This well cared for Wellfleet home is tucked away, far from route 6, and has a large screened porch to enjoy your morning coffee and family meals. The house has many other wonderful features such as the beautiful cherry floors in the bedrooms, a ping pong table/play room in the finished basement and spacious cathedral ceilings throughout the living room and dining room. There are 2 mini-split A/C units that keep the house cool, a washer and dryer on the main floor, and updated window & skylight coverings. The house has 2 comfortable, newer queen beds and two twin beds in the loft space above that the kids can enjoy! The kitchen is well equipped with all you'll need to prepare your summer meals. The lower level has a walkout to the backyard complete with patio, umbrella and seating. There are beach chairs for your convenience as well as games and puzzles the whole family can enjoy. And yes, we have a lobster pot!

The house has good wifi throughout, two smart TV.s and plenty of spaces to read a good book or relax after a day at the beach. The custom built cedar and mahogany outdoor shower is a delight!

It's a short ride to the ocean and bay beaches and we’re conveniently located just under a mile walk to town. You can easily bike from the house to explore all that Wellfleet has to offer. Let our bright, open cape be your sanctuary for a summer getaway!

    Cute Cape Cottage

    The cottage was clean, comfortable and well-stocked. We loved spending time in the screened-in porch and basement rec room. The air conditioning kept the place nice and cool. The outdoor shower and gas grill got a lot of use. The owners were very helpful, communicative and responsive. We'll be back!!

    Great Rental

    My husband and I and our three teenagers enjoyed our stay at Ted and Vanessa's home. The airy and bright house had enough space for all of us to get some privacy and the A/C came in handy during the heat wave. As long time vacationers to Wellfleet, the location was a prime reason for our rental. The house is very close to town as well as to all the local beaches. Ted and Vanessa were very accommodating and responsive when there were questions and did their best to make us feel welcome. I highly recommend this vacation spot! show more show less

    Great Stay at Great House!

    We had a great stay at Ted and Vanessa's Wellfleet house this summer! Here are some highlights:

    - The AC units were great. They were quiet and kept the house nice and cool. The one in the living room + the ceiling fans made it so we were very comfortable (amazing, since we have been through a number of heat waves in Wellfleet with no AC).

    - outdoor shower was wonderful

    - providing beach chairs to borrow was very helpful

    - kitchen was very functional. It's bigger and more open than we were imagining from photos.

    - My 9-year-old was obsessed with the loft space. He insisted on sleeping up there. Very fun for kids.

    - Loved the QR codes for the house instructions. Made it really easy.

    - The house was immaculately clean upon arrival.

    - Our hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed (offered a table leaf for when family came for dinner, etc.) yet were completely unintrusive.     show more show less

    Excellent house for our family of 4

    My family - parents and twin 16 year olds - had a great time staying at Ted and Vanessa's house: it was super clean, well-equipped and has an awesome screened porch, which was a lifesaver during this summer of the mosquito. Most excellent outdoor shower, too. We loved the proximity to Wellfleet center and rode around town on our bikes from the house with some frequency, when we weren't at the beach or ponds. We really enjoyed our stay!

    Excellent Home Rental

    Convenient location, downtown Wellfleet is located only a few minutes drive away from this cute house. I could have even walked/jogged to town if I had wanted. The outdoor shower was brand new and extremely refreshing and having laundry on site was key.

    We cooked all of our meals each day and there was ample space to do this for a family of 6, including two kids. The kids really enjoyed the loft area although morning lights from the skylights sometimes got them up early. The new central A/C units were amazing and definitely helped to keep the house cool!

    The homeowners were overall extremely responsive and helpful through the whole process and definitely made my first house rental experience a great one.

    Would definitely recommend this home to friends and family and would 100% stay here again!

    We've been vacationing on the Cape for more than a decade and Wellfleet has always been our favorite destination! We've made many updates to this home and we're hoping vacationers will enjoy it for years to come!



    What is special about this property?
    We love the open concept of the living room and dining room, with the exposed fireplace as a centerpiece. We also enjoy that we are central to everything, under a mile into town, and we are very close to the border with Truro. Some of the improvements we've made include: beautiful cherry floors in the bedrooms, an oversized cedar outdoor shower, and a 'game room' in the basement. Several pieces of furniture in the home are handmade and there are some lovely local pieces of art on the walls.


    What is special about your town?
    Wellfleet is quaint yet vibrant town complete with a farmers market on Wednesdays, and an active assortment of restaurants and attractions. The ocean beaches are dramatic with beautiful dunes and gentle sand. Our home, being in the northern part of Wellfleet, makes it easy to access Truro and P-town.
