About Talk Of The Town: The Haunted History of New England...The Haunted History of New England by historian and lecturer Christopher Daley on October 18.
Mr. Daley is familiar to our audience because he has previously made a number of interesting presentations that were insightful and entertaining. The h
aunted stories will be a perfect fit for this pre-Halloween event. Chris will tell of Mercy Brown,The Vampire of Exeter, Rhode Island; the cursed Freetown State Forest in Massachusetts; the horrors of Lizzie Borden in Fall River, Massachusetts; the Nine Men’s Misery in Cumberland, Rhode Island; the ghostly happenings at the Mount Washington Hotel in New Hampshire; the spirits of Burial Hill in Plymouth, Massachusetts and the ghosts at the John Alden House in Duxbury, Massachusetts. The presentation melds historical fact together with legend and myth to produce an interesting and fascinating new look at events that really happened and the stories of haunting that followed them.

The series is made possible by: Charleen L. Johnson and the Sandwich Historical Society
