Pennywise 5K Walk/Run for the Edgartown Library

About Pennywise 5K Walk/Run for the Edgartown Library...The Friends of the Edgartown Library tried something ambitious last year -- organizing the first-ever Pennywise Path 5K Run/Walk to the New Library. This USATF-sanctioned event, held on Labor Day, was such an amazing, wonderful success that they're doing it all again this Labor Day 2014, Sept. 1.

Runners will gather at 9 a.m. that Monday at the Edgartown School and be shuttled by bus to the starting point on Pennywise Path, which runs roughly parallel to the Vineyard Haven Road. The route winds along the path, connecting with the bike path for the last mile or so through town to the school campus. The first 200 registrants will get a commemorative T-shirt.
