DETAILS: The Rising Tide Writers (RTW) are a diverse group of prose writers and poets who meet weekly at Harwich’s Brooks Free Library to share their writing and, in a supportive and positive atmosphere, offer constructive critique. The group has been meeting continuously for over ten years. Many of the members have published articles or short stories, and collectively have 20 plus published books that are currently available online as e-books and/or hard-copies. Many can be found in local book stores and Cape libraries. Some members also offer their skills as copy editors, proof readers, copy writers, and artistic designers.
You can find more information about the RTW at their website www.risingtidewriters.jimdo.com, where almost every writer has his or her own page. There you’ll find, along with bios/personal information, short stories, articles, essays, excerpts from published books and from works-in-progress.
The writers who are scheduled to read on May 23rd are:
1. Francoise Webb, author of “Safe from the Madness.”
2. Paul Fasano, author of “Postmarks from Hell,” to be published soon.
3. Finbarr Corr, author of “Bless Me, Mother: How Church Leaders Fail Women,” “Broken Promises: Whatever Happened to Vatican Council II?” “A Kid From Legaginney,” “Bridges from Legaginney,” and several more titles.
4. Marge Frith, author of “LUCKY- the Autobiography of a Goldfish.”
If time allows, these RTW members will also read: Susan Richmond and/or Joan Hennessey and/or Barbara Leedom.
