Old Silver Beach, Cape Cod

Beautiful beach. Warmer water. But very busy. You’ll need to get there early to beat the traffic.

You can use the private community beach for this home [Vacation Rental ID 27559]. However, nearby Old Silver Beach is also a lot of fun. You can quickly get to the Sea Crest for drinks or meals.

Water is extremely warm and sand is very fine and pure white. There are no rocks in the water. There is a food hut to purchase burgers, grilled cheese, chicken sandwiches. When the tide is out there is a sand bar and you do have to walk a distance; however at high tide you don’t have to walk far.

Great waves, beautiful sunset and good beach layout

White sand, clear water at decent water temperature. Most of the beaches in Falmouth are full of rocks and large pebbles and you need rubber water shoes. But not Old Silver Beach. It's not a very large beach and it's very popular so it gets crowded pretty quick. However if you get there no later than 10am, like we did, you will not have a problem finding a parking spot and a great spot on the beach.

Old Silver Beach offers a very fine white sand which is not the case at many other beaches. There is a wonderful snack bar right there and there is a permanent bath house. Be aware though that the public parking areas fill up quickly and unless you are there before 10 am you may not be able to get a space. Parking is $25. Another wonderful beach is in South Yarmouth. Bass River Beach with a very large parking area also fills up; but not as quickly. The sand is also pure white and fine and there are changing facilities, bathrooms and a complete snack bar.

The sand is clean, without rocks and perfect for families and those who do not want massive waves. Get there early!

Small beach with soft white sand. Water shallow until quite far out. Our grandchildren love this beach.

Loved the white sandy beach, the calm and clean waters and the burger shack.

It is close - has a sandbar, restrooms and food vendor. Importantly, the lifeguards are very attentive. The children are very happy here and look forward to returning every year. It does get crowded but that makes for good people watching!

It was perfect for the kids. They loved the sandbar at low tide. It's not the biggest beach, but it's convenient having bath houses and even a snack shack.

Great family atmosphere with beautiful scenery

White sand. Water warmer than elsewhere on the Cape. However on the weekend, get there ridiculously early. The parking lot was full at 9:06 am. I recommend renting a house in walking distance.

The picturesque Cape Cod Beach! We love to travel to the Cape after Labor day as the beaches become Dog Friendly!

Soft, clean sand. Clean, clear water. Salt marsh is fun for the kids as well.

We tried several of the Falmouth beaches and liked Old Silver because it was not rocky, the sand was soft and white and the water was warm and wavy!

Perfect for toddlers and young children, no big wave. Hermit crabs and beautiful sand. Spacious beach.

Get there early and enjoy low tide!

This beach was terrific - esp during low tide. nice snack bar, and friendly people.

although there was a beach within walking distance, this was by far our favorite for a day outing...tidal pools...food service....facilities. fun for everyone.

Very close proximity to our rental house [Property ID 23248], CLEAN, water stays shallow for quite a ways out (great for little ones)
