The house:
3-bedroom, 1 1/2 Bath two-floor plus walk-out basement modern, open plan home constructed in 1979 with a master addition added in 2000. The house has a sun-drenched, southeast-facing, 1,000 square foot wrap-around deck, a wood-burning fireplace, an outdoor shower and a private parking area for four cars.

Master bedroom:
The large master bedroom has a king size bed and an en suite bathroom with a dual-sink vanity and a dual shower, plus lots of closet space in the connecting hallway, two dressers, a built-in writing desk situated at a window and a vaulted ceiling with a ceiling fan. The master bathroom has four windows plus skylights for plenty of light. The master bedroom has sliding doors with direct access to the deck.
The second and third bedrooms are located on the second floor and a connected to each other by a short hallway and to the living area by a wide staircase.
Second bedroom:
The second bedroom has a queen size captain’s platform bed with under bed storage, a large closet and built in storage drawers. This bedroom has a skylight which can be opened, a window, and overlooks the living area via a transom with shutters. <br />

Third bedroom:<br />
The third bedroom overlooks the front of the house and currently has a queen bed, but can be configured with two twin beds. This bedroom is carpeted and has a skylight which opens and windows on two sides. This bedroom has a dresser and pegs for hanging clothes.<br />

There is a library/study which has a full sleeper sofa and can serve as a separate additional bedroom, as well as two queen sleeper sofas in the living area. <br />

The house has an open galley-style kitchen adjoining the dining and living areas, and there is a sliding door leading directly to the deck from the dining area. The kitchen has an electric oven and stovetop, a toaster oven, a large refrigerator and a dishwasher. There is an entertainment nook between the library/office and the living area with a large window seat, and built-in bookcase with a television and a stereo. <br />

There are sizable open yards on two sides of the house, as well as planted areas at the main entrance and along one side of the house. The deck side of the house looks out over a large wetland area. <br />
<br />
The house is located less than a mile from the shops, restaurants and post office of East Orleans, and two miles from downtown Orleans. There is a small market in East Orleans, and a large supermarket three miles away in Orleans. <br />
<br />
The town of Orleans has two marinas, an outdoor and water sport outfitter, two surf shops, a mini-golf center, a book shop, two toy stores, a childrens’ clothing store, two bike shops, both of which offer repairs and rentals, as well as Cape Cod Rail Trail access, a bowling alley, a pizza restaurant, two fresh seafood markets, several purveyors of fast seafood, a liquor store and a wine shop. There are two coffee shops, a donut shop, and a number of fine dining as well as casual restaurants in Orleans and the surrounding areas of the Mid and Outer Cape. There is a seasonal drive-in movie theater as well as a year-round cinema in Wellfleet, 15 miles further out. The Cape Cod National Seashore starts in Eastham, the next town over from Orleans. There are two main beaches, the extensive oceanside Nauset Beach, and the bayside Skaket Beach, whose shallow waters are ideal for kids and where truly amazing sunsets can be observed year-round.<br />
