We first rented in Sept. 2013 and have since returned 7 times. Our love of the Lower Cape goes way back to college days. We're now in our 80s and still enjoy kayaking in every possible direction on beautiful Pleasant Bay, cycling on Cape Cod Rails to Trail or just into town, driving to Wellfleet to hike the Great Island Trail or eat delicious local oysters, and visiting the Monomoy National Wildlife Refure in Chatham. The owners of the cottage live adjacent. They keep the cottage in immaculate condition and are always attentive to any concerns/questions. It's the perfect place to enjoy the Lower Cape in peace and quiet.

We enjoyed a fantastic week in this classy little gem of a cottage. We liked that it was private yet located close to all the best places to go to. Such as Nauset beach, great restaurants and centrally located to other interest points on the Cape such as Wellfleet and Chatham. What I appreciated the most about this space was the attention to detail. The interior was impressively clean and organized. We loved being able to sit on the deck after a day exploring, drinking a cocktail listening to a symphony of coastal sounds. The trees have covered up the view of the bay from the deck but there are views of the water on the way in to the cottage. We love the Cape and this upscale cottage is a great place to stay.

This was our 3rd time back to Molly's lovely cottage. It continues to be a perfect place for our Cape Cod vacation - the best place we have rented there in over 30 years of vacationing on the Cape. It is conveniently located to our favorite places in Orleans - Nauset beach, Skaket beach, Rock Harbor for sunsets and Crystal lake for a refreshing and peaceful swim at the end of the day. It is also an easy drive to Wellfleet and Chatham. The cottage is very clean and nicely decorated with plenty of windows and high ceilings. We appreciate both the big deck out back for a relaxing drink in a peaceful and private setting and the bedroom deck for coffee and reading in the morning. Molly makes sure everything is taken care of and we look forward to returning.

On my second visit to this stunning cottage, I was once again struck by the beauty of the setting. It is a superbly restful location, with a beautiful wrap-around deck, the songs of many birds, views of the water, and the sound of nearby boats. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable, in a very secluded setting, with Orleans Center restaurants and shops only a few minutes away. Everything is nicely set up to permit perfect privacy. This is not your average Cape Cod vacation rental; rather, it is obvious that the comfort and enjoyment of the tenants matters a great deal to the owners. I hope to be back once again next year.

Beautiful, private cottage on Pleasant Bay. Close to beaches, National Seashore, restaurants, and stores. Kayak/ canoe launch at end of property. Updated kitchen and bath. Comfortable living area and bedroom. Ceiling fans and split air conditioning for warmer days. Water views through the trees from deck. Helpful, friendly owners. We hope to return next year.

What a Gem! This tidy little cottage is perfect for enjoying Cape Cod. Well equipped and neat as a pin. Couldn't ask for anything nicer.

This was our second trip to Molly's cottage. It is perfect for the 2 of us. The cottage is very clean, bright and airy. We enjoyed breakfast on the deck every morning. We took advantage of Crystal Lake after every trip to the beach for a quick refreshing swim. We were convenient to all our favorite beaches, restaurants and shops. We would highly recommend Molly's place and look forward to coming back next year.

This stunning little house, tucked away down a dirt road, is well-equipped, beautifully situated, very comfortable and very private. I have been visiting Cape Cod for many years, and it is the most unique and restful place I have ever rented. Everything is provided for a comfortable stay, and Molly is a delightfully hands-off but very responsive host. Although I have a lot of favorite shops, beaches and other attractions in the area that I like to visit each year, I skipped some of them because I didn't want to leave this magnificent spot! I hope to return, as many other guests have done.

I just got back from a week at this lovely Cottage. It is in a lovely spot. I have camped for years when my husband was alive so driving on the dirt roads did not bother me at all. Brought back lots of wonderful memories. The cottage is just like the photos of it.

So happy we found this cottage, the prior reviews do not lie. Just what we were looking for, low key relaxing beach vacation, This cottage has everything you need immaculate and private. Love the wrap around deck and just sitting outside enjoying an evening cocktail. Molly even came over to introduce herself and make sure everything was good. If i must say i think we had the best weather week anyone could ask for! We hope to be back! Rock harbor grill had the best pizza and cant forget to grab a breakfast sandwich from Nauset farms on the way to the beach.

This is our 9th year staying at this peaceful cottage. This cottage is perfectly located, close to beaches, restaurants and the Town of Orleans. And if you like baseball, it's the home town of the Orleans Firebirds (an elite league for college players). The cottage had everything you need for a quiet, relaxing vacation.
Plus the owners are terrific! We look forward to our week in this perfect cottage on the Cape.

We feel lucky to have found this cottage about 10 years ago. And now we've just finished our lucky 7th stay. Our honeymoon in 1965 was spent in Orleans and we've been returning to this area ever since for vacations. The cottage is ideally situated for our active lifestyle. Our kayaks are kept just 1 minute walk away on the banks of the Namequoit River near its entry into Little Pleasant bay. We can paddle in all compass directions, depending on wind and tide and our mood for adventure. We never tire of the natural beauty of the Bay nor the views of stately Cape homes nestled among the trees and hills. Pleasant Bay is a kayaker's paradise. There are NO jet skis and few other motor craft just mostly beautful Cat class sail boats. Our bikes are kept comfy and dry in the garage below the house for cycling to town and from there onto the Cape Cod Rails to Trail. We can take walks on quiet dirt roads. And we enjoy morning sun on the deck sipping strong coffee.

Kevin and Molly are very attentive to their guests. Over the years they've made upgrades to the kitchen appliances and added AC, although we've not needed it.

The cottage on Mayflower point was spotless, comfortable and very spacious. We especially loved the deck where we spent hours listening to the birds, the breeze in the pines and just relaxing. The kitchen is good size and well furnished with all you need to cook a meal. The grill worked better than ours at home.

We love Orleans and this cottage was very private and peaceful.
Probably an SUV would be better than our sedan on the unpaved roads.

After seven years, this was my second stay at this cottage. I call it "My Happy Place". The cottage is immaculate and the surroundings are perfect for a very restful vacation.

The two outside decks, overlooking a beautifully landscaped lawn, made eating and reading outside very enjoyable.

The location is close to ocean and lake beaches, fine restaurants and shopping If there happens to be a rainy day.

In one word this was a perfect cottage for us to stay in. The cottage is roomy, bright and exceptionally clean. We really liked Molly's beach themed décor. Enjoy breakfast or maybe an afternoon drink on the deck.

Close to everything we liked to do, swim in Crystal Lake, Nauset and Skaket Beaches as well as the town of Orleans. Convenient to Chatham and Wellfleet, also.

This is a truly lovely place for 1-2 people who are looking for a peaceful, quiet, away-from-it-all setting, yet only a few miles from downtown Orleans. The photos on this web site are totally legit -- a clean, airy, light-filled cottage that will feel like a respite from it all. The owners are thoughtful and welcoming, and the cottage is very well-equipped. (Check the hall closet if you need a blender!)

Bring kayaks if you can; otherwise there is nearby swimming, biking, and trails for walking.

Just discovered: daily morning yoga in Chatham on the beach ($20), weather permitting. Ditto for Orleans, I guess!

After 2 years it was wonderful to be back to our favorite cottage. It was what we needed...the peacefulness of Mayflower Pt...the birds singing..seeing the water..the quietness..all the things we love about this cottage.

Our hosts are the best...the cottage perfect..This is why we love this place..super clean..everything you need to cook in. Or minutes to restaurants...the beach..or strolling through Orleans...a perfect getaway!

We have been visiting the Cape for over 50 years and especially the Orleans area. Mayflower point is a hidden gem and this studio cottage is perfect for two, young or old. Bring a kayak cause there is easy access to water. We saw wild turkey and even a coyote.

There are so many wonderful things to do in Orleans.

This is our second stay at this cottage on Mayflower Point. We were here for two weeks last August and are just finishing another two week August stay. We really know this property! This is a guest house on a lovely property right on the water. The house and grounds are immaculate and kept to a very high standard. Look at the location—on the water—easy kayak access right next door. Maybe ten minutes from Nauset Beach and ten minutes from charming downtown Orleans, BUT incredible peace and quiet. Mayflower Point is a private point of land—all the properties have large parcels of land and privacy. This is a quintessential Cape Cod retreat.

If you are looking for a clean, quiet, peaceful place surrounded by nature, this is it. Bring your kayaks. You can launch from the back yard into the Namequoit River and explore Little Pleasant Bay, Arey's Pond, Sampson and Hog Islands, the Pochet Inlet, Meeting House Pond and much, much more. Perfect for a couple, you'll have everything you need.

We spent a week from July 27th to August 3rd. Everything was just like we saw on the site. The cottage is very functional, with nice quality equipment and well thought out. The cottage is surrounded by the nature and very peaceful. It's very near from everything, the beaches are close and we could swim in fresh water just by the cottage.

2019 was my 4th time staying at this property. Obviously, I've tremendously enjoyed each visit. It's quiet, very comfortable and off the beaten path, but just a short ride to town and beaches. The very quiet bay behind the house - visible from the deck - is ideal if you bring a kayak/canoe. I finally met the owners this year - they live nearby - and they couldn't be nicer. Enjoy!

This was our fifth year staying at our favorite cottage on the Cape. Although this year Mother Nature did not cooperate we still had a very relaxing stay at this wonderful cottage on Mayflower Pointe. We were able to visit our favorite places between the raindrops and then come back "home" to relax and either bring back dinner or go out to our favorite haunts in Orleans. I can't say enough about this cozy cottage and the welcoming owners. Molly always stops by for a chat and to make sure everything is fine. We love it here and over the years we have stayed at a few homespun the Cape but this cottage is our favorite will certainly come back.

The cottage has everything you need including a wonderful deck with a gorgeous view and we always take a quiet walk around the neighborhood. If you are looking for a perfect cottage for two to enjoy the Cape...look no further..this is it!

Our second stay at this beautiful cottage in Orleans. Just the perfect size for a couple. You wouldn’t want it any bigger. Queen bed very comfortable with a private deck right off the bedroom.. Large open concept kitchen has everything you need if you decide to dine in. The property is immaculate and exactly as the listing states.The owners have thought of everything to make your vacation enjoyable and comfortable.

It is quiet & peaceful as you away from downtown Orleans and any road traffic as the location is at the end of a country lane. The cottage is only 2 miles to town which we easily walked a couple of times. We have never experienced a cottage SO quiet on the Cape.

Orleans is perfectly located for exploring the entire Cape.

We've rented Molly's cottage for two weeks each of five summers. It's been the perfect place for us. Most important is to be able to walk just 200 ft to our kayaks that we keep nestled on the bank of the peaceful Namequoit River near where it joins Little Pleasant Bay. We paddle whatever distance and direction we feel like, exploring and revisiting many destinations. We also enjoy cycling into Orleans and then on to destinations along the Cape Cod Rails to Trails or just walking along nearby quiet dirt roads. And nothing compares to sitting on the back deck sipping coffee each morning as the sun begins to warm us. It's the true definition of a "hideaway"!

We are finishing up a 2 week stay at this guest cottage. The house and location have exceeded our expectations in every way! The location in the private Mayflower Point area is incredibly quiet and picturesque. The private dirt roads are a pleasure to walk. Residents have made a concerted effort to preserve the natural landscape. Much to our surprise, we have seen turkey and deer on the property. And we have heard the Great Horned Owl at night. While kayaking we have seen an Osprey, seals and a pair of swans.

The cottage is immaculate. The owner has done everything imaginable to assure that renters will be comfortable. The decor is charming. Ceilings are high and there are lots of windows and sliders - all contributing to the bright, airy ambiance of the cottage. We are already chatting about our next visit!

Exceptionally quiet, clean and comfortable cottage with 2 deck areas and outdoor gas grill. Layout is great; lots of window light. A perfect fit for two. Owner is pleasant and responsive. Orleans is full of natural beauty and is convenient for Cape excursions.

This was our 5th year at this wonderful cottage. It has everything you need for a delightful week from home. This year we hiked, beached and shopped (not my husband's favorite thing to do!) and coming back to the cottage to relax on the wraparound deck was the perfect way to end each day! If you are able to visit in June, I highly recommend it. It's a perfect time to visit ..the days are warm, the beaches aren't packed, and you rarely, if ever, wait at a restaurant to be seated. It's our favorite time of year at the Cape.

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful cottage for a week at Mayflower Point during the past six summers (2012-2017). After our first stay, we knew that we would return every year because we immediately felt at home there. If we hadn't decided to build our own house and make the Cape our permanent home this year when we retire, we'd be returning to the Mayflower Point.

The cottage has everything you need and its location is perfect - secluded, yet an easy drive to Orleans, Chatham, beaches, ponds, hiking trails, restaurants, etc. There is direct access to launch your kayak or canoe and you don't need to drive anywhere to take a beautiful walk.

If you rent this cottage, you will love that the only thing you need to bring are your sheets and towels. The washer and dryer are a plus, as is the fully equipped kitchen. The cottage has been upgraded over the years since we first stayed and it now has air conditioning - a big help if you're there during the hottest time of the summer. The internet connection is excellent and there's cable TV. You will also find beach chairs, games and puzzles, books, tourist brochures, and videos.

The owners are gracious and available if needed, but never intrusive. You may come across other listings that rent for less, but I assure you that this cottage will spoil you after your first visit and you will agree that it's worth the difference to stay in this comfortable, lovely cottage in such a perfect location.

My wife and I stayed here in August of 2017. The place is just the right size for a couple. It has a very nice kitchen and deck with gas grill. Area is secluded next to the owners' home and overlooks the large lawn out to the water. Open living room, dining area. The kitchen is nice and opens to the large main deck with table and chairs. Kitchen has all the amenities with stove, microwave, coffee maker, large refrigerator and cooking and eating utensils. It is a bit out of the way off dirt roads, and you need to follow the directions given as GPS does not work in the area. Close to Orleans for baseball, restaurants, and beaches. The owners are great hosts and the place is immaculate. Would recommend and would love to visit again!!

What a wonderful beginning to summer. We truly love your little cottage and how, when we come down the driveway, it feels like coming home. We had another wonderful week of peace and relaxation.

We feel lucky to have discovered Molly's cozy little cottage a few years ago on VRBO. This is our third year there for a couple of weeks in September. We surely hope to return again next year. Pleasant Bay is stunningly beautiful, my very favorite place for kayaking at all tidal conditions. Our kayaks are kept snugly upon the bank of the Namequoit River, just a short walk away from the cottage. From there, we can paddle in all directions in Pleasant Bay as well up the river to Arey's Pond! And also from the cottage, it's just a 15 min. cycle to reach the Cape Cod Rails to Trails in the center of Orleans. Stop on your way back at a delightful little garden stand on Monument Rd. to enjoy local vegetables and fruit. We spent our honeymoon in Orleans, 51 years ago and have been coming back ever since because nothing for us compares to the beauty of this area.

My husband and I stayed here for a week and loved it. It's peaceful and very private, yet ideally located for access to all the Orleans waterways and related boating and beach activities. Close to Captain's Golf Course, an easy drive to Chatham, Orleans, Brewster, Harwich. All that said I was content to just sit on the decks and drink coffee (or wine). It was hard to leave each day but we sure did and we had a great time. Very clean and comfortable and well outfitted. Thanks again, Molly.

What a wonderful week we had in this cottage. It looks idyllic online, but it's even better in person. Imagine sipping your coffee from the deck, overlooking the lake, while songbirds serenade you. The location is ideal. We were able to easily enjoy Chatham, Harwich Port, Hyannis, Provincetown and more, and easily get back to the cottage. And the beach... what can we say about nearby beautiful Nauset Beach! The kitchen is spacious, and nicely equipped. The cottage is comfortable, well decorated, and spotless! Molly is a wonderful host. We had a great time!

My husband and I were married in Brewster on June 28th, and we wanted a perfect place to enjoy our Cape Cod honeymoon. This cottage was perfect! It was so bright, peaceful and private. We are both nature lovers, and this cottage suited our love of the outdoors, while still being so modern and comfortable. We loved relaxing outside on the main deck and enjoying that magnificent view! We look forward to returning.

While staying in this cottage, I felt like I had come home. I summered on the Cape in my teens and lived and worked there for 10 years recently. This cottage captured all that I loved about the Cape. The view of the water, the wooded surrounding area, the smell of fresh air and pine, and the quiet and serenity. The house had everything we needed. The owners and management company were very helpful and quick to respond to questions. The location is perfect for touring all the Cape - you can hop on Rt. 28, Rt. 6, Rt 6A within 5-10 minutes. If you want the cape cod experience, I would definitely recommend this cottage/charming house. We plan to return here next year.

My wife and I had never visited Cape Cod, and are so happy and fortunate to have found this cottage on our first trip here. The cottage is located in a very quite and secluded area that we found very pleasing, but it is centrally located on the Cape to all of the attractions that we visited during the week of our visit, and is very close to all that Orleans has to offer. We especially like the Orleans area for it's small town feel and friendliness. The cottage has everything in the way of amenities that we could have expected, wanted, or needed. It is well maintained, clean, and a very relaxing place to be. Our host, Molly, was warm and gracious was very helpful in recommending local places to visit. This is a place that would be easy to return to and we hope to do just that. I highly recommend this to any couple that wants to visit the Cape.

This was our third time renting this wonderful cottage in Mayflower Point. When we discovered it two years ago, we knew that we would be back every year. The setting couldn't be better - easy access to Orleans, yet tucked into the woods where the only sounds you hear are the birds that sing such lovely songs every morning. The grounds are gorgeous, with a stunning view of the water and just enough clearing to allow the sun to shine through the many windows. The cottage has EVERYTHING anyone could want to make the stay comfortable. If you rent here, I am sure you will agree that it will become your home that you look forward to coming back to every day and, perhaps, every year. We will definitely be here the same week in August until we retire to the Cape. We were fortunate to have an absolutely splendid week of weather that allowed us to take full advantage of the many activities on the Cape. These include a bike ride (30+ miles) on the Cape Cod Rail Trail, kayaking for three hours on the Town Cove in Orleans (rented kayaks at Goose Hummock), two splendid hikes - one in the Punkhorns and another on the Great Island Trail in Wellfleet. We certainly slept well every night! Other less physical activities included the block party in Orleans, strolling through the town of Chatham, dining in great restaurants in Orleans and beyond, and attending Pops in the Park, a wonderful annual event in Orleans.

From Australia, we searched the VRBO website for a one-bedroom cottage on Cape Cod that was centrally located and in a beautiful setting where we could experience life on the Cape for two weeks. How delighted we were to find that, on arrival, our choice was just perfect! With views over the Namequoit River, amid woodlands and a beautiful garden, the cottage was exactly what we had hoped for...a hidden gem. We were easily able to explore from Hyannis to Provincetown from this site...and even managed a day ferry trip to Nantucket. The cottage itself has two wonderful decks that are ideal to take advantage of the vistas and sunshine. Inside it is light, modern, very clean and has excellent facilities. There was even a bottle of wine to greet us on arrival. We would highly recommend this cottage to both overseas visitors to Cape Cod, and to the many Americans wishing to holiday there.
