Welcome to The Salty Sweet Cottage - a 'Sweet', quaint 1890 quintessential Cape Cottage. - The Cottage is completely restored with all new appliances, bathrooms, kitchen, game room, living room, sun porch, patio and outdoor shower. Antique and one of a kind furnishings adorn every room. The entire house has unique antiques and curated paintings and artwork throughout.

Centrally located on a dead end street in Orleans, the Salty Sweet Cottage is right on the Cape Cod Rail Trail making a bike ride to Skaket Beach (four beach chairs are here for you) or Downtown Orleans is just four minutes from home. Skaket Beach is perfect for young children - never rough. You can walk out at low tide for a mile! We are four miles from Nauset Beach voted the best beach on Cape Cod!

Beautifully landscaped with an inviting sun porch and patio area and outdoor shower, the cottage has multiple meeting areas for conversation, music, games, WIFI, or big screen TV with YoutubeTV (all channels), Netflix, Prime and Hulu. The large lush green lawn has room for croquet, corn hole, volleyball, badminton and touch football.

The Cottage features four bedrooms, one downstairs with a queen bed off the Game room and three upstairs - two with queen beds and one with a twin all appointed with a care for detail.

The Cottage opens to a Sun Porch, with comfortable couch and chairs and a beautiful view. Next you enter the Game room or den. The living room with dining area comes next. This room has the large screen TV with comfortable couch/lounge chairs and table; it makes this the ideal place to unwind at the end of a beach day to watch a movie or series. The dining area seats six comfortably with a beautiful glass table. The new patio off the kitchen has a new Victory barbeque (with an extra propane tank for your convenience) and also has seating for six.

The completely remodeled kitchen comes next with all new Italian SMEG appliances and Bertazzoni range, a quartzite countertop.. It comes complete with toaster, microwave, coffee maker and well as all new silver and dinnerware and other typical cooking utensils.. The downstairs half bath off the kitchen has a custom built cabinet that holds a new Miele washer and drier. The new outdoor shower with changing room behind the house makes for a perfect second, and most days, preferable Cape shower.

The cottage has all refinished original southern pine and douglas fir flooring with stairs to the second floor landing leading to the beautiful three bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen sized white bed frame with closet and dresser. Another upstairs bedroom has a four poster queen bed with a closet. The third upstairs bedroom, perfect for your little one, has a twin bed or can accommodate a crib.

The upstairs bathroom has a clear glass enclosed shower with a beautiful custom designed mirror and vanity.

The kitchen leads to a large patio with brick deck and large area for gathering. The patio has a teak table and chairs with seating for six, a new Victory Barbeque, and additional cocktail gathering area for six.
