The cottage includes a large master bedroom, sleeping loft, TV room, great room, galley kitchen and basement bunk room for the kids. An old time Cape experience.

Walk to water, Pleasant Bay public landing and Meetinghouse Pond public dock for swimming, fishing and boat launch. Surfing, swimming, boogie boarding, fishing, 1.5 miles to Nauset Beach, large parking area and Food Trucks. Walk or bike the quiet, tree-lined streets of East Orleans. Excellent shopping and dining in East Orleans Center. Enjoy the ocean views and smells on a seaside trail at the edge of Barley Neck. Enjoy bayside beaches, bike path, public tennis courts and playground in Orleans.

    Great Vacation Home to Relax and Unwind

    We have enjoyed going to Patty's vacation home on the Cape for the past two years and staying for 2 weeks each summer! The house has everything we need and is very comfortable. We love lounging in the backyard and hanging out at the bar area behind the barn. The yard is spacious and perfect for any outdoor game as well as having cookouts and lobster/clam bakes! The gardens are beautiful and add to the relaxing atmosphere! It is a very quiet, peaceful and beautiful neighborhood!

    There is plenty of room in the house to accommodate two families - with the basement space for the kids! Lots of space to relax and things to do. We especially enjoy the outdoor shower that can be used anytime during the day!

    Patty has always been so accommodating and helpful! She is very responsive and it is very evident that she takes great pride in her home! We thoroughly enjoy staying in her home and are able to relax and unwind while there! We can't wait to go back!     show more show less

    Hey there, we are headed out now after a truly wonderful week at your home. After being there last year, it so felt like home this year. The improvements you've made around the place are all so lovely. The gardens are just beautiful and so enjoyed them. It was a beautiful week for the beach. The new mini splits are amazing. We cleaned up throughly and left everything tidy. Our little Finn, who is 4, thinks this is our summer home, lol. Thank you for a wonderful stay. So many wonderful family memories made.     Such a wonderful week on the Cape together enjoying your lovely home. Our two families both agreed that it worked perfectly for our families. Your home is warm, lovely and very cozy. My favorite room is the sunroom where I could enjoy my coffee and start the day. And we could all play games. Wish I could take that room home with me ?? The outside space is so perfectly planned and we enjoyed it all. From the lovely gardens, to the epic treehouse, to the firepit and our most favorite place; the bar. Our dogs enjoyed running with the kids and sitting by the fire with us. The downstairs area was perfect for them and for the kids to all sleep together in an epic sleepover. We enjoyed many adventures and lots of great food during our week. Nauset beach was quite the favorite with my crew.
    Im so happy that I came across your listing and that we were able to stay at your home. Thank you again for everything. We truly loved every minute and were quite sad to leave. My young nephew Finn, who is 3, thought it was our new home lol and was so sad to leave.     show more show less

    Lovely Orleans Rental

    My family & I rented this home for five nights. Patty was a pleasure to work with & promptly responded to my inquiry as well as my questions. I can be quite picky with rentals & even though it's a pet friendly rental, it was clean & free from pet fur. Our 13 year old lab even made the trek with us, and he LOVED lying out in the screened porch as well as roaming the beautifully landscaped, private yard. The location of the home is terrific....many stores & restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive. And Sundae School ice cream shop is only 2 minutes down the road!

    There are several great beaches within 15 minutes. We really enjoyed Nauset Beach which is the closest...the water & sand were so clean & wonderful. Chatham is only a 20 minute drive & the one day it rained we spent a few hours there shopping & visiting the seals at the pier. Our girls loved it! The basement was perfect for my two daughters & two nephews and the outside shower was a huge hit! It was particularly warm the week we stayed so the AC units were a wonderful option. Our only negatives about the home is it needs a little updating & the kitchen is on the smaller side, but well appointed. However, we would definitely rent this home again.     show more show less

    The house is adorable and the location is perfect. The feel is secluded, yet it is extremely convenient to town and Nauset beach. We did not bring children, but the house is perfect for a bunch of them.

    We have had our Briar Spring Cape Cod Cottage for over 20 years, it is a big part of my children's life. The treehouse, yard, fire pit, patio and basement bunkrooms were created for our family's enjoyment through the years. The location on Barley Neck makes getting to Meetinghouse Pond public dock for swimming and out to Nauset Beach any time of day or night a treat.

    Barley Neck Rd Cottage is a new adventure. We are painting and cleaning up the property with new furnishings.

    What is special about this property?
    Our Briar Spring house has a 3 season porch perfect for dining or reading a book. It is the hub of the summer time house. The yard has a great feel with flower gardens, lawn, sitting areas, picnic table, patio, fire pit, everything you would need for your vacation when not at the beach or on the water.

    Barley Neck Rd (BNR) Cottage has a beautiful south facing deck and screened in porch. Large eat in kitchen and great yard.

    What is special about your town?
    The unique feature of the location of our houses is the access to water, the outer beach (Nauset 1.5-2.5 miles away), Pleasant Bay (Meetinghouse Pond Public Dock down the street), Barley Neck Trail and just across town is the bayside beach (Skaket). Bring your canoes and/or kayaks for a day on the water. Bring your bikes for lovely rides around tree-lined East Orlean Village.
