Walk to beach in less than a minute, to Nobska Point/Lighthouse in 5 minutes, to the bikepath in 5 minutes, and to the village of Woods Hole in 15-minutes. New addition added to original structure in 2007. Kitchen, bathrooms and 3 bedrooms are all new construction. Upstairs bedroom opens onto a fabulous deck. There are two sitting areas and 2 dining areas. The original part of house includes a big room attached to tower-like structure with bunks. Highest bunk is at top of tower with 180 degree views, for reading or sleeping. It also connects to the deck. Outdoor shower has hot/cold water. Parking area holds 3 cars. Ferry and sail boat traffic pass in front of the house.

    Beauty above the beach

    We had a wonderful fall getaway at this gorgeous home in a spectacular location. Nothing could be more relaxing than watching the MV ferries go by, and the view is stunning in every direction. The upper deck was a perfect picnic spot in the Indian Summer sun, and the short walk to Nobska Beach made a quick dip easily accessible. The outdoor hot shower was a welcome treat after the beach.
    We woke up to sunrises over Nobska Light, and climbed to the owl's nest to see amazing sunsets over Woods Hole.

    I co-own this property with my brother. Our uncle built the original cottage in 1938. We grew up in Woods Hole, members of a large family. The cottage was used by family guests. In 2007 we added a 3-bedroom addition onto the original cottage.

    What is special about this property?
    The site is hard to beat. Perched over Nobska Beach, the views of Nobska light, Martha's Vineyard, the Elizabeth Islands, Juniper Point and Vineyard Sound are spectacular. The original camp-like structure, including a tower, has exquisite charm. Each room in the addition has views of the ocean.

    What is special about your town?
    With the world famous Oceanographic Institute, Woods Hole is a scientific community. In the summer, the population grows with visitors who want to experience Cape Cod at its best. It offers charm, access to Martha's Vineyard via ferry, a bicycle path to North Falmouth, lovely beaches and a wonderful summer climate three seasons of the year.
