    Amazing hospitality!!

From the moment we booked our stay, Kim and Terry made us feel like old friends rather than guests. The communications before our arrival were amazing -- Kim gave us directions and tips, and even sent us brochures for local activities and attractions. The guest house was absolutely immaculate, and appointed with all the comforts of home (and then some! My husband fell in love with the fully stocked outdoor shower!). The bedrooms are cozy and beautifully decorated, with the most comfortable and lush bedding, and tons of fresh towels and other extras. We honestly didn't lack a thing.

Kim was an incredible hostess: she greeted us with freshly baked cookies (brownies were a midweek treat, too) and the cutest gift baskets for our kids (pails filled with beach toys, and even microwave popcorn and videos for the rain day predicted later in the week). She even did our laundry for us!! Kim and Terry were full of information about the area, and were so fun to talk to. They even invited us for s'mores at their fire pit one night. It was the perfect blend of privacy and hospitality. We would stay again in a heartbeat, and are already planning our next trip back!

Kim and Terry are both Cape Cod natives. Kim was born and raised (5th generation) in Bourne! Terry was born in Falmouth so both have extensive knowledge of the area and its fascinating history. Kim's family, dating back to the 1700's, lived on this same road so choosing property to build was extremely meaningful. In 1989 Kim and Terry built, what is now, ''Cape Bay Guest House''. They raised 2 daughters and when they went off to college so did Kim! After successfully graduating with a ''Hotel/Restaurant Management'' degree, they built an addition to their home with plans to offer the original home as a vacation guest house. Since then, the Guest House has been a loved revisited vacation ''home away from home'' for many years; sadly, closed when Covid hit.
    RE-OPENING this 2022 season

What is special about this property?
Our home was built by our own 2 hands. We take pride in every detail of our home and offer a SAFE, CLEAN and memorable visit.
Walk right out the front door and down Gaffield St. approx. 333 steps to our tranquil beach. FREE parking is also allowed along the grassy area at ocean's edge! Swimming lessons are offered during summer months. Lifeguards are on duty all summer.
The ''Swing Beach'' (as we call it)....is to the right of our beach....smaller beach with 'swings' and play gym area for children. Amazing new tennis court and field to fly kites or throw a ball around.

You'll have an outside shower back to rinse and shower. For your convenience everything is provided for your showering needs whether at night- by solar lighting -or daytime after a day at the beach.

What is special about your town?
Our town of Bourne is filled with history galore!! The Cape Cod Canal is 2 miles away where you will find endless opportunities for adventures. Biking, walking, jogging and of course boating are most popular. We even have a train bridge with train service offering romantic sunset dinners to kid friendly lunch adventures. The track runs along the canal with amazing ever changing views.

Bourne encompasses both sides of the canal....each side offers endless history....self-guided and guided walking tours, boat excursions, whale watching, fishing trips, endless opportunities. Bourne offers boating, beaching, fishing.....something for everyone!
