I have owned this summer cottage for many years and spent numerous summers here in Mattapoisett with my wife and son who is now 31 years old. Watching him grow up enjoying the salt water and its activities was a real pleasure for my wife and I. It's a perfect family location. There is a lot to experience from taking a harbor boat ride in historic New Bedford to visiting the mansions in Newport., R.I.
Horseneck Beach in Wesport is a treat for surfing and fishing. Providence, RI and Boston are cities to visit while in Mattapoisett. Of course, Newport, RI and Plymouth rock are ''must visit'' places as well.
Our favorite are the local seafood and Portuguese restaurants in the area with reasonable prices. Such a treat!
Everything is close from Mattapoisett and yet the beach is right at your doorstep. The best secret is no need to cross over the busy Bourne Bridge and crowed Cape Cod streets and restaurant lines when you are vacationing in Mattapoisett. However, be sure to visit Cape Cod and enjoy its natural beauty and beaches too.

Just about everyone visiting at 21 Cove feels immediate relaxation. A recent visitor said, Bob, ''just standing here on the deck looking out at the water, I feel the tension draining from my body, what a spot, it's heaven on earth.''
It's the perfect place to relax, write a novel, think or ponder a new direction in life. It's peaceful and enjoyable. The water is warm and inviting. The feel of salt water and sun gives you healing and pleasure. Yes, you will love this place as we do!

What is special about your town?
Why fight the bridge traffic to Cape Cod when all you are looking for is right here in Mattapoisett. No traffic jams. No large lines at restaurants. No very high Cape prices either. Lots of very, very good restaurants, local seafood and fantastic Portuguese style. You won't break the bank eating out because prices are very reasonable. I can provide you with a list of suggestions. Mattapoisett itself is special. A sailing community with plenty to do and see. Lots of fun. You won't be disappointed. Bike trails, boating, New Bedford zoo, theatre, It's all here. A well kept secret.
