Our extended family had a wonderful time at this rental! The location was super convenient. We enjoyed being able to walk to get ice cream, donuts, and last minute items from the general store. We also loved being so close to Mayflower beach, our family's favorite for our young kids. The house had lots of space for our three families to spread out and we really appreciated the additional kitchen space in the breakfast kitchen. Because some of the rooms can only be accessed by walking through other rooms, we had to be strategic about sleeping arrangements. However, there was still plenty of space for our group of 16. We loved being right next door to a public playground for the kids. The backyard has lots of space and feels very private, even though it's located on a main road. Also the AC was a huge plus! Twelve adults, aged 20 to 91, stayed together for a week-long reunion in this lovely home in Dennis in August 2021. The week happened to be very hot and humid, and we were so glad for the quiet and efficient central AC!

Our family cooked and ate together every night, sometimes using the outdoor grill and sometimes the kitchen; both areas had everything we needed to make and serve meals for 12. We slept comfortably and enjoyed the two gathering rooms, one with television and one without, so people could choose.

We loved the historical aspects of the home, and we also appreciated that fresh donuts and a well-stocked market were nearly across the street for easy access. The Dennis beaches with their huge tidal shifts are very close, as is a lovely, cool, fresh-water lake. We had a wonderful time! show more show less

It is pretty difficult to find a vacation rental for our large family but this place delivered. Tons of space with 2 kitchens and 2 living rooms which was nice for everyone to spread out a little. The property definitely has a lot of quirks and is deep in history, which makes it memorable. Pretty neat to stay at a place that dates back before American independence. Despite its long past it has all the modern amenities you could ask for. A good bargain. The kitchen has lots of supplies left from previous guests, so definitely ask what's available before arriving for your rental week.

The yard is enormous. Those with kids will definitely appreciate this.

Getting to the beach was not too difficult as long as you arrived early or taxied people back and forth. The quaint village of the Dennis is walking distance which was great for grabbing last min supplies at the market or wandering over with kids to the creamery.

Absolutely loved this house. Everyone liked the way the original old style of the house has been kept. We liked the big yard for the grandkids to play, and not close to the street.

Great location, close to lots of beaches and places to eat. And ice cream was right around the corner! It is definitely a wonderful house for all the family to stay.

I found this property for a last minute vacation for our yearly vacation with friends and couldn't have been happier. It's a great house with antique charm and we had plenty of room for 5 families for the week.

The front and back yards were great for all sorts of activities for the kids and Dennis Village is a short walk away not to mention Mayflower and Corporation beaches are 5 mins down the road. The owners were very accommodating and made the whole rental process seamless.

We loved staying at the historic Daniel Stone House for our large family vacation- including 4 grandparents, 4 parents, and 4 kids ranging from ages 4 to 16 years old.

When we all vacation together, we need to look for certain rental features- and this house checked them all off the list! There is a downstairs queen bedroom (and others) with a walk in shower for easy grandparent access, 2 family/sitting rooms, plenty of bathrooms and a "bunk" room with multiple twin beds for a week of cousin sleepovers together!

We also loved the bonus kitchen, which we dubbed "the tavern" since it was where we kept the "adult drinks". Also, there is a great neighborhood playground right next door, an ice cream place, a market, a coffee shop and other great stores within a 5 minute walk.

Mayflower and adjoining beaches are only a 5 minute drive down the street and it was very easy to drop off and pick up "the beach crew". We didn't pay for beach parking once all week.

Everyone loved learning about the history of the house and were intrigued by the original historical features still in place. We had an incredible time exploring Dennis and making family memories in this house! show more show less

We booked this home as a location to stay in with family and host our small, 30-person backyard wedding. After visiting several potential homes on the Cape, we chose this one based on the wonderful setting, private set-back from the road, perfect backyard, and 1766 historical charm. The barn and shed on the property, the MASSIVE mature white oak tree, the picnic table, and the tree swing made for awesome photo-ops.

The backyard was perfect for an outdoor event, large enough to set up several different "spaces" within the party for the ceremony, cocktails, dinner, etc. It was just perfection and far exceeded our expectations when it all came together. The interior of the house was perfect too - two kitchen areas were very helpful, two living rooms, a great comfy sectional couch, ground floor bedrooms and a step-in shower meant that we could easily have my 91 year old grandmother stay with us. As for the hosts - we could not have had better communication, flexibility, responsiveness, and overall hospitality and support for our wedding weekend.

We will never forget our incredible stay at this rental!! Would highly recommend to anyone.

For our annual golf vacation we stayed at the newly renovated stone house. We had nine people there and plenty of room for all. The house has plenty of parking, a large yard, a full kitchen and a grill on the patio. Also, there is a grocery store right across the street with at least three excellent restaurants within walking distance.

Looking forward to returning next year.
