Sometimes on a cold, rainy day, all I want to do is grab a book, find a cozy spot, and nestle in with some good comfort food and a mug of strong coffee. Lucky for me, I live just a couple miles from just such a spot— Sunbird in Orleans. Regardless of the season or time of day, you’ll walk into this establishment and be welcomed with a calm buzz of activity. With the light hum eclectic music in the background, people meet over cups of coffee and individuals hunker down over their laptops while munching on fresh, tasty treats.. The menu is on the smaller side, but each item is creatively concocted and, when possible, made from locally sourced foods. Choose from breakfast dishes, baked goods, soups, and sandwiches as well as coffees, teas, and other specialty drinks — I am yet to try something here that does not delight my taste buds! Watch for their Noodle Nights — you will find some of the yummiest ramen on the East Coast!
