Welcome to Villa de Vina, Our Home Away from Home
For more than 40 years, Villa de Vina has been a cherished part of our family's story. My husband spent his childhood summers on Martha's Vineyard, visiting with his mother's best friend and creating memories filled with laughter, adventure, and the simple joys of island life. When the opportunity arose, we were fortunate enough to purchase this beautiful Villa—a true home away from home where serenity and charm embrace you at every turn.
Martha's Vineyard holds a special kind of magic. Even as its popularity has grown, the island still remains a place where life's simple pleasures shine brightest—whether it's a quiet morning walk, the salt air whispering through the trees, or the joy of a sunset that feels like it was painted just for you. For our family, it became an oasis, a sanctuary from the noise and demands of the mainland—a place where the spirit could breathe and the heart could rest.
Villa de Vina is a reflection of that spirit. It's a place to slow down, to reconnect with what matters most, and to find happiness in the everyday. We are honored to share this special place with you and hope that, like us, you'll find a piece of yourself here that stays with you long after you leave.
Welcome to Villa de Vina. Welcome home.
What is special about this property?
Villa de Vina is classic Martha's Vineyard gingerbread charm with the kind of comfort that makes you exhale the second you walk in. Our home is bright and welcoming, with airy rooms and those porches that practically beg for morning coffee and evening conversations. Surrounded by leafy island calm and that hint of salt air, it's the perfect backdrop for days that feel easy, warm, and unhurried.
What really sets Villa de Vina apart is the lived-in heart of it—decades of family laughter, celebrations, and summer stories baked right into the walls (in a good way, not in a "haunted wallpaper" way). We've preserved its original character while adding thoughtful touches so it feels both special and effortless. And the location? You can *walk* to town for shopping, dining, and ice cream runs, and you can *walk* to the beach for sun-and-salt days—then come home to quiet, porch-lit evenings. It's that rare combo: close to everything you want, yet still peaceful enough to feel like a true retreat.
What is special about your town?
Oak Bluffs is one of the most vibrant and beloved towns on Martha's Vineyard, full of color, character, and history. It's a place where life feels a little lighter, a little more joyful. From the charming gingerbread cottages of the Martha's Vineyard Camp Meeting Association to the lively harbor filled with sailboats and seafood restaurants, Oak Bluffs has an energy that welcomes everyone with open arms. It's the kind of town where you can stroll along the bustling streets, grab an ice cream cone, listen to live music in Ocean Park, and still find a quiet bench to watch the world go by.
Located on Pequot Avenue, Villa de Vina sits in the heart of this magic. You're just a short, easy walk to Inkwell Beach, where mornings begin with breathtaking sunrises and evenings invite you for a refreshing swim. The historic Flying Horses Carousel—the oldest operating carousel in America—is just around the corner, as is Circuit Avenue, the lively main street full of shops, restaurants, and cafés. The Steamship Authority ferry service is also nearby, making arrivals and departures a breeze. Despite being close to all the action, Pequot Avenue remains peaceful and welcoming, offering the best of both worlds: vibrant town life just steps away, and a cozy, restful retreat to come home to at the end of each day.
