About Funky Fruits Flamework Workshop...Turn fresh inspiration into glass in this fun, hands-on soft glass workshop! Students will design and create fruit-inspired beads, learning how to shape and control molten glass to form recognizable, playful designs.

You'll explore how to build and refine forms directly on the mandrel, adding details and dimension to bring your fruit to life. From simple shapes to more expressive designs, the class encourages creativity while strengthening your control and intention with soft glass. For those who want to experiment further, you'll also have the option to work off the mandrel for more sculptural forms.

This class is a perfect blend of skill-building and imagination, resulting in a collection of charming, colorful glass fruits to take home.

Safety & What to Expect

This class will be held at our Hyannis HyArts Campus Flamework Studio

Working with molten glass requires attention to safety at all times. All participants must wear 100% cotton or linen clothing (no synthetic fabrics), along with closed-toe shoes. Long hair must be tied back securely before class.

Protective eyewear will be provided to help you safely view the flame and glowing glass during the workshop.

All pieces created during class must cool slowly in a kiln overnight to ensure durability and prevent cracking. Finished work will be available for pickup the following day.
