Honoring those who have served in the United States Armed Forces

Veterans Day falls on Sunday, November 11th this year. Here are a few events commemorating the brave men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces.

Truro Remembers
Where: The Truro Meeting House, Town Hall Road, 3 First Parish Lane, Truro
When: Sunday, November 11, 2018
On November 11, the community is invited to the Truro Meeting House to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armistice ending World War I and to honor veterans. The program, “Truro Remembers,” will take place at 3 pm.

6th Annual Field of Honor
Where: Johnny Kelley Park, Corner of Old Bass River Rd. and Crowell Rd., Dennis
When: Friday, November 9, 2018 - Monday, November 12, 2018
More than 350 U.S. flags will fly in an impressive panorama of red, white and blue at Johnny Kelley Park in Dennis. As in prior years posted flags will honor military, veterans, and personal heroes.

Veterans Appreciation Day — Hosted by Cape Cod Cares for the Troops
Where: Cape Cod Harley-Davidson, 750 MacArthur Blvd, Pocasset
When: Saturday, November 10, 2018, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
About Veterans Appreciation Day will be a day filled with fun, great music, food and from 11AM - 1PM, Cat from Cape Country 104 will be there to help CCC4TT collect items for Christmas Care Packages. Please bring a few items to donate, sign the Harley Davidson Banner which will be sent to a deployed unit in Afghanistan to show our support, sign a Christmas card to go in a care package or make a monetary donation to help with the cost of shipping 1500 Christmas Care Packages.
