We truly enjoyed our time in this lovely home, from the bird feeder that provided endless amusement to the fire pit we spent our nights around. The home is large, airy, filled with tons of sunlight, and perfect for a family to relax in after a day at the beach. Perfectly situated on the Rail Trail we were able to walk or bike to the beach easily while still enjoying the woods surrounding the home. This is a perfect place to spend a week in Brewster : )

We could not have hoped for a more wonderful vacation. The house and the grounds were absolutely stunning; everything was comfortable and in working order. The unique design and many large windows really made us feel like we were in a tree house. We enjoyed long hours sitting outside listening to the birds, grilling, eating on the patio, and toasting marshmallows in the beautiful fire pit. The location could not be beat: just a few paces from the rail trail, an easy bike/jog to Nickerson State Park, a mile from Brewster Day Camp (my son's happy place) in one direction, and Snowy Owl Coffee Roasters (MY happy place) in the other. We biked everywhere, including to Linnell Landing beach and many adorable Cape Cod cafes, ice cream spots, and seafood shacks. But my favorite activity was a relaxing paddle on serene Blueberry Pond - what a treat to have access to the kayaks there! Thank you for all the care you have poured into this house, Eric. A restful stay in your Brewster oasis was just what this busy city family needed!

We had a wonderful time on our yearly fFather's Day trip. Eric was very responsive and accommodating with the entire process of our booking. The house itself has a very unique and warm, homey feel. Absolutely everything you will need is there. The location is perfect, with access to private Blueberry Pond and bike trail just steps away. Great place to to come and unwind for family and friends. We enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing vacation in this beautiful home. Eric is a gracious host who quickly responded to any inquiries we made. We found the house super clean and enjoyed the nearby rail trail , walks along the beach and kayaking at Blueberry Pond. Everyone slept well in the comfortable beds and there certainly plenty of space to spread out and use the fast internet on rainy days. We are definitely returning next year

Cool, comfy, and cozy, this home provides that needed renewal from a year of fast-paced and demanding work. Time for a swim? A short hike over the the deliciously cool Blueberry Pond Time for a hike? Head out to the flats and with the tide out, walk as far into the sea as you could ever imagine. Looking for that chowder and fish and chips? I recommend JT's Seafood Restaurant. Morning pastry? Try Patisserie Ever After. But the best part of all is when you retreat to the cottage and pull our your summer read (Mine this summer: "tom Lake") before you put the corn and burgers on the grills. Truly a retreat.

We just spent a lovely week at the Brewster Mountain Retreat. We brought our bikes and really appreciated the easy access to the bike trail. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need. We had some nice walks to the pond and around the neighborhood. As advertised, it is very quiet, beds were comfortable, and we slept incredibly well. We chose to mostly eat out so didn't do much cooking but everything is provided if you wish to cook indoors or out on the large grill.

Our family stays in vacation rentals several times a year and this might be the best one we've ever enjoyed. The house is in great condition, but incredibly warm, clean, and inviting. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could need and there was plenty of space for our family. The location is fantastic - convenient to spots up and down the Cape, with the adorable pond within a ten-minute walk.

My hard-to-please spouse told me in the first 24 hours, "This is one of my favorite vacations we've ever taken because of this house."

We spent a wonderful two weeks at the Brewster Mountain Retreat in August. The house was perfectly situated right off the rail trail and close to all of our favorite beaches. Even though the house isn't on a real mountain, it has the feel of one--secluded, peaceful, and surrounded by trees. The house itself is super comfortable and a lot of fun to explore. We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

The house is everything pictured and more! The birdfeeder outside the dining area provided hours of enjoyment. There is plenty of space for food storage. The only drawback was the compact spiral staircase to the 3rd floor bedroom. The grandchildren made as few trips as possible up there. The loft den was a favorite spot for tv viewing.There was plenty of space for this 3 generation vacation.

The post & beam construction, soaring ceiling, wall of windows and stained glass lamps made this an interesting & unique home! There was more than enough room for our party of 4 adults, and the master on the first floor offered lots of privacy.

The house is up on a hill (steep driveway) surrounded by trees. We enjoyed the solitude, especially with coffee on the sunny deck while listening to the gentle waterfall. The location is great; close to scenic Rte. 6A, the bike trail, and Blueberry Pond. The third level loft was hard to access via a narrow, spiral staircase, and the lack of AC could be an issue in the summer.

We had a wonderful stay at Brewster Mountain! The house is quite large and can accomodate families with a wide range of ages. It has different spaces for small children, older children, and adults, and distractions galore: a busy birdfeeder right outside the dining room window, bookshelves tucked away in corners waiting for children to discover them, a large outdoor space with a firepit, and more.

The house is on top of a wooded hill, so it feels removed from any Cape bustle, but it also happens to be adjacent to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, a short walk (or shorter car ride) to the private Blueberry Pond, and right off of 6A in Brewster and a number of bayside public beaches.

Eric, the owner, was communicative throughout the check-in process and our stay, and he keeps the property extremely well outfitted. We hope to return.

We took a long break for October and Brewster Mountain House was beyond perfect for us and our three kids (6-9-10). They walked in and were instantly in awe of the design! It is beautiful, functional and fun. The location is really great. Our previous experience on Cape Cod was limited but Brewster is a really amazing spot and the neighborhood is safe, quiet and friendly.

This probably isn't your ideal place if you want to throw loud parties. The property is large with a lot of privacy and wildlife. Spend a few bucks to fill the bird feeder with seed and you will be treated to daily entertainment outside the window. Blueberry Pond is a gem and amazing beaches are minutes away. If you don't know about the tidal flats here, you are really in for a treat as only a few places in the world have these conditions. The ocean side regularly treated us to seals popping out of the waves right in front of us.

Lastly, Eric was friendly, helpful and professional through the entire process. The house was clean and well prepared. My parents stayed in the house for a bit and Eric came by one morning with fresh Brewster oysters - I'm not sure my father will ever stop raving about that. We are already talking about the next time we can come visit!

We arrived in September (a great time to be in Cape Cod!) and had a lovely stay at the house. It's in a great location, quick drive/bike ride from the bay beaches and Brewster's main street. There is a farm stand (Chatham Farms) right nearby. There's also a main bike path entrance minutes from the house!

The house itself is nestled in a private area, with isolation from neighbors and a great wooded backyard. It is cozy, tranquil and well decorated. Really nice views from inside, with floor to ceiling windows!

Everything was clean and comfortable. The house has everything for the daily life. Great addition of the fire pit outside. There are also kayaks to use on the private pond in the neighborhood!

My family and I planned a few days away for before remote school was to begin for our teenage children. The Brewster Mountain house was absolutely perfect. The house is unique and we really enjoyed the post and beam construction. It felt like a special get away rather than like we were just staying in someone else's house. The house was very clean, in excellent condition and it offered everything we could ever need. The wifi was great. We enjoyed the large dining table for game nights. We enjoyed quiet mornings out on the deck with our coffee. The bird feeder right outside the dining area was amazing! It was a constant highway of birds of all kinds.

The bike path is just a very short bike ride away and we took advantage. We biked dozens of miles around beautiful Cape Cod. We enjoyed the cute, local Blueberry Pond Beach, which our small dog really loved. We look forward to visiting again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful experience! We had a wonderful stay at Brewster Mountain Retreat. The house is very conveniently located to most Brewster area attractions: CCRT bike path, Linnell Landing and Crosby Beaches, Nickerson Park, Blueberry pond (private access), Hopkins House Bakery, Cobies, JTs, etc.
The house is very spacious, airy, well appointed with all the needed equipment and necessities. Beautiful deck, bird feeder, water fountain, really relaxing and soothing.
The owner is very pleasant and easy to communicate with before and during the stay. We loved our stay and look forward to returning to this property.

Our family of four spent a week here and had the best time! We have two young children and they were occupied for hours with they toys and puzzles. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The house is perfectly situated, with easy access to the bike path, beaches, and great local restaurants. Hosts were easy to communicate with and very responsive. With both of our offices closed since March, my wife and I decided to move the madness that is two parents working full-time from home with a six-year-old and 18-month-old in tow to the lovely Brewster Mountain Retreat. And boy, was it the right move!

The house is ideally located, a hop skip and a jump from the Cape Cod Rail Trail and Blueberry Pond, both highlights for our family. You can access the Trail through an easily passable grassy path (our six-year-old who only just lost her training wheels three months before our visit had no problem navigating it) without venturing onto a busy street. And Blueberry Pond, with its warm water, gradual descent and private association beach is a hidden gem. It was not unusual for ours to be the only family there enjoying it and when neighbors were there, they were always friendly and respectful of social distancing protocols. On top of this, you're a 10 minute bike ride to Linnell Landing Beach (though, in truth, we bought a Brewster beaches parking sticker since we were there so long). We loved exploring all of the Brewster beaches, which change so dramatically with the tides, and riding our bikes for almost daily ice cream visits to Cobie's.

The house is very well equipped for a fun and comfortable stay. We were so grateful to have access to two kayaks and life jackets as well as bikes (including a trailer for the 18-month-old)! Our six-year-old also loved roasting marshmallows by the fire pit and we all enjoyed eating meals on the deck. The kitchen is well stocked -- we cooked 90% of our meals -- and the grill is fantastic. There's even a great cache of kids' toys, games and books.

Eric is a fantastic host. He is very communicative, warm and responsive and offered so many terrific tips (we were particularly grateful for his sharing the phone number of his lobster guy!). We've rented many homes on We Need a Vacation, VRBO, and AirBnB, and Eric is among the best owners we've worked with. Thank you Eric!

I recommend Brewster Mountain Retreat without hesitation!

My family of five (two adults and three kids, ages 10-14) spent a week at the Brewster Mountain Retreat. We had an excellent time and the house was great: clean and well-stocked with everything you might need. It was more than enough room for the five of us. Another adult couple, grandparents for example, could have comfortably stayed in the house as well.

Thanks to its many windows and its location up on a hill, there was a lovely breeze through the space most of the time. My daughters loved climbing the circular stairway to sleep in the third floor loft. The floor to cathedral ceiling windows made you feel like you were outside even when you were in! We ate dinner every night on the deck. Then, most nights, we had a fire in the fire pit and made s'mores

We loved the access to Blueberry Pond and we were often the only people there. After going to the ocean in the morning or evening, we usually went to the pond around lunchtime or in the early afternoon. The pond is a short walk/bike ride/car ride from the house. The beautiful Cape Cod Rail Trail is a couple minutes walk or bike ride from the house. We brought bikes and used them every day. The Brewster Mountain Retreat is a wonderful home base for enjoying Cape Cod and we would definitely rent this property again!

This house is beautiful and has a spacious layout. An easy 10 minute walk to Blueberry Pond which was an unexpected treat! The pond offers sand, swimming, and boating in such a peaceful and beautiful place. We also took advantage of the 5 minute walk to the bike trail which was another amazing setting. Beaches were an easy 5 minute drive away - this location has it all!

The bedrooms had plenty of space and were comfortable. The TV/sitting room on the second floor was cozy. The 1st floor open layout allowed for multiple members of the family to do different things and have space. We loved our stay and would love to come back again!
