    Parsonage Cottage Third Bedroom

People should be aware that the first floor bedroom is separate from the main part of the cottage. The bedroom is off the patio. In order to get to the first floor bedroom, you have to go outside. There is no covered access between the cottage and the bedroom. If it is raining, you are going to get wet.
The listing is fine for two bedrooms but not if you need a first floor bedroom.

    Owner Response:

Thank you for your review, we really appreciate it. We're sorry that the third bedroom was not what you expected. It is certainly not our intention to misrepresent the third bedroom, please see our original text and revised text below. For guests who call before booking I always explain as per the description that "the third bedroom does not have ensuite facilities, but is just 6 feet from the rear entrance to the cottage where the full bathroom is". I took your booking over the phone so clearly, that was not an adequate explanation, I'm sorry about that.

    Original text
The third bedroom is located off the rear patio, does not have ensuite facilities, but is just 6 feet from the rear entrance to the cottage where there is a full downstairs bathroom. It's a large room with a queen bed, a cozy nook and TV to relax in, with French doors out onto the patio.

For the past 10 years Jo and Rich Hoad have run The Parsonage Inn a boutique Inn in East Orleans. Two years ago, they converted part of the Inn into a summer rental and winter rental, to meet the changing needs of the market. New for 2023 they will convert the remaining part into a rental, offering guests both a three bedroomed rental, and a seven bedroomed rental.
Jo and Rich have been married for 40 years, have five children, and have worked and lived in the United Kingdom, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Maryland, and now in Cape Cod. With so much to see and experience, go to their website blog to see recommended local restaurants, day trips, seal or whale watching, bike rentals, or theatre tickets. Infact everything to ensure you have a wonderful stay in Orleans, MA on Cape Cod.
Jo-Anne comes from a family deeply involved in the hospitality industry. Her parents owned Inns in the UK for almost twenty years and her family live in the sailing center of Lymington in southern England. She successfully brought up a family of five children, managing and balancing the challenges of a busy home life.
Richard is a successful Business and Marketing Director, focused on the airlines and airports managed services sector. He is a graduate of The Chartered Institute of Marketing and is an experienced aviation business professional who has run businesses, sales, and marketing organizations in the US and Europe.

What is special about this property?
The property dates back to 1770, 250 years old and is full of original features such as pumpkin pine floors, exposed beams, and fireplace. It was most recently a boutique bed and breakfast. In the 1700's and 1800's it was owned by prominent Cape families like the Sparrows and Cummings and was a Parsonage in the 1800's to the Federated Church. Jo and Rich are thrilled to be the current custodians of such a wonderful historic building.
