This is our home, and we’d like to share it! We are nestled in a quiet corner of Chatham. Come, enjoy and make yourself at home! We won’t be on property but not far away, if you need anything.
We offer two bedrooms and a bonus room for additional sleeping space, accommodating a total of 6 people, two full bathrooms, one upstairs and one down. The living area is arranged in a “wrap around stairs” floor plan, consisting of a living room, dining room and kitchen. In addition, there is a comfy den for reading, playing games, child’s play or quiet time. Relax in the spacious living room, with bright natural light, comfortable seating, 50” Smart Fire TV (no cable access), electric fireplace and bay window, overlooking the lower yard and woods beyond.
Enjoy your meals in the dining area or on the adjacent porch. The fully stocked kitchen has all the conveniences; just add the food! Help yourself to any of the cooking essentials you may find in the cabinets.
Pass through sliding glass doors from the dining area into the three-season porch with a dining table and seating area. This is a cozy spot to enjoy a meal or relax and take in the views of the backyard, with mature trees and lush plantings.
Upstairs is where you sleep! The large master bedroom has an adjustable queen-sized bed, plenty of dresser space, two closets, one of which is the pass through to the shared bathroom. A few chairs provide seating and a 32” TV (Amazon fire stick provided) for your viewing. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed, dressers, futon and a 32” TV (Amazon fire stick provided). The bonus room has two twin beds.
There are a few outdoor areas to appreciate the beauty of nature. Step from the porch to the patio and fenced yard, complete with an outdoor shower. Prepare a meal on the gas grill and eat under the umbrella-table, stay warm or appreciate the ambiance of the gas fireplace, play yard games or relax on the tree-hung hammock. Take the stairs to the lower yard and spend time at the firepit with a gas fireplace (wood fires are not permitted), have a picnic, play more yard games or just sit and enjoy nature from the bench swing, nestled in the woods. Don’t miss sitting “under the tree canopy, on the tree-branch bench”. In the evening, the moon and the stars are breathtaking and the fireflies are plentiful!
Neighborhood amenities aren’t far away! 9/10 of a mile to Forest Beach on Nantucket Sound (no parking fee); 4 minute drive, 5 minute bike ride or load the wagon and take the 20 minute walk! Be sure to find the Forest Beach Conservation Area with a beautiful vista of Nantucket Sound. The trail takes you down and around the marsh. A small neighborhood playground, off Kitty’s Lane, is a 2 minute drive and offers tennis, basketball and a child’s playground. One property separates our home from the Cape Cod Rail Trail for biking, walking, running. Take a 10 minute trail walk to the local ice cream shop, Short ‘n’ Sweet, or a 25 minute bike ride to downtown Chatham.
Chatham is a wonderful place to live and visit. We welcome our visitors and want them to have a fabulous time. There is something for everyone, including beaches and ponds, boating, fishing, shopping, theatre, art galleries, arts and crafts fairs, Cape Cod Baseball League games, under the lights, and so much more. Biking and hiking are popular. There are numerous hiking trails in Chatham and surrounding towns. Clam shacks and ice cream are a favorite for many and there are plenty to choose from. Dining is also a pleasure with our many restaurants. As a matter of fact, there are 2 very nice restaurants within walking distance of your home away from away, “Pieces” and “Drifters”, both with their unique style and offerings.
Visit our neighboring town of Harwich Port, just 2 miles to the west, where you will find beautiful Saquatucket Harbor, offering ferry service to Nantucket Island, fishing charters, Cap’n Kids Fishing Adventures, Cape Cod Harbor Cruise, artisan shacks, and Dockside Café, for a seafood treat with a view. Beautiful site to see!
Take a day trip to historic Sandwich on the Upper Cape or eclectic Provincetown on the Lower Cape, the tip of Cape Cod. Explore any one of the 15 towns on Cape Cod and you will be delighted that you did.
