We have been going to the Cape for as long as we can remember and have had the opportunity to stay at Patty and Bob's cottage for at least a half month each summer for the last decade!
It's a warm and comfortable cottage with all the modern amenities that you are used to. The property was designed to make you feel at home. The cottage also has a small deck equipped with a table, chairs and gas grill for your use!
The property sits in a private community which offers a small beach and dock within walking distance from the cottage.
You'll find that Patty and Bob are the most gracious hosts and have become our friends. They are very knowledgeable about the area and have a wealth of information about what to see and where to go while you are on your Cape vacation.

This little cottage is a wonderful place to stay. We've been coming here for many years.
It is a quiet and peaceful setting surrounded by trees and flower gardens. Patty and Bob are fabulous people and are very accommodating. Every convenience you need for a great stay, Patty has provided. It is close to downtown Orleans with shopping and great restaurants.
It's also not far from many of the things we like to do at the Cape, beaches, restaurants, mini golf etc. A perfect little place.
You will definitely enjoy your stay.

I think this was our 8th stay at the cottage. We feel so fortunate to have found a perfect oasis for our Cape adventures. The cottage is in a beautiful and peaceful setting, loaded with amenities and near fantastic beaches, great restaurants, shopping and historic sites. We had a great week at Patty and Bobs beautiful cottage in South Orléans. It was so comfortable and furnished to a high standard. For just the two of us it was perfect.

This lovely home is exactly as it appears in the pictures--meticulously cared for inside and beautifully landscaped outside. The owners have given a lot of thought to every detail, making this place stand out from the Christmas Tree Shop (RIP) crowd. The kitchen and closets are fully stocked with everything you could need. We especially enjoyed the deck (gets sun in the am), a lovely place to wake up with a cup of coffee. The location is serene, in a wooded development with no neighbors in sight. The house shares a driveway with the owners, who thoughtfully tread the line between available and scarce. We enjoyed our stay here immensely and you will too!

This was my first stay at Patty and Bob's cottage on Cape Cod. The cottage was absolutely beautiful inside and out. The rooms were all pristine, beautifully decorated and well stocked with many items a visitor would need. The bed was extremely comfortable. Outdoors, the cottage is surrounded by beautiful flower gardens. It was a pleasure to have my morning coffee out on the deck, listening to the soft breezes rustling the trees and hearing the ever present birdsong. Patty and Bob were wonderful hosts, always available if I needed anything. I look forward to returning to their cottage for another stay in the future.

We have just returned from this lovely cottage on the Cape. The cottage far exceeded our expectations. The owners have stocked it with many accessories and provided many extra items. The cottage is immaculate and extremely comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was dreamy. Each area is roomy and makes you feel very relaxed. There is a small deck with a table and chairs to sit out and gaze at the lovely extensive gardens. The property is thickly wooded which offers privacy and a quiet and serene environment. The location of the cottage is ideal to explore all that the Cape offers. The owners were readily available for questions you may have, but were very gracious in respecting your privacy.

Another year at Patty and Bob's Cape Cod cottage and another terrific vacation. The cottage is immaculate, lovely, well appointed and beautifully maintained. The hosts are approachable, responsive and just terrific people. The cottage is in a private community with its own little beach so you can avoid the crowds if you wish. The location is great - quiet but close to everything. Couldn't ask for anything more - which is why this was our 12th summer!

We have vacationed on the Cape for many years and this is one of the most peaceful and relaxing weeks we've had thanks to this lovely cottage and wonderful hosts. Owners are welcoming and attentive to guests needs. The cottage is well built and nicely decorated with all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. Situated in a quiet and private neighborhood that is nice for long walks around the community and to the private beach.

Everything about this cottage is perfect! It even smells so special! But Patty and Bob keep it so clean and bright. There are plenty of comforts without being overdone and unvacation like. The flowers in the gardens are very beautiful, particularly the everblooming Lavender. There is a peacefulness there at all times. Yes,it is a 'real gem'!

We had a wonderful two night stay and wish it could have been longer. The guesthouse is adorable, immaculate and fully equipped. The perennial gardens on the property are beautiful and the neighborhood is in a quiet lovely wooded setting. The private association beach on Pleasant Bay is a short distance away. We consider ourselves so lucky to have found this beautiful little cottage in Orleans for our late September long weekend stay. The cottage is adorable, spotless, well appointed, in a great location. Pretty much just perfect for our needs. We were searching at the last minute and Patty was so responsive to our inquiry and helpful with questions. We were able to pull together our long weekend get away in just a couple of days. We enjoyed everything about our stay here and we will definitely plan another visit to Orleans soon!

This was our 3rd visit to Patty's and Bob's little cottage. OMG! This place is still exactly as it was on our last visit 5 years ago! This place is immaculate and is EXACTLY the way it is in the photos! The cottage is equipped with everything you will need for a comfortable stay.

If you want peace and quiet on Cape Cod yet with easy accessibility to Orleans, Chatham, Brewster, Harwich, Dennis and Eastham and all the sites, beaches, restaurants and museums, then this is the place for you! There is so much to see and do at the Cape's "elbow". A day trip to Provincetown should also be on your itinerary.

My husband and I had a great stay with Patty and Bob in Orleans! The guest house was a good size, clean, cool and quiet inside. Parking is right next to the cottage. While the guest house is close to the main house it is not intrusive at all; Patty and Bob are happy to chat...or not based on their guests preference. I particularly enjoyed the perennial flower beds around the guesthouse and enjoying a cup of coffee on the side porch each morning. Don't forget to take the kayaks out to the bay!

This year marked the tenth time we returned to Patty and Bob's cottage in Orleans. As always, the cottage was spotless and the hosts welcoming and accommodating. The location is terrific - a small private beach which is terrific when the public beaches become crowded, and great restaurants and galleries nearby. We're already booked for next year!

We always enjoy our stay in this Orleans cottage because it has beautiful gardens, very clean and modern. The king bed is comfortable and has ample storage space in the bedroom.

The bed was great and just calling my name after a full day on the Cape. The location was everything we wanted. Easy access to great beaches, towns and some pretty darn good restaurants. My husband and I have the pleasure of staying in the beautiful guesthouse for a few days early last month. It is one of the nicest places in which we have every stayed on the cape. It is so hard to find something really comfortable and affordable for two people. The house was spotlessly clean and everything looked like new. Clearly much love and planning went into building this little house and maintaining the beautiful property. Patty and Bob were wonderful hosts and so welcoming. We will definitely be back!

We know the Cape. In fact, we know it better than some of the locals. With family members living there for many years, we refer to the Cape as our second home. Life presents changes and so we found ourselves in a new role: the renter. We have stayed in numerous rental properties over the years, mostly in mid and outer Cape towns. All were about what one would expect in a rental, viewing the property online and reading reviews from strangers. While we enjoyed our vacations, none of the rentals beckoned us back for a second stay.

That all changed with our recent getaway at this cottage. There is no property cleaner or neater than this guesthouse and no other landlords more gracious or accommodating than Patty and Bob. We love Cape Cod off season! We feel like we hit the Lottery finding this cottage and look forward to a return visit soon. It is a private, elegant, immaculate space with two of the friendliest, helpful owners. Privacy abounds with any assistance required a stone's throw away. It is very clean and everything about it feels fresh and new. So easy to get to the best beaches and restaurants on the Cape yet it is tucked away in a quiet, private neighborhood. Orleans has good restaurants, shopping and a lovely vibe. We like its location as we can go in either direction on the Cape to explore.

No matter when we visit, how chilly sunless etc visits to Patty and Bob's are always so relaxing and comfy. We just always visit when we can, no matter the season. Always a joy being back!

We needed a last minute two-night rental beginning on Christmas Day and reached out to Patty and Bob on Christmas Eve. Patty got right back to me and they couldn't have been more accommodating. They were more than willing to work with us and our schedule to alleviate the overflow at our house over the Christmas holiday. The guesthouse is in pristine and spotless condition with all the amenities one could ask for, and was a perfect getaway for the two of us. Very comfortable king-size bed, high speed internet, full kitchen with new appliances, nice private setting in South Orleans near Pleasant Bay. We really lucked out finding this rental and I have highly recommended it to my sister and her husband. Hopefully they can book a week's getaway sometime this summer. Thanks Patty & Bob. We keep coming back to this beautiful spot on the Cape. This place checks all the boxes and then some.

First and foremost, the hosts are the most delightful people, genuinely interested in making our visit the very best. The restaurant suggestions were spot on and resulted in the most delightful dinners out, all within 10/15 minutes drive and exceptional food/service. Patty has provided an assortment of incredibly organized info on entertainment, outings, restaurants, hiking/biking, etc.

This guesthouse is simply the best. We're not talking about the typical Cape 1950's camp, this place is brand new (well a few years old but the upkeep is impeccable). The layout is perfect, comfortable, super quiet with all the provisions for dining in and just chilling out either on the comfy furniture indoors or on the deck.

This mid Cape location is perfect for all activities. Minutes away from the Cape Cod Rail Trail, we biked up to Wellfleet for some awesome bakery snacks. Trail running from this guest house to some nearby woods surrounding local ponds; also minutes away is Nickerson State park offering plenty of hiking/running. An evening stroll through the quiet neighborhood, down to the private beach/cove is so relaxing and simply peaceful. Plenty of golf courses nearby as well.

All in all, when it comes to a weekend (or longer) getaway, it is a no brainer for us. This peaceful place with the best hosts "evah" is our home away from home. It is a little sad when the visit ends but always looking forward to the next time here.

We hadn't been to the Cape in two years, but truthfully, staying at Patty and Bob's idyllic guest house was so worth waiting for! We enjoyed a long Fall weekend surrounded by comfort in an extremely well appointed home. We had another amazing week at Patty & Bob's cottage on Boulder Lane in Orleans. This is our favorite area to visit on the Cape, so the cottage is in a very convenient location. Our favorite beach is Nauset Beach. As always, the cottage is very clean, very comfortable (especially the bed), and has everything you need--just bring some food and clothes.

This is a beautiful time to visit the Cape, and reconnect with Patty & Bob. They are the best hosts ever! A couple of restaurants we like are Brax Landing, the Land Ho, and Hole in One for breakfast. In Chatham we had a great lunch at the Wild Goose Tavern.

1) The Location: The cottage is located in an ideal part of Cape Cod. The town of Orleans / South Orleans, which is less than two hours from Boston, offers convenient and quick access to other parts of the Cape. You can easily take a fun day or half-day trip to the Outer, Lower, Mid or Upper Cape to experience all that this part of Massachusetts has to offer. Check out the shops in Chatham, see if you can spot a whale at Race Point, hop on a bike and ride the rail trail, take a hike at Nickerson State Park, look for birds at the Mass Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary in Wellfleet, board a Hyannis Harbor cruise, find your favorite ice cream in Harwich…And yet, because the cottage itself is situated in a quiet spot, nestled in a leafy, park-like private homeowners association, while you are not far from the major Cape thoroughfares, you feel tucked away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and busy roads. You don't hear the rumble of cars whizzing by, you are soothed by the sounds of nature!

2) The Beaches: It's your choice where you want to swim, sunbathe, or stroll, and again, you are close to many options. Like to brave the surf of the Atlantic? Enjoy watching the waves of Nantucket Sound? Want a calmer beach day on Cape Cod Bay? From the cottage you are a very short drive to any of these beaches. Right in Orleans you can spend your day spotting seals at Nauset, or walk at low tide to the ends of the earth at Skaket, or watch the sun set over Rock Harbor. Of course, you can also take the five-minute walk to the private beach right near the cottage and enjoy the solitude as you gaze on Pleasant Bay. You are never far from a beautiful beach when you're staying at Patty and Bob's cottage.

3) The Cottage and The Hosts: The cottage is the perfect size for two people… large enough to spread out, yet still cozy. And so clean! Every year that we've returned, the entire cottage is so sparkling fresh it seems like it is brand new! The cottage has everything you need, but not more than you need. The kitchen is well equipped, the bedroom closet is very conveniently appointed, and there are thoughtful extras supplied – puzzles, games, movies, books, picnic cooler. But, there is still plenty of empty storage space in drawers, shelves, closets, to stow away what's yours while you're visiting so that you can get unpacked and really feel at home. And, most important, Patty and Bob are excellent hosts. They are thoughtful, cheerful, helpful, courteous, welcoming and friendly yet always respectful of your privacy. We can't think of anything they could do to improve what a stay at their cottage is… they've thought of it all, already! Thanks to Patty and Bob, this cottage is truly a gem!

This was our 8th summer staying at Patty and Bob's cottage. As we have come to expect, it was spotless, stocked with everything we could possibly expect and in perfect condition. During a summer when the Cape was mobbed with visitors escaping the dreadful year we all experienced, coming to a vacation home with a private beach, a community where we could walk without dodging cars or tourists was sheer heaven.

Patty and Bob are incredibly helpful, accommodating and welcome feedback in the hopes of improving the experience for their guests. Wonderful people, wonderful cottage. We're already booked for year 9.

This was our first visit to the cottage, but hopefully, the first of many. The cottage is lovely and comfortable in all respects. The amenities fulfilled all of our needs. Our hosts, Patty and Bob, are wonderful-available if needed, and respectful of our privacy.

The location is perfect for us, near Chatham, so quite central on the Cape, allowing easy drives to any points, from P'Town to the island ferries. Can't wait for our next visit!

This cottage was once again a wonderful retreat. The cottage is beautiful, well kept, spotless and very comfortable. Patty and Bob are wonderful hosts. They are there if you need them, but allow you all of the privacy you want or need.

The location of the cottage is great, close to the National Seashore, and central on The Cape so not a far drive to anywhere else on the Cape you might want to visit. Wasn't our first stay at the cottage and won't be our last!

We had a wonderful stay at Patty and Bob's guesthouse. It was extremely clean and a great location for exploring the Cape. Patty and Bob are very sweet and thoughtful, and gave us several recommendations on what to do during our short stay. It was a perfect place to spend a few relaxing days away.

While during these difficult times and reluctance to leave home, my husband and I had a most pleasurable 4 night stay at the Platten Cottage. We stepped back into a comfort zone, bringing us much peace and healing. It took awhile!

Can't say enough about a very charming guesthouse and owners. The home is perfection and and the location with close proximity to Pleasant Bay and walking trails was great. We are fussy to satisfy but this was beyond our expectations.

Patty couldn't be more accommodating and very understanding about a last minute scheduling change. Without question we will be back and can't wait.

Our March 22-29 week in Patty & Bob's beautiful guesthouse was the perfect way to celebrate being vaccinated and feeling the freedom to travel to the nearby Cape. From our very arrival, we felt welcomed. We explored, hiked, Zoomed, marketed, found everything we needed both in the cottage and in the area. A day in P'town brought time on the beach and a first inside restaurant experience.

Patty & her family were respectful of our privacy yet available and so helpful when needed. We look forward to being there again and seeing the gardens and flowers.

We chose to stay Patty's guesthouse as a place where we could participate in a four-day virtual conference—we wanted a place with peace and quiet. The guesthouse worked beautifully for us. It was well appointed, very comfortable, and a quick drive into Orleans center. The lovely little beach a short walk away left us wishing it was summer, so we could enjoy the secluded strip of sand with its gorgeous view out to Pleasant Bay. Patty and Bob were incredibly friendly and helpful, as well. We've rented a lot of places on the Cape for over thirty years, and this was among the loveliest.

We have been thinking about a way to safely get away during the pandemic and found the most perfect place and location to finally do just that. Our hosts, Patty and Bob, have the most beautiful guest house located in a serene neighborhood with a short walk to a lovely private beach and plenty of wooded open space for quiet evening walks. Orleans town center and the Cape Cod Rail Trail are minutes away and provided us with the start of some great cycling on the Cape. We also enjoyed a fun round of golf at a beautiful golf course 10 minutes away. The guest house location mid Cape provides the National Seashore and short drives to many highlights of the Cape, short drives being key for us.

The house was immaculate and Patty is so meticulous with respect to every detail that we had never felt more comfortable being away from home. Big, comfortable king size bed, tiled bathroom, laundry, huge tv for streaming, binders of local info, awesome gas grill and a fully equipped kitchen to make those pandemic in-house gourmet meals caused us to reconsider our departure and possibly extend our stay.

To sum it up, we loved our stay, Patty and Bob are the best hosts evah and would not hesitate to visit again for our next travel to the Cape.

I have admired this cottage for years looking at rentals on the web site and always said I am going to stay there sometime when it is just my husband and I. I am happy to say that wish came true. We were so thrilled we got a chance to rent Patty and Bob's guesthouse to relax and get away from it all, it was perfection. The best comforts of home you can imagine. I can't wait to return in warmer weather to see Patty's beautiful flowers in bloom. Patty provided a binder with the most detailed information I have ever seen.

We stayed at Patty and Bob's guest house for 5 nights in early October and really enjoyed our stay. The house was immaculate and very well appointed, and we were very relaxed and comfortable there. We look forward to returning again in the future!

What a lovely gem!! We stayed here back in 2018 and simply adored the guesthouse then and equally as much now, if not more. We truly enjoyed the company of the homeowners, Patty and Bob - kind and great people all-around. They were so accommodating on all fronts, especially with the cleanliness and enhanced cleaning of the guesthouse ~ so very important during the pandemic. We felt so welcomed and comfortable with everything. We cannot stress enough how delightful and immaculate the guesthouse is.

Patty and Bob thought of everything. They are also always willing to share their knowledge-base of the Cape, which is so very helpful. We love that!! We look forward to going back in the very near future, i.e., perhaps over the Thanksgiving Day holiday break. We simply love this getaway spot and can't get enough. We were attracted to this cottage because of the pictures, showing a neat, clean and bright home. The cottage was even better in person! Everything was impeccably neat and organized. The photo of the exterior shows the plants when they were new. They have grown since planting and the exterior looks even nicer. The owner provided the best and most comprehensive information binder! We've been going to the Cape for over 20 years and her maps and info provided things to do that were totally new to us. Also the neighborhood was simply gorgeous. Too bad we didn't have enough time to explore the nearby ponds. We will definitely to back!

My partner and I have been to this lovely and charming cottage on three separate occasions. It is immaculate and well equipped with everything you need. The location is perfect and the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful.

The cottage has a very special uniqueness and a magical quality. Whenever we are there, we feel like it is heaven on earth. The hosts, Patty and Bob, are wonderful and make you feel so at home. And their dog, Ketzi, is so loving and friendly.

We have booked another week for next September and are looking forward to our return.

As always, we knew the guest house would be immaculate and we would feel completely safe. It is located in a lovely, quiet area in South Orleans, close to restaurants, beaches, sightseeing... Patty and Bob are very gracious hosts and are always available.

This was our 4th year in a row staying in this lovely guest house. It feels like home the moment we step in the door each and every time. Super convenient to beaches and shopping, Patty and Bob are a wealth of information regarding places to see, restaurants and general tips about Cape Cod. Hope to return again.

We have stayed in Patty and Bob's perfect cottage several times before and as always, it was wonderful! Prior to the pandemic, this cottage was probably the cleanest rental on the Cape... needless to say, it was clean and sanitized to the utmost this summer!

The cottage is comfortable and just the right size for two people... plenty of room to spread out yet still have that cozy, just-the-two-of-us feel of togetherness. And so well equipped... including a notebook with the instruction manuals to all the appliances.

We visited our favorite spots but chose to get take-out or cook for ourselves on the grill on the cottage porch. We discovered that it is actually relaxing to stay at home in the evenings!

We've been coming to the Orleans/South Orleans area for decades and know it well, but there is always something new to discover. This year we had a very pleasant hike at the Audubon Society in Wellfleet... a place we'd never visited before... beautiful birds, beautiful marshy seascape and a refreshing walk along the shoreline and in a pine forest. We frequented our favorite beaches - Nauset and Skaket - multiple times and also stopped in a Race Point and Marconi. The social distancing rules were in effect and everyone was following them, but no one's vacationing spirit seemed dampened.

Bob and Patty are superb hosts... friendly, helpful, welcoming. And their dog Ketzi is a delight... and so well trained!

We love this cottage and look forward to returning!

Husband and I went to Patty and Bob's Guesthouse to celebrate a Birthday and to relax!!! The Guesthouse was immaculate!! So warm and inviting!! Very nicely decorated with everything you need for your stay. It was so hot the week we went and having the central air was so nice after being at the hot beach!! The private beach was so relaxing!! Bring water shoes so you do not hurt your feet at low tide. Most of the time we had the beach to ourselves!!! The guesthouse has beautiful gardens that Patty keeps looking beautiful all summer. Great place to see birds and butterflies!!! The King size bed was very comfortable. We went during COVID so we cooked almost all our meals . Nice outdoor grill and everything you need to cook. Nice area to explore!!

Some of the towns we visited were Orleans, Chatham, Harwich, Brewster, Eastham. Saw beautiful beaches and lighthouses. Plenty of outdoor activities to do. Great area for walking and bikes. There are places to get food to go and nice garden stands to get fresh produce in Orleans. Although we missed going out to have a nice dinner due to COVID . We enjoyed our stay. We had a wonderful time at Patty & Bob's guesthouse. The spacious house is well decorated and everything is well thought out to a small detail. Everything inside and out was the highest quality and very comfortable. The kitchen had all the latest amenities and well appointed. A modern spacious shower with a terrific water pressure, very comfortable king size bed with a choice of comfortable pillows, outdoor deck with a Weber grill - everything was first class. But what made our experience special was the generosity and kindness of Patty and Bob. They were so attentive, friendly and accommodating. We felt not just like renters but rather as a part of their family.

Patty and Bob did such a nice job with their guesthouse! It has everything you can imagine in it for a comfortable stay—they've literally thought of everything. From super lush sheets to top of the line utensils to a grill and adorable deck, we had such a relaxing time using their spot. They're available at any time to assist with any of your needs which was also so appreciated. 10/10 recommend.
