Description

We are offering a last minute discount for June 16-23 for $2,000. Perfect for large groups, Nauset Beach House is a large, beautiful, comfortable home PLUS a connected cottage. Amenities include ping pong and pool tables and loads of toys- plus many kitchen and entertainment amenities that please adults.
Located in the very desirable area of Nauset Heights, East Orleans, just 2 lots back from the Priscilla Landing/Nauset Inlet and a short walk over the dunes to famous Nauset Beach. Our location is ideal for people who have beach, boating, fishing, surfing, bird watching and athletic interests. The boat launching area into thousands of acres of the Nauset harbor is about a 2 minute walk from the property.

Nauset Beach House is spacious and VERY well equipped, offering 4-5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths (plus a great outdoor shower)in the main house - along with a 2nd kitchen and a 2nd living room in the attached, remodeled cottage.

We take pride in the fact that Nauset Beach House is exceptionally well equipped! There are 2 kitchens! Between them we offer a dual fuel Jenn Air range, quiet Bosch dishwasher, 2 refrigerators, 2 microwaves, 2 blenders, 2 coffee makers, coffee grinders, 2 toasters and toaster ovens, Cusinart food processor, lobster & pasta pots, waffle iron, griddles, and many pots, pans, serving dishes, utensils, etc. And a Weber gas BBQ. Everything needed to feed a group....

New in summer 2017, we have a 55'' Sony LED TV, loveseat, commercial clothes dryer, 3 burner Weber BBQ, beautiful dishware and glasses, toaster oven, French press, and quality Heckel knife set.

The cottage living room/dining room is also often used as a 5th bedroom as it has a comfy daybed and a new high quality memory foam queen size sofa bed. The 2nd kitchen area offers an extra refrigerator, beautiful granite seating area, another micro, coffee maker, popcorn maker, slow cooker, etc. The cottage also has a pretty bedroom with 2 twins beds, a full bath and garden views.

The cottage has its own outside entrance and is connected by French doors to the main house. These can be closed for quiet and privacy. This is perfect for grandparents or others who want to be with the group but enjoy some space, too. (The main house and the cottage are always rented to the same group.)

Inside the main large house, there is a large 880 sq ft open concept room with 28 windows. There is a modern kitchen with a granite island to seat 5, a big dining table for 8-10 and a large living room with 2 new Sunbrella sofas, a loveseat, comfy chairs, 55'' LED HDTV, DvD player, Comcast cable, WIFI, MANY toys and games, etc.

Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms - the two beautiful queen bedrooms both have water views, one with private bath, the other with a walk-out water view deck. From that deck there is a spiral staircase to the observation deck with water views & often gorgeous sunsets over the inlet. There is also a cute, nautically themed 3rd bedroom that sleeps 3, with bunk beds and a single twin. There are 2 Pack N Plays for your use as well. **(See below for list of children's items.)

Both upstairs baths are spacious with full tub/showers and double Corian sinks, custom cabinetry, etc.

In the walkout basement, there are both ping pong and pool tables, sofas for hanging out and watching the games, and lots of beach toys, boogie boards, skim boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, beach umbrellas, strollers, and a fun red wagon to haul stuff in. This is also where the washer, dryer, iron and ironing board are.

Total inside square footage is 3,800. Outside of the house are 610 sq. ft of 4 big decks, furnished with multiple tables and chairs, lounges, etc. With all this space, there is plenty of room for folks to move around and spread out.

The house is built of natural woods and is low allergy/non toxic, as are our cleaning products. To honor our guests who have allergies, no smoking or pets are allowed. Our flower gardens and lawns are all organic and chemical free. For outside play on our nice flat lawn, we offer a croquet set and a large bin of various balls, racquets, frisbees, etc. As well as 2 lounges and a great hammock for relaxing.....

Please contact us, the owners, for more information, photos, contract details, and future availability. See our new website www.nausetbeachhouse.com for many more photos, details, etc.

Because this is such a great house for entertaining, we have a limit of up to 12 guests to maintain its fine condition. We do not rent for graduation, weddings, big reunions or other parties, nor to underage individuals.

The house is professionally cleaned from 10-3pm during each Sat. changeover. We provide a beautiful vase of flowers from our gardens upon check in.

As we live nearby, we will check you in personally and are always available to help with any of your questions or concerns. In the meantime, we are happy to email you lots more photos.

As is customary on the Cape, we do not provide sheets or towels, but do offer plenty of pillows and blankets. If you wish to have linens provided, the cost is $15 per person.

If you have a good size family or group and are serious about renting Nauset beach House, it is wise to act early to avoid disappointment.

The shoulder season of May/June and Sept/Oct are much less expensive but equally nice as there are fewer crowds but still lots to do and often wonderful weather. The 3rd weekend in Sept. offers the many free, fun events in Orleans called ''Celebrate Our Waters''. October has the wonderful Orleans Clam BBQ and the Wellfleet Oysterfest.

For the last 8 years, we have been completely booked from Memorial weekend thru October. . (Late Oct. thru mid May the house is rented long term to winter residents.)

AMENITIES-

Another shelf has over 350 DVDs many of them HD. Plus a 55'' HD TV with Comcast cable in the main living room. There are numerous games, puzzles, a set of blocks, cars and trucks, many, many toys, Barbies and her clothes, stuffed animals, etc. Like other items in the house and kitchen, many of the toys are replaced annually as they show dirt or wear.

** For children's use we have: 2 Pack N Plays, 2 high chairs, 2 booster seats, diaper pail, waterproof pads for beds, 2 baby gates, loads of toys and games both inside and out, child size boogie boards, sand and beach toys, child size beach chairs, floaties and a few water vests, etc. You are responsible for their safe usage.
With all these items provided, you do not have to pack and bring so many items yourself!

For the last 8 years we have successfully used HomeAway but like many, we are now disappointed with their changes and fees so have just come here to WeNeedaVacation.com. The 5 reviews here are a small selection of the 34 5-star***** reviews still posted on HomeAway which you can read to understand how much our guests love their stay at our property and why they love to return...

Amazing

My friends (5 all together) have rented this amazing home for seven years straight. Why? Because it's the perfect vacation home, it FEELS like home, has all the amenities, gourmet kitchen, beautifully furnished, elegant but comfortable, classy but casual. The grounds are landscaped with beautiful flowers, shrubbery and lush grass. The birds sing and visit all day. The beach is close, the view on the top deck is stunning especially when the sun sets. If it's not a beach day, there are books to read, puzzles, and games to play. You will never be bored. Want shade? Relax on a lounge on the covered porch. Want sun? Then sit on the deck and watch the birds enjoy the bird bath. Richard and Ann are the prefect neighbors. They greet you with a warm smile and are always happy to offer interesting ideas of what's happening around town. We WILL be back. show more show less

Perfect choice

We hadn't seen our East Coast family in over 5 years so rented the Nauset house for a reunion. It was perfect for us - the children ran about the yard playing games and looking for bunnies. The rooms were large and bright, equipped with everything you could possibly need. Comfortable and meticulously clean. Beautiful wood throughout. This outdid our expectations.

From the rooftop deck, you could see the sunrise and sunset over the water. Pretty amazing.

I would highly recommend this home - we built some wonderful family memories there.

Hi Susan, good to hear from you. So glad to hear that your family had such a good time! The little ones were so adorable playing all the ball games in the yard. It makes us happy to create a vacation rental home so beautiful and well equipped that friends & families can easily relax and enjoy making wonderful lifetime memories together....

Before buying this property and remodeling it in 2010, we had Lagoonhouse in Hawaii, which we developed into the #1 vacation rental in the state. We love what we do!

Looking forward to when our paths may cross again.
Best always,
Ann and Richard

Beyond excellent!!!

We have only superlatives for Nauset Beach House. There was a total of 12 in our party, including 4 grandchildren 4 years and under. Our week lucked out with mostly sunny, high 60's weather. However, even rainy days would have been fun at this beach house. The excellent kitchen pleased the gourmands among us. There were tons of toys, baby/toddler paraphernalia, DVDs, books, beach paraphernalia.

Nauset Heights has a lovely, gentle beach and inlet.....a short walk from house to beach. There was also easy neighborhood access to the Nauset Beach side. One section of the house is a parental/in-law suite which Is a complete unit in itself. At times, my husband and I loved being away from all the 'noise.' I have mobility issues. However, our bedroom and full bath were located on the first floor which helped me immensely. The owners take such pride in this rental.....you can see it and you can feel it. show more show less

Thanks Debbie, et al,
It was wonderful hosting your great family! Glad everyone had a good time and the well equipped kitchen and all the toys were appreciated. Yes, fall can be a fantastic time of year, this first week of October has been in the mid 70's! The flower gardens are still beautiful... The clothes left behind have been mailed back... Looking forward to seeing you all next year! Best always, Richard & Ann

We spent a wonderful week here with friends celebrating our wedding anniversary. The house fit 8 of us with plenty of room. The living spaces were amazing, whether it was in the family/dining room or the large deck or basement. We could not have asked for one more amenity as the house had everything a family could want or need. It is so close to the water and the views were spectacular at sunset. Great spot to visit all the other places on the Cape. Richard and Ann could not have been more helpful and when we return to the Cape, I know where we will be staying! show more show less

This was our 2nd summer week at this beautiful home. The sprawling layout easily and privately accommodates our family of 12. The private yard is wonderful for family dinners and play for the grandkids. The home is open, clean and cozy. The easy access to the bay and ocean is an added plus. Our hosts are helpful and very welcoming. A perfect place!

We just competed our third year staying at Ann and Richard's property. It is well appointed, Ann and Richard do a tremendous job thinking of everything you may need and are welcoming hosts. From infants to seniors, there is something for every age: toys, music, videos, games, area information, books, a game room and lots of the necessary beach essentials: chairs, boards, umbrellas, toys and coolers. We have been so pleased with the quality of the home, it is clean and very comfortable. Our family of 10 ranges from toddlers to seniors. The property around the Home and cottage provide a beautiful sanctuary to rest and relax at anytime of the day. The gardens are beautiful and serene and the bird watching is plentiful. It is located only a few miles from town to provide ample shopping possibilities. show more show less

Ann and Richard have a beautiful home with attention to every detail. The location close to the beach (walking distance to a small cove and private access to Nauset Beach). The house is impeccably clean and thought is behind every aspect of the house from linens to the outdoor Weber gas grill, to the very large flat screen TV, to pots and pans and those gourmet Henckel knives. There are also plenty of books and DVDs, as well as a ping-pong table, beach chairs and games. Everything is top quality and the house has plenty of room for a large group and beautiful views from the rooftop deck. My friends have returned for 6 years’ of visits spent enjoying a girls’ weekend and we look forward to returning next year as well. The owners are always around when needed, but allow guests privacy during their stay. This a perfect vacation home! show more show less

We, Richard and Ann have owned vacation rentals for many years. Richard was born in Mass. and spent his summers on Cape Cod. He owned 2 homes in Eastham and also built a beautiful 3 story home in Wellfleet. Ann is from Hawaii. Before we purchased this property at Nauset Beach, we developed LagoonHouse in Hawaii which became the #1 most popular vacation rental in Hawaii. We work hard and take great pride in making our Nauset Beach House very fun, comfortable and filled with amenities of all types, to satisfy all ages. Our full calendar every year and 3 dozen 5 star***** reviews attest to that!

What is special about this property?
First is the great location near Nauset Beach and the Inlet. At the House, we offer unique amenities for family fun such a pool table, Ping Pong table, hundreds of toys, and 350 Dvd's, croquet set and many outdoor toys. Also very unusual is having a 2nd kitchen. With 2 refrigerators, extra cabinets, etc there is lots of storage and all kinds of appliances and serving pieces so feeding and entertaining a large group works very smoothly. With 4 decks, there is lots of space to spread out and sleeping 12 people is easy.

Also, this prestigious area of Nauset Heights was developed over 100 yrs ago and many of those same families still summer in their original cottages. Our location is ideal for people who have beach, boating, fishing, surfing, bird watching and athletic interests. The boat launching area into thousands of acres of the Nauset Harbor and marsh system is only about 200 feet from the end of the driveway. The calm water is always a favorite place for kayakers and standup paddle boarders, which can be rented by the half or full day in Orleans.

Feel free to bring or rent small boats/kayaks for easy launching & our private lot has ample parking. This unique property also offers access to our Nauset Heights Assoc private staircase down to Nauset Beach. The house is just over a mile away from the public parking area of the famous Nauset Beach.

The majestic waves of the open ocean at Nauset Beach are only a 15 min. walk over the dune from the boat launching area.

What is special about your town?
You can walk along the inlet shore and cross the dunes or just up the street, as our exceptional neighborhood of Nauset Heights has its own set of stairs leading down to a beautiful and uncrowded section of north Nauset Beach. From there, you can see the beautiful sunrise and full moon rise as well. It is VERY rare to stay in a place where you walk a couple of minutes and watch both a beautiful sunrise and also sunset over the water....

And in the quiet of the evenings, enjoy the relaxing sound of ocean waves lulling you to sleep.....

For activities away from the beach, downtown Orleans is a main shopping area, with many large and small stores.
