The island is alive with the spirit of summer! It's time to kick off our favorite season on Nantucket by attending these July events.
This year's Race For Open Space will be held on Saturday July 1st in celebration of the Nantucket Conservation Foundation's 60th Anniversary! This 5K (3.1 miles), 10K (6.2 miles) race or 2 mile walk attracts runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels. Proceeds from the Race will go to the Foundation's Land Fund which helps to preserve and protect the Island's invaluable open spaces.
The Nantucket Comedy Festival is an annual summer event that brings top comedic talent to Nantucket Island as the major fundraiser for Stand Up & Learn™, an island-based, year-round comedy education program serving Nantucket's children. The festival will be happening July 13 - 15...tickets needed!
The annual summer fundraiser, Baskets & Bubbly, supports the island craft of Nantucket lightship baskets with a Celebration Under the Whale at the Whaling Museum, accompanied by an online auction providing bidders with the exclusive opportunity to bid on baskets and basket-related items.
Mark your calendars! Nantucket Island Open Water Swim is happening July 22nd.
Swimmers of all ages and skill levels are invited to take part in our annual event at beautiful Jetties Beach and help us support cancer treatment and patient care on Nantucket Island.
