We stayed at this cottage for a week and had a lovely time. It's very private and very clean. The owner was kind and responsive to all texts and communication. One tip to first-time visitors, arrive BEFORE dark. It'll be difficult to find the cottage once it's dark.

My family and I stayed in the Oyster Shack all through the winter and could not have been happier. I can only imagine how wonderful this spot is in the summertime. If you are looking for a cozy, quiet cottage nestled in the heart of Chatham, this is the spot for you. Everything was in tip top shape upon arrival, and Hart and Lauren could not have been more helpful or friendly. I highly recommend the Oyster Shack to anyone who wants a lovely stay in Chatham. First, an awesome cottage that is super clean and well maintained. Everything is updated and well cared for. The owner, Hart, has done it right. A great cottage with a nice yard and close to town as well. Hart was a dream to deal with. He is low key and not stressed out. He doesn't try to squeeze every penny from you either! Although he is low key, Hart takes care of you and everything needed. I would recommend the Oyster Shack to anyone, on or off season!

We had a great stay at the Oyster Shack! We've vacationed in Chatham for three years, and this is our favorite. The location is wonderful - just a short walk/drive into Chatham, and the beach at Oyster Pond is very close. The yard was the perfect size for our dogs to enjoy, and we were just over 10 minutes from Thompson Field, 57 acres for them to run. The area is quiet and very private, and the owner was very accessible and helpful. We enjoyed every day we spent at the Oyster Shack, and hope to come back next year. show more show less

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and we have not a single negative comment. We cannot say enough about how fantastic the cottage is! From floor to ceiling it is spotless and everything is like new. The furniture is very comfortable, especially the beds. The did a great job - appliances are top of the line- flat screen TVs, the Bose system, the coffee maker, the cookware, etc. The owner's love of the house can really be seen in all of his special touches
We loved spending our mornings on the deck, enjoying the morning sun. All you can hear are birds, no sounds of traffic or any neighbors. The grounds are kept up beautifully, with plush grass and flowering shrubs. The owner was very friendly and available at all times if we had a question.
We loved being in Chatham, but staying in the Oyster Shack made the week great!

We have been staying here during off season for several years. We had tried 2 other local rentals in the area before coming here and this is, by far, the best. The landlord is exceptional and pays attention to detail and makes sure things are repaired or replaced as needed. The area is terrific and the home is wonderful. Could not ask for more and just a short drive to the beach. If I was not disabled I would be able to walk to the beach. Beautiful front and back yard. The entire package is great. show more show less
