I have stayed in MV probably 10 or so times and each rental has its own good points and not so good points. What I can say about this property, and I am a pretty tough critic (just ask my wife), is that it worked very well for our 4 adults in most every way : space, amenities, location, ample yard and deck, even a nice fireplace. The main room provides lots of space and with the white walls and numerous skylights, even in low light conditions it felt bright. As to location, the shopping center "Stop and Shop" was 1.5 miles away -- a brisk walk if you like that type of thing -- and Katama and South Beach are just a short 10 minute drive. j

The owner was easy to deal with and accessible.To close, if you like a very nice , well equipped, well situated rental home, this is a great choice. show more show less

Although we have been vacationing in May on M.V. for 20 years, this was our first time renting a property on the island. It was a great experience. The Inns and B&Bs we have stayed in were all nice but we wanted to have family visit us for a couple of days this year, and this house was perfect. The homeowner, Linda, is very friendly and accommodating. The house has a great open living space, and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need for cooking and dinning. The master suite provides great privacy with access to the outdoor shower and deck. The back yard is picture perfect. We are looking forward to our next Island vacation!! show more show less

This is out new favorite rental on Martha's Vineyard. After a few steps at the entrance, the house is all on one floor with easy access to all rooms in the house. It is excellent for seniors that want to avoid climbing stairs. The floors are beautiful and have no thresholds that may cause a tripping hazard. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, and dishware. It had a great backyard with a deck and patio furniture, a perfect place for morning coffee or lunch. It is located on a quiet dead end street and has a convenient circular driveway. As I said in the beginning, for myself and my wife, "This is our new favorite rental on Martha's Vineyard. show more show less

We stayed at Linda's home for a week in August - it was very clean, well appointed and a perfect size for our family of four. It is much bigger than it looks from the outside and very comfortable. It has a nice grill and beautiful back yard. The house was very dry, which is a plus because some rental homes can be damp given the climate on the Vineyard. The home also has air conditioners in the bedrooms, which makes the evenings on a hot summer night very comfortable. It is a well maintained home.

My son commented that the only issue with the house was because it was so nice, it made him not want to leave the house to go out and do things! This is probably the highest compliment a 13 year old can give since we have been coming to the Vineyard since he was a baby. The owner, Linda, is very nice, accommodating and prompt in communication. She sent back our security deposit promptly after our trip ended. We highly recommend this home, and plan on returning in the future. show more show less

Two senior couples stayed a week at this property and found it to be very comfortable, clean and convenient to Edgartown. We were far enough from the highway that we did not get traffic noise yet access is very easy. The house is well appointed but not fancy or plush - just right for coming in from a day of sightseeing or dining out and relaxing in front of the TV and/or fireplace. If we get another chance to go to Martha's Vineyard, we would definitely try to book this property at this time of year. Linda was great to work with and made our first visit to the island a very memorable one. I highly recommend this property. It is just right for us. show more show less

We stayed here for a week in August 2014. The house was bright and clean! Everything we needed was there for us, including the linens. Our family of 4 has stayed in several homes on Martha's Vineyard over the years and none of the other homes have been quite right for us -until now! We will certainly be back! The house was a great size with a nice layout, and the large, flat, fenced in back yard was perfect for our two active sons (ages 5 & 6). We rented bikes and could easily access several beaches, restaurants, Stop & Shop, and town on them. The homeowner was friendly and helpful. We look forward to returning soon! show more show less

The property was clean and felt like home. Linda was very friendly, helpful, and kind. The property has a great layout, a fantastic backyard and easy access to State Beach, South Beach, Edgartown, and the bike path. We hope to return!

We have rented this property for two weeks each year for the past several years. It's a great home. Always very clean and well appointed. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are extremely comfortable, which is rare in a rental (linens were supplied). The backyard is fabulous for the kids. We love the enclosed outdoor shower. The homeowner was great. The microwave broke during our stay, and she had it replaced the next day. Thanks for a wonderful vacation. We will be back next year.

Our family stayed at this lovely clean, dry, home for 1 1/2 years while our home was being built. It was so comfortable with lots of room for our family of 2 adult and three children. The back yard was fabulous with so much room for activities. The spacious deck was perfect for outside living along with the 6 foot enclosed outside shower. We highly recommend this home.

WE stayed at this cottage several years ago and liked it very much. It was clean and well appointed and a short drive to great beaches. I would highly recommend staying here for a family of 4-5 or for a couple wanting a pleasant get away from all the hustle-bustle of life.
