About Martha's Vineyard Book Festival...Martha’s Vineyard has long been a haven for writers and authors. Celebrating the rich literary heritage of the island, the Martha’s Vineyard Book Festival, in its fifth year, is a gathering of a diverse group of writers in one place. Authors, both of local fame and national acclaim, will read from recent work, discuss the creative process and sign books. In this relaxed setting, there will be the chance to ask questions directly of an author and discover new authors. On Saturday, August 3, the book festival will be held at the Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown. On Sunday, August 4, the book festival will be in tents on the grounds of the Chilmark Community Center. Books will be available for purchase from Bunch of Grapes Bookstore.
