The Clam Shack is truly Five Star! We all really enjoyed this beautiful home. It was roomy, comfortable, well stocked and immaculate!!! The location is perfect. We enjoyed morning walks, shopping in town and walking to dinner each night. It's just a short drive to the National Seashore and Province Town. Also, Phil was very responsive and answered all our questions when we were arranging our stay.
We definitely are going to plan a return visit.

We had another absolutely wonderful stay at the Clam Shack. Never before had we chosen to stay in the same rental as we had in the past, but the Clam Shack is an unbelievable house to stay in!! The home is filled with everything you might have forgotten! It is walkable to the beach, shops, galleries and restaurants. It felt private and peaceful with the backyard beautifully landscaped. The house itself is spotless and very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal for a large family. The hosts are extremely welcoming and helpful!! They could not have been nicer and so gracious!! We love Wellfleet and the Clam Shack and can not wait to return next summer!!

We love the location of this lovely historic home, beautifully updated and filled with just what we needed for a family gathering - seven people ages 2 to 72! My favorite spaces are the front porch for morning coffee and evening reading sessions, and the back patio with its lovely, established perennial garden and comfortable seating for all. The kitchen was well appointed, with everything we needed from making morning pancakes to grilling a summer feast. We loved being so near to The Pearl and other restaurants, as well as Mayo Beach and a playground an easy walk from the home. Don't miss the gallery walk on Saturday night - a Wellfleet tradition spiked with free wine and snacks! Phil and Ann are responsive hosts and we appreciated the book collection - both for children and adults.

We can't say enough positive things about the Clam Shack. The house has been wonderfully updated and has a great screen porch in the front for people watching in the morning and a manicured patio space in the back for family meals and conversation in the evening. You can also easily walk to Welfleet's great restaurants, into town, or down to the beach. The owners are lovely people - very welcoming and helpful. It is a great spot, and we look forward to returning for years to come.

Clam Shack was the perfect place for our vacation! The house was well stocked, beautifully maintained and in a great location with easy access to downtown and bay beaches. The backyard was a great place for morning coffee and dinner-in at night. Anne and Phil left many great local resources and recommendations and really thought of everything, including beach chairs, toys and wagon. It was a fabulous stay.

Our family loved the Clam Shack. The children played in the fenced backyard. We enjoyed breakfast on the patio while watching the beautiful pollinator garden. The house was clean and well stocked, the kitchen had everything. We enjoyed walking to town and restaurants. It was perfect for our multigenerational family. Everything was there for us. I loved that I only had to pack my clothes and easily unpacked them into the spacious closets. The owners were welcoming and responsive.

Great place to stay. Walking distance to galleries, restaurants, beach, stores. House is well taken care of and very clean. Love the front screened in porch, back patio is good to.

We had the best week at Phill and Anne's Wellfleet house! They were so welcoming and communicative, greeting us with a lovely card, dinner gift card, and bottle of wine. The house was clean, spacious, and perfectly located near great restaurants, shops, and attractions. The back garden and outdoor shower are a treat, and we spent hours enjoying the front screened porch. The hosts stock the place with everything you could ever possibly need, from first aid supplies to paper goods and cooking gadgets. There are games and books to enjoy, and a cozy fireplace. I could go on forever about this place. We were a family of 4 from GA (kids ages 6 and 12), and my parents from NY, who are in their 60s. Phill was super responsive when we had questions. We all had a fantastic week and can't wait to visit again!

The Clam Shack is no Shack, it is a beautiful historical house in the best spot in Wellfleet. The house has been beautifully and tastefully renovated.
This rental was completely outfitted with everything you would need for a great vacation! The kitchen and outdoor dining area has everything you need to prepare a gourmet dinner for your friends and family. The beds are very comfortable and supplied with linens. The bathrooms have large beautiful tiled showers and a great outdoor shower. The location is exceptional and we enjoyed the local fish store, The Pearl, Maxes Restaurant, the pier and Mayo beach. All a short walk from the house. My favorite spots of the house are the beautifully landscaped back yard patio and the screened front porch. The Wi-Fi works very well. The owners Phil and Anne really thought of everything to make our stay exceptional!

We highly recommend the Clam Shack to be your next home away from home! We stayed there with our 2 grown sons plus a girlfriend in August. Throughout the last 20 years we had rented from various hosts and Clam Shack is the best one. It checks all the boxes- great location, very walkable close to shops, restaurants and the Wellfleet Pier/Mayo beach; house is well equipped with all the amenities to have a very comfy stay; and a nice backyard to hang out after a day at the beach!
Phill and Anne are very hospitable, with welcoming surprises that no other hosts had ever extended to us in the past. They are also very accessible to answer any questions as well. It's gem!

We were 3 couples meeting in Wellfleet. The Clam Shack was the perfect home for us. Spacious, beautifully decorated, excellent towels and bedding. The kitchen is fully equipped. What we loved most was walking to the beach and restaurants then relaxing on the very private back patio or screened porch. No driving! We appreciated the outside shower to keep sand out of the house. The beach wagon was excellent to have. Town is also a short walk. Phill and Ann are happy to help at any time. We're glad we found this gem. Highly recommend.

Nothing but great things to say about our week at the Clam Shack. The property is perfectly located and beautiful inside. The back patio is idealfor family dinners and the front porch is great for people watching. Phil and Anne are so welcoming - we look forward to coming back!

What a wonderful home for an intergenerational family vacation! The home is comfortable and beautifully decorated, with generous spaces for us all to gather - the living room the back patio, and the large outdoor table and chairs - as well as places where you could escape to for a little piece and quiet (perfectly appointed bedrooms with comfortable beds). I loved the screened in front porch for a quiet place for morning coffee and people watching as well as a perfect spot to escape the mosquitos! The home is convenient to the pier, with several restaurants, a gallery and even a local theater! Nearby Mayo Beach was a quick walk, and a perfect place for our two- and four-year-old grandsons to play (with a playground right across the street. Downtown galleries, shops, groceries, and ice cream are a short walk up the hill. The kitchen has everything I needed to make a wonderful fish dinner (with fish bought just around the corner). We decided to get a beach pass to the Wellfleet ponds - a $100 investment I'd highly recommend. Thank you for such a wonderful spot to make memories.

Our family of 7 rented this house in July and had a great vacation week! This home is so nice inside and out. The living area and kitchen are big and they have all the amenities you could need. Our adult kids spent a lot of time relaxing on the double recliner couch with the big blanket that covers everyone. We enjoyed coffee on the screen porch in front and loved the nicely landscaped patio out back. We would've spent even more time out back, but it was very hot that week. Thank goodness for the AC in every bedroom. Very comfy beds also. Probably the best part was being able to just stroll over to the pier for dinner and ice cream or walk anyplace downtown. Anne & Phill are also extremely nice people and easy to talk to if you had an issue. We would highly recommend this home!!!

This was a wonderful place for our Cape Cod vacation. Walking distance to the local beach, restaurants, shops and easy drives to all the Outer Cape spots. The house and yard are beautiful with everything you could ask for. My favorite was sitting in the patio after a day at the beach and breathing in the lavendar scent from the garden. So pleasant.

We hope to be there again next summer.

We had the perfect stay at the Clam shack on commercial street wellfleet . The property is beautiful inside and out . It was very well appointed , we didn't feel like we lacked for anything . The outside area in back is like an oasis; beautifully landscaped with plenty of seating .We all enjoyed the outdoor shower after a day at the beach . The driveway which only fits 2 cars is a bit of a challenge but we dudntbhave any issue with finding additional parking when needed . The location is perfect ; it's an easy walk to downtown wellfleet and many bars and restaurants. The second week of June ended up being a great time to visit , as crowds were minimal and there were no beach fees ! I would highly recommend this property and would rent again if the opportunity presents itself.

If you really "Need A Vacation" this is the place to go. A beautiful home with a perfect location, this spot has everything you need. Spacious and cozy, at the same time, this home left us wanting for nothing. The front screened in porch welcomes you and leaves you with the immediate feeling that you'll be back out there, even before you see the rest of the house. Step into the living room, through the front door and find the perfect mix of modern updates, vibrant colors and the old world charm of the original wood beams in the ceiling. The color scheme is warm and inviting in a fireplaced room with comfy furniture and plenty of room to relax. The kitchen, also roomy enough for a sit- down dinner for my family, is well stocked with the staples you would expect to be in a kitchen to be able to prepare dinner at home; paper products, pots, pans, dinnerware and cooking utensils all seemingly placed "exactly where you'd expect them to be." We didn't have to "hunt" for anything. Step out the back door to a gorgeous, well- equipped patio, and a garden that invites you to spend the weekend right there! As beautiful in the moonlight as it is in the morning, it's a restful place to have morning coffee, read a book, barbecue in the evening, or simply sit and take in the sights and the scents of lavender, most fragrant in the evening, or the butterflies that visit the plants that are thoughtfully placed to attract them. An outdoor shower is off to the side of the garden to enjoy after a day at the beach, or relax in before bed. The four bedrooms are equipped with crisp linens, comfortable beds and individually climate controlled. The bathrooms are modern and pristine, also stocked with plush towels, paper products, fragrant soaps, lotion, and shampoo if you haven't chosen to bring your own. One of the bathrooms is conveniently located downstairs in the master ensuite, and the other also climate controlled is centrally located, and also well stocked upstairs. A washer/dryer complete the downstairs necessities. What I truly enjoyed about this place was that the layout allowed for a full family gathering in the living room or kitchen, or quiet solitude in space on the front porch and/or backyard garden. The home's convenient location, allows you to enjoy seafood on the Wellfleet Harbor at any time of day, and amazing ice cream to enjoy as you take in the beauty of the harbor, at the end of the street. Take a walk the other way to enjoy other restaurants and shops, including a fun little thrift shop, also within walking distance. Beaches of the Cape Cod National Seashore including the beautiful Marconi Beach, are a short drive away, as is the famous Wellfleet Flea Market, and there is no shortage of things to do, once you hop in your car, no matter which direction you take. I returned from my weekend away, as rested as I would have if it had been a week or more. I would give this home ten stars if I could, but since there's no way to do that, I will give it the most I can. This home is a five star vacation spot, and I absolutely cannot wait to return!
