Description

The Parson's House is a historic and stunning seven-bedroom home all with full ensuite bathrooms, a designer fitted kitchen, two large lounges, landscaped patio and garden with hot tub. This luxury home offers the perfect mix of modern elegance and historic charm.

Great East Orleans location, walking distance to your favorite restaurants, gift shops, and Cape Cod's famous Smitty's Ice cream! 1.5 miles from Nauset beach, an easy bike or a short drive. After your day at the beach, come home to enjoy a cocktail by the outdoor gas fire pit and hot tub. Be sure not to miss the outdoor shower before preparing dinner in the fully equipped large kitchen, enough room for your family and friends to join you!

Two separate staircases take you to the seven bedrooms, five with king beds and two with queens. Each bedroom has its own luxury bathroom, ensuring everyone has their own privacy and personal space, flat screen TV's WiFi and air conditioning. It has two spacious lounges, one to the front that looks out on the gardens and one an open concept connected to the kitchen and dining room. The kitchen and dining room were completely remodeled in 2020 and highlight original beams and structure. Bright and spacious they look out onto the rear west facing patio garden.

Bedroom layout:
Bedroom #1, a large elegant and bright room, located on the ground floor with wonderful original pumpkin pine floors, a king size bed with luxury linens, two comfy chairs, and fully fitted bathroom with walk-in shower.

Bedroom #2, Located on the second floor, polished pumpkin pine floors, a comfy queen sized bed with fine linens, two relaxing chairs, a large bathroom with soaking tub and shower

For the past 10 years Jo and Rich Hoad have run The Parsonage Inn a boutique Inn in East Orleans. Two years ago, they converted part of the Inn into a summer rental and winter rental, to meet the changing needs of the market. New for 2023 they will convert the remaining part into a rental, offering guests both a three bedroomed rental, and a seven bedroomed rental.
Jo and Rich have been married for 40 years, have five children, and have worked and lived in the United Kingdom, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Maryland, and now in Cape Cod. With so much to see and experience, go to their website blog to see recommended local restaurants, day trips, seal or whale watching, bike rentals, or theatre tickets. Infact everything to ensure you have a wonderful stay in Orleans, MA on Cape Cod.
Jo-Anne comes from a family deeply involved in the hospitality industry. Her parents owned Inns in the UK for almost twenty years and her family live in the sailing center of Lymington in southern England. She successfully brought up a family of five children, managing and balancing the challenges of a busy home life.
Richard is a successful Business and Marketing Director, focused on the airlines and airports managed services sector. He is a graduate of The Chartered Institute of Marketing and is an experienced aviation business professional who has run businesses, sales, and marketing organizations in the US and Europe.

What is special about this property?
The property dates back to 1770, 250 years old and is full of original features such as pumpkin pine floors, exposed beams, and fireplace. It was most recently a boutique bed and breakfast. In the 1700's and 1800's it was owned by prominent Cape families like the Sparrows and Cummings and was a Parsonage in the 1800's to the Federated Church. Jo and Rich are thrilled to be the current custodians of such a wonderful historic building.
