities. Owner is very attentive and easy to get in touch with at anytime. We are definitely coming back next summer !

Greg's charming home is our home! This is our 8th year (I believe) staying here in a row and we just love it. It's inviting, charming with the greatest backyard and outdoor shower. A true Nantucket feel.

A 10 min walk to downtown is just unbeatable! We have already booked our vacation next year.

I've been coming to Nantucket for years and this place has historic charm. The place has everything you need to be comfortable with plenty of space for our family of 4. The center of town is quick walk to get groceries, browse the shops or a great restaurant. The water and town docks are also right there. The hosts were accommodating and attentive to details. I look forward to returning!

We had a great stay at Greg's house. The description was accurate, the home was clean and was well situated just a few minutes from downtown. The home was definitely on the rustic side but that is part of the charm. We'd happily consider staying in Greg's home again.

This was our first trip to Nantucket and finding a place to stay is so stressful. This house is lovely. You can avoid the stress of searching and choose this house for your stay! The location is perfect. So close to everything. The pictures on the website are nice but I promise you the property is even better in person.

This historic home is located on a private, quiet street. It's about a ten minute walk to the main shopping/dining in historic Nantucket. It has a modern/updated kitchen with many of the basic spices, condiments, etc. available for guests. It was great having a new washer/dryer with laundry soap available. The living room furniture is really comfortable...two sofas and an oversize lounge chair to spread out in . The backyard is private. Our family really enjoyed our stay!

This antique home is a wonderful blend of historical charm, an in-town, private location on a quiet one-way street, convenient to town and all out-of-town locations. The updated and well stocked kitchen, outdoor grill and patio were perfect for family meals. The best restaurants, shops, museums and seasonal events are all within walking distance.

The outdoor shower was a welcomed option after a day at the beach along with the use of a large washer and dryer for beach towels and family laundry. We can only imagine how cozy the house must be in the Fall and Winter.

Greg was a great host; always responsive and a helpful resource.

This is our 6th summer spending 2 weeks here and have already booked for next summer. It truly feels like home. We love everything about it! From the new outdoor shower, to the refrigerator drawers to the location, location location! Just a 10 min walk to town.

Our 2nd stay at this home was as good as our 1st visit last year. Dealings with Greg the owner were seamless and Greg kept us informed of some recent changes at the property as well.

Family had a great stay, and the house and location are perfect for visiting all that Nantucket has to offer. Proximity to Town, Public Transportation, and Beaches was perfect. We did not bring over a car again this year, and Weymouth Street location allows for easy walking access to most everything you'll need on the Island.

We are looking forward to next year's visit already!

Greg's place is great, it is right in Town, a very convenient walk to everywhere you want to be. The home itself is very charming, with a lot of character. Yet all the modern day amenities are there - updated kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable furniture. The yard is great too, oversized by Nantucket standards. No complaints whatsoever.

We spent a wonderful week here in late June/early July. The house was very comfortable and had absolutely everything we needed from a fully equipped kitchen to beach chairs and umbrellas to a relaxing outdoor patio area. The location was perfect - a short walk to town in a beautiful historic neighborhood. It was easy to get wherever we wanted to go from the house.

Wonderful house in a great location. Very short walk into town. This is very comfortable house and fits our family of 6 with no problems. There is a nice outdoor area and the kitchen is well equipped. We have stayed here 3 times and plan to go back in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at this antique home even for a rainy Memorial Day Weekend. We couldn't have asked for a better location. A leisurely walk to town past historical homes with carefully tended flower gardens- it was a pleasure to explore.

We loved the house and had plenty of room for four adults. The kitchen was a dream and very well equipped. The fenced in yard gave us our own little oasis, and we hope to come back next year to enjoy it in better weather!

We had a perfect getaway in this quaint 1850's house. Coming from a historic home ourselves we felt right at home. I loved how close it was to town yet we also had the privacy of a lovely backyard. The home provided all the amenities needed for our Nantucket stay. The owner Greg was a pleasure to work with. We can't wait to come back.

We have stayed at many properties over the past 30 years coming to Nantucket, but this charming house is by far our favorite. The house is easy walking distance to town and even has the rare to find parking spot. The kitchen is a home chef's dream and the outside patio is the perfect place for coffee, after beach drinks or BBQ'ing. The inside of the house has all the charm one would expect from a house built in the 1850's. We have stayed here in the summer and the fall, and both times of year we have found this property very pleasant and without a doubt, a fantastic value for anyone that is looking to stay in town. Greg is great to work with and has always been attentive to our needs and questions. Can't recommend this place enough!

Family of 5 (3 adult children) spent the week of July 11th 2020 at this Nantucket home and had a great experience! Owners and property were amazing, and everyone truly enjoyed their week on the Island. Location of property was perfect for a short stroll to downtown and all the restaurants, shops and "people watching".

No need for a car with this rental, as Taxi and Island Bus services are within a few minute walk and will get you to any beach or even over to Cisco Brewery. Property brings you back to how the old Captain's lived on the Island, and home was well appointed, clean, bright, with a great fully functional and updated kitchen to prepare those meals while not dining out on the Island. If you have Nantucket on your radar for a summer get away, you will not be disappointed with this home. We look forward to our 2021 summer vacation at this property.

This was our second year staying at this house. We love the location. It is on a quiet street close to everything - town, bike paths, grocery store. It has a great yard with patio. This was awesome during COVID, we enjoyed a lot of time playing yard games and having dinner outside. The house has a lot of original charm with some updates including kitchen and nice bathrooms. The bedrooms have AC - a plus for the few warmer nights. . We had a great time here in Nantucket again and look forward to coming back.

This is a great cottage with very good proximity to the shops in town. It is an old house but they have a lot of great updates if you need modern amenities and the charm is off the charts. Great backyard for grilling and gathering, nice kitchen and family room. Clean. Highly recommend.

My husband and I have been spending the summers on Nantucket for 10 years. During that time we stayed at several other summer houses. Then we found this home and now no longer have to spend time looking for any place else! It checked all of the boxes we needed; walking distance to town, pet friendly, outdoor space, old world charm, cooks kitchen including all the necessities, and a parking space.

If your preference is a brand new McMansion type construction rental, this is not the place for you. However, If you are looking for old Nantucket charm in a quaint 19th Century house that feels like home away from home, look no further. The owner Greg couldn't have been more helpful through the entire renting process and we are already booked for 2020! We can't wait to come back to Nantucket to our home away from home.

We had a fantastic fall getaway in Nantucket at Weymouth St, despite the fact that we arrived in heavy rain and, we now realize, we have no visual memory of our arrival-- it was raining too hard!
Despite the rain, the house is so central and convenient, we were able to bike all over the island. When we weren't biking, we were walking into town for shopping, meals and the Whaling Museum.
The house built in 1852 has retained its antique character. It is very comfortable and is equipped with a very modern kitchen with great appliances and a wonderful laundry. The yard is private and provides a lovely outdoor space.
The house is well represented by its pictures. It is not modern and sleek, but rather a wonderfully comfortable representation of an in town home.

We found this house to be a very comfortable and quiet place for three couples plus infant. The kitchen and laundry appliances plus the bathrooms and beds are up to date. The place is fully equipped with sand toys, chairs and towels for beach days. The side yard with grill and patio is a great asset for an in-town house. And, the house has a couple of 1850 era features that are fun to work with. The location is near-perfect for 10 min walks to all the downtown shops, attractions and the grocery store. One can easily bike or bus to the beaches – we went 7 days without a car. Greg, the owner, is straightforward, responsive and easy to deal with.

We had the pleasure of staying at this property last summer for two weeks and it was just fantastic. The best part... the back yard! We sat out there every day drinking wine or playing cards. It was private and quiet. Second best part... the distance to town! Whenever we wanted to go to town for ice cream, dinner, etc., it was just a 10 minute walk to wherever we wanted to go and no worrying about parking.

Greg was so responsive and kind and always answered our questions promptly. I would certainly recommend this charming cottage with history. It is the perfect example of old Nantucket quaint charm.

My family has enjoyed multiple visits to this lovely and well located home. Updated kitchen, beautifully maintained garden, historical charm and owner's warm welcome make this a very comfortable home away from home. Location makes walking to town or visiting beaches easy. We have been big fans of biking to nearby Children's Beach or Jetties Beach.
