Description

Attending a wedding in New Seabury? We offer Sunday to Sunday rentals!!!!

Welcome to Hydrangea Cottage! This quintessential, Nantucket-style cottage with private ocean beach 200 yards at the end of the street is one of the first cottages built in New Seabury's Maushop Village in the 1950's. Fully renovated in 2018, this 863 square foot, free standing cottage boasts luxurious finishes to ensure our guests maximum comfort. The cottage offers two primary floor bedrooms. The first bedroom offers a queen size bed while the other bedroom has two, side by side twin beds that join together to make a king size bed. The primary floor bathroom offers a walk in shower. There is an additional fully enclosed outdoor shower that offers hot/cold plumbing and a foot rinse station. The loft space, which is only accessible by an original ships ladder, offers a queen size bed.

Park your car for the week and flip flop to the beach, the shops/restaurants/activities at the Popponesett Marketplace and the Popponesett Inn or rent a bike and go to the spit. Hydrangea Cottage is the perfect destination for couples and families looking to truly relax in style while on vacation. Centrally located between Hyannis and Falmouth, staying at Hydrangea Cottage makes ferrying to Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard for the day an easy trip.

Unlike many rental properties on Cape Cod, our rental runs Sunday to Sunday, which is convenient for those attending Saturday weddings at the New Seabury Country Club, Willowbend Country Club or the Popponesett Inn. We take great pride in ensuring that Hydrangea Cottage is clean, organized and well appointed. We are constantly maintaining and updating the cottage with our guests needs in mind. Unfortunately, Hydrangea Cottage is not appropriate for families with children under the age of 10 years old due to safety concerns with the loft space.

    Maushop Cottage Review

This cottage is completely renovated and absolutely GORGEOUS!! Everything was there so we just needed to pack an overnight back and just start relaxing! Walking distance to the beach and marketplace, no need to hop in our car and try to find parking which is amazing! The owner was very accommodating to us and very sweet. She was a delight to work with. We will be back this summer!!

By definition, I am a Cape Cod ''washashore''...a newcomer to a coastal community, a non-native. While my extended family has called Cape Cod home for 75 years, my family of origin moved to Cape Cod from the midwest in 1980. As an adult, I chose to return to serene Cape Cod because anyone who has been to the cape knows how alluring the cape can be. I love exploring the beauty of this island and I know you will, too.

What is special about this property?
Park your car and spend your vacation flip flopping or cruising on your bicycle. Within close proximity to a private association beach, the Popponesett Marketplace, the Popponesett Inn, and the New Seabury Country Club, whether you're looking to eat a giant lobster roll at the infamous Raw Bar Mashpee or you're attending a wedding at the inn, you simply can't beat the location of Hydrangea Cottage.

What is special about your town?
New Seabury is a coastal village in Mashpee, Massachusetts. Mashpee was settled and incorporated in 1660, however, Cape Cod was occupied for more than ten thousand years by indigenous peoples. Mashpee is the site of the headquarters of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, one of two federally recognized Wampanoag groups.

Centrally located between Falmouth and Hyannis, Mashpee is conveniently equidistant from both the Bourne Bridge and the Sagamore Bridge. The shops/restaurants of Mashpee Commons is a short drive from Hydrangea Cottage as are the island ferries making day trips to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard possible.
