The Chatham was an amazing place to stay. Our children even said they wanted to move there. The owners thought of everything; beach towels, chairs, ice maker, and an adult mini-fridge to make the stay relaxing and enjoyable. The house, and yard, is spacious and has all the amenities you would need including a firepit, grill, and outdoor shower. The location is perfect for beaches, ice cream, down town shopping, and it is not too far from Hyannis. Highly recommend

The Chatham was a perfect place for our family of 4. Every detail was thought of and it felt like "home." It is located close to many of the things we love - bike path, beaches, and of course some ice cream. We would love to return to The Chatham!

We arrived at The Chatham on Saturday morning. The house is just perfect. The care and thoughts that have gone into all the details made this getaway exceptional. Everything we needed was there. We were in close proximity shopping, dining and relaxing. We definitely would stay again and highly recommend this home to enjoy your next getaway. I only wish that the weather was better so that we were able to enjoy the outside shower and lounge on the back deck. Thank you for sharing this beautiful house with us. We had a wonderful stay in Chatham, and I would highly recommend this property!

The house and property were clean and immaculately maintained, and very true to the photos. We enjoyed the spacious deck and backyard, and the outdoor shower was a real treat! The kitchen has everything you need, and such a nice place to start the day on vacation!

The neighbourhood is nice and quiet, but so close to the beach (by car or bike), shops and all the fun of Chatham. Location-wise, you couldn't ask for better! show more show less

This home is in a very quiet neighborhood. Great location on the Cape and central to a few beaches within close driving distance. It is also close in proximity to the grocery store, bike trail and many restaurants. The ferry to Nantucket, which we did one day, was only 10 minutes away.

The house is very clean with many amenities. The rooms were beautifully furnished and comfortable. The back deck is super and a beautiful extension of generous outdoor living. We ate all of our meals outside on the large table. It is beautifully landscaped with a nice lawn which we used to play some games.

This made a nice week long stay on the Cape very enjoyable. We will definitely come back! show more show less

My wife, daughter and I stayed at "The Chatham" this past summer and couldn't have been happier with the experience. The location was great, the house was in excellent condition both inside and outside, and the owner was very helpful and responsive throughout our stay. We were truly impressed with small details that made for a stress free week. There were ample beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers available for the beach as well as games and toys for kids. Perhaps the best feature was the antique "adult fridge" in the garage with a take a beer/leave a beer policy that introduced me to some of my now favorite libations!

We have been renting in the Harwich/Chatham area for several years and this house was our favorite to date. I would recommend it highly to future renters and I'm happy to say that we will be returning for another week in the summer of 2021! show more show less

We typically rent a house in Chatham and have stayed at many different places over the years. This home is a gem and we will definitely come back! It has all the comforts of home and decorative touches that elevate it above the typical rental home. It's simply lovely, warm and so comfortable. The backyard is like an extension of the house, feeling more like an open-air living space than a deck. We loved the fire pit and outdoor shower too. Don't pass this property up! The owner is warm and goes out of her way to express care for the comfort of your stay in her home. show more show less

We LOVED staying at “The Chatham” for one week in July this year (2018). It was our first time ever renting a home on the Cape—or anywhere, for that matter. We generally enjoy the beach via hotel, bed and breakfast inn, or even by cruising. This year, however, we thought that we would check off one more item on our bucket list by renting a home on the Cape for a week. We are so glad we did so, and so glad that we chose this perfect home for a delightful week on Cape Cod.

Where to start? Well, the home was perfectly situated on a quiet street that was just about 5-10 minutes (at most) from downtown Chatham and a plethora of great shopping and dining. It was also just down the road a bit from not only the upscale Chatham Village Market, but also the Chatham Fish Market (fresh fish, right off the boat) and the expansive and clean Stop and Shop—depending on which direction we headed. We enjoyed all of these venues, as we had great dining not only at restaurants but also at our home for the week, thanks to its beautiful, modern kitchen, as well as its fantastic very large gas grill (with a perfect searing element) which was great for searing steaks, scallops, and more.

The home was very spacious, comfortable, and all on one floor. Its three bedrooms were all of good size, and the master bedroom—with its en-suite bathroom—was perfect. Our master bath had a huge step-in shower—terrific! The Central air conditioning was easily controlled, and made the temperature and humidity in the house just the way we wanted it. The three bedrooms nicely accommodated our family: my wife and adult son and me, who spent the entire week there, as well as my daughter and son-in law who visited on the weekends. The second bathroom was a must in our minds when we chose to rent, and it worked out just right—especially since it had both a shower and a bath.

Outside, the two level deck (or two decks, depending how you look at it) was fantastic for morning coffee and contemplation, as well as for dining in the evening. The attractive table, chairs, umbrella, and chaise lounges, all added to the comfort level. The large backyard was often visited by singing birds and by a cute little bunny rabbit. The outdoor shower was comfortable and clean, and we loved using it after trips to the various beaches on the Cape. Most often, we went to Lighthouse Beach in Chatham, but visited other beaches as we explored the Cape. Oh, and the fire pit was just right for late evening conversation and S’mores.

The home was well-stocked with spices, condiments, beach chairs, paper towels, dish and laundry detergent (the washer and dryer conveniently located on the main floor behind louvered doors), and all the essentials. Alyssa, the owner, seemed to have a sixth-sense about all we might need, and all we might want to know. She was easy to contact and extremely responsive in arranging the entire week. We really had no need to contact her during the week (as everything went perfectly) but she did check in with us by email during the week to ensure that all was going well.

What more can I say? It was just what we hoped for and just what we had always dreamed about whenever thinking about renting a home for a week on the Cape. We would love to return to “The Chatham” in the future for more wonderful times on Cape Cod.

Our family of 4 (2 boys ages 9 & 12) have stayed here for the past 2 summers for 4th of July week. The place is fantastic overall! It's roomy, well designed & equipped. Beautiful interior deign and a nice sized quiet backyard (deck, table, chairs, umbrellas & fire pit ). The outdoor shower is fabulous and the garage is equipped with everything you need for the beach or picnic. Kitchen is stocked with essentials and its spacious layout is terrific for our family and extended family on occasion. The street is quiet and VERY close to the rail trail - bonus for us as we love to cycle. Downtown Chatham is super close as is a grocery store, package store, and many restaurants and retail stores. My brother lives in Harwich & it's an easy drive or cycle to his place. A true gem of a house at the Cape with an amazing central location. Thank you for so many great memories in your Cape Cod home! This was a perfect house for our family of 5 to use for a relaxing vacation. Pictures are accurate; house is well decorated and landscaping is well maintained. Very easy house to use since many items were provided (beach chairs, coolers, towels). Glad that we had 2 bathrooms and an outdoor shower. Pleasure to sit on the deck for meals and relaxing on loungers. Located on a quiet street that is near large markets and easy access to many towns on the Cape. Owner was very responsive.
