Description

Perfect for groups of 6-12, Nauset Beach House is a large, beautiful, comfortable home PLUS a connected cottage. Amenities include ping pong and pool tables and loads of toys - plus many kitchen and entertainment amenities that please adults.

Located in the very desirable area of Nauset Heights, East Orleans, just 2 lots back from the Priscilla Landing/Nauset Inlet and a short walk over the dunes to famous Nauset Beach. Our location is ideal for people who have beach, boating, fishing, surfing, bird watching and athletic interests. The boat launching area into thousands of acres of the Nauset harbor is about a 2 minute walk from the property.

Nauset Beach House is spacious with many amenities. It has 4-5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths (plus a great outdoor shower) in the main house - along with a 2nd kitchen and a 2nd living room in the attached, remodeled cottage.

We take pride in the fact that Nauset Beach House is exceptionally well equipped! There are 2 kitchens! Between them we offer a dual fuel JennAir range, quiet Bosch dishwasher, 2 refrigerators, 2 microwaves, 2 blenders, 2 coffee makers, coffee grinder, toasters and toaster ovens, lobster & pasta pots, waffle iron, griddles, and many pots, pans, serving dishes, utensils, etc. And a Weber gas BBQ. Everything needed to feed a group.

Recent additions are a 55'' Sony LED TV, loveseat, commercial washer & clothes dryer, 3 burner Weber Gas BBQ, beautiful dishware and glasses, toaster oven, French press, and quality Heckel knife set.

The remodeled cottage living room/dining room is also often used as a 5th bedroom as it has a comfy daybed and a new high quality memory foam queen size sofa bed. The 2nd kitchen area offers an extra refrigerator, beautiful granite seating area, another micro, coffee maker, popcorn maker, slow cooker, etc. The cottage also has a pretty bedroom with 2 twins beds, a full bath and garden views.

The cottage has its own outside entrance and is connected by French doors to the main house. These can be closed for quiet and privacy. This is perfect for grandparents or others who want to be with the group but enjoy some space, too. (The main house and the cottage are always rented to the same group.)

Inside the main large house, there is a large 880 sq ft open concept room with 28 windows. There is a modern kitchen with a granite island to seat 5, a big dining table for 8-10 and a large living room with 2 new Sunbrella sofas, a loveseat, comfy chairs, 55'' LED HDTV, DvD player, Comcast cable, WIFI, MANY toys and games, etc.

Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms - the two beautiful queen bedrooms both have water views, one with private bath, the other with a walk-out water view deck. From that deck there is a spiral staircase to the observation deck with water views & often gorgeous sunsets over the inlet. There is also a cute, nautically themed 3rd bedroom that sleeps 3, with bunk beds and a single twin. There are 2 Pack N Plays for your use as well. **(See below for list of children's items.)

Both upstairs baths are spacious with full tub/showers and double Corian sinks, custom cabinetry, etc.

In the walkout basement, there are both ping pong and pool tables, sofas for hanging out and watching the games, and lots of beach toys, boogie boards, skim boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, beach umbrellas, strollers, and a fun red wagon to haul stuff in. This is also where the washer, dryer, iron and ironing board are.

Total inside square footage is 3,800. Outside of the house are 610 sq. ft of 4 big decks, furnished with multiple tables and chairs, lounges, etc. With all this space, there is plenty of room for folks to move around and spread out.

The house is built of natural woods and is low allergy/non toxic, as are our cleaning products. To honor our guests who have allergies, no smoking or pets are allowed. Our flower gardens and lawns are all organic and chemical free. For outside play on our nice flat lawn, we offer a croquet set and a large bin of various balls, racquets, frisbees, etc. As well as 2 lounges and a great hammock for relaxing.....

Please contact us, the owners, for more information, photos, contract details, and future availability.

Because this is such a great house for entertaining, we have a limit of 12-14 guests to maintain its fine condition.

As we live nearby, we will check you in personally and are always available to help with any of your questions or concerns. In the meantime, we are happy to email you lots more photos.

The shoulder season of May/June and Sept/Oct are much less expensive but equally nice as there are fewer crowds but still lots to do and often wonderful weather. The 3rd weekend in Sept. offers the many free, fun events in Orleans called ''Celebrate Our Waters''. October has the wonderful Orleans Clam BBQ and the Wellfleet Oysterfest.

AMENITIES-
For those with other tastes in amusement, we have an extensive library of humor books -Dilbert, Calvin and Hobbs, Doonsbury, Garfield, New Yorker, etc. There is also a large section of non- fiction books, cookbooks, Cape Cod guidebooks, top fiction and a wonderful children's book collection and some quaint vintage such as the Nancy Drew series. Another shelf has over 450 DVDs many of them HD. Plus a 55'' HD TV with Comcast cable in the main living room. There are numerous games, puzzles, a set of blocks, cars and trucks, many, many toys, Barbies and her clothes, stuffed animals, etc. Like other items in the house and kitchen, many of the toys are replaced annually as they show dirt or wear.
** For children's use we have: 2 Pack N Plays, 2 high chairs, 2 booster seats, diaper pail, waterproof pads for beds, 1 baby gate, loads of toys and games both inside and out, child size boogie boards, sand and beach toys, child size beach chairs, floaties and a few water vests, etc. You are responsible for their safe usage.
With all these items provided, you do not have to pack and bring so many items yourself!

Location, Character and Amenities Abound

This house was exceptional. All of the amenities made it a wonderful end of summer early fall experience. The house was cozy, the proximity to beaches and fishing were great, views were spectacular and all mod cons that one could wish for were available. I look forward to returning again.

Nauset Nugget

This house is a gem, a true golden nugget! This was our fourth year renting this house, and it keeps getting better! We love the location and everything about the house. There are no improvements that we could recommend and we only wish we could stay longer. It always amazes us when the two weeks have elapsed and it's time to go home. Thank you for sharing your wonderful get-away with us!

We didn't want to leave!

We just spent an amazing week at this very special house. What a perfect vacation! The location is wonderful. Quiet neighborhood with Priscilla landing at the end of the street - not even 2 minutes. From here you can launch kayaks, SUPs, canoes (all available for rent with free delivery from Goose Hummock) and explore the quiet inlet. If you keep walking around you reach the inlet beach, which is quiet, beautiful, and great for swimming with warm water and no waves. Our favorite though was of course the breathtaking Nauset Beach. You can access Nauset for a big ocean beach day by either walking around the inlet or by heading through the neighborhood and down the Nauset Heights association stairs. Both routes take about 10 minutes when walking with young kids - less without! The part of Nauset these paths take you to is far from the more crowded areas near the main entrance. You really have room to spread out. We loved heading down at the end of the day to enjoy cocktails when you pretty much have the beach to yourself.

The house itself is the greatest beach house! It just has so much character - the pictures really don't do it justice. We were 4 adults and 6 kids and the house is so big we had a ton of space and privacy. Kids loved the attached cottage. There was an incredible amount of cool old books, DVDs, board games, puzzles - you have plenty to keep you occupied if you get a rainy day! Window seat was a favorite with the kids for card games and reading. Big backyard with tons of yard games. Every beach accessory you can imagine. Ping pong and pool downstairs. Awesome back deck where you can easily sit 10-12 people for dinner. Extremely cool crow's nest for panoramic views of the inlet and beach during the day and stargazing at night. Cute outdoor shower to refresh and hammock to collapse in at the end of a busy day. I could go on and on! Ken was lovely and quick to respond. Highly, highly recommended!

Great Orleans Beach House

We stayed at this house at the end of July with three small children and six adults. The house was spacious and well-appointed. Tons of toys and books for the kids and a great lawn for the days when we didn't go to the beach. We thankfully didn't have a rainy day, but would have had plenty to do if we had with the ping pong table and pool downstairs

Access to the boat launch at Priscilla landing was a couple hundred yards away and the main Nauset beach was a short walk (ten minutes)

Ken was great to interact with and quick to respond with any questions that we had. We would definitely return for future summer trips

Hi everyone - from Ken and Carol Rubin, the proud new owners of Nauset Beach House in Nauset Heights. We are delighted to have purchased this property from Richard and Ann, who have been renting the property for many years with outstanding guest reviews. They won't appear here, however, since when a property changes hands, WeNeedaVacation.com starts the guest reviews anew.

Carol is a successful artist (www.carolrubin.com) and after a long career developing water and wastewater projects around the world, Ken is now focused on projects in the US where he helps municipal utilities capture the value in their water and wastewater operations by reusing water, turning wastewater into fertilizer, and applying smart technologies to operations. We've managed other vacation rental properties of our own on the Jersey Shore and in Washington DC, and we're looking forward to meeting new friends on the Cape.

What is special about this property?
Nauset Beach House is perched above Mill Pond and Nauset Beach, with spectacular views from the second and third floor decks. We're just steps from the water and beaches. We love this place -- from the smell of the sea to the sound of crashing waves to the red-orange-yellow sunsets. We hope you will, too!

What is special about your town?
Orleans has everything you'll need for a special vacation -- restaurants, grocery stores, gourmet shops, summer baseball, theater, beaches, freshwater ponds, bike paths, galleries, and on and on. The beaches are the best on the Cape (no bias here!). Everything is accessible. Crowds are rarely a problem in Orleans.
