Love this house!

We used to stay art Fred's Shed before we had kids. This summer we stayed at Svargaloka with our two boys and my father, and it was beyond perfect. The salt sea air, the ocean views, the sunsets/sunrises, the proximity to everything in Sconset made the most magical vacation.

The house is loaded with charm and full of any amenity you might need. It has clearly been lovingly taken care of and you feel that love when you are there.

We can't wait to go back again next summer.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A Little Slice of Paradise
Our family has been renting Svargaloka in Sconset for the past 7 years. The house is extremely clean and is well equipped with everything you would want for a visit to Nantucket. With the beautiful ocean views it is a little slice of paradise. If you have children, it is ideally located near the quaint Sconset beach playground. Our children have enjoyed growing up in this cottage and truly look forward to our return year after year. The owners are incredibly helpful and attentive and we could not have asked for a better home for our Nantucket vacations. show more show less

Perfect accommodations for a relaxing vacation in Sconset
This was our first time in Nantucket and we had a wonderful and relaxing experience at Svargaloka. The house is perfectly located on a bluff overlooking the beach and just steps from the hub of the quaint Sconset village with market, a few restaurants, post office, Casino etc. While the house is over 100 years old, it has been well maintained (and was clean) and is decorated with antiques appropriate to such a historic home -- it feels very "Nantucket". The kitchen and bathrooms are newly renovated and include all appliances (including washer and dryer) you could possibly need. We enjoyed the outdoor shower very much. The views from the house are breathtaking. Watching the moon and it's reflection shimmering over the ocean was especially magical. The house did not present any problems for our 18 month old daughter. While the beach at Sconset is better for playing in the sand than swimming (due to the strong rip tide), Sconset is just a short drive to Sesachacha Pond in Quidnet (perfect for little ones). To top everything off, we were greeted by the homeowners upon arrival and given a tour of the house and village. Karla, Thea, and Stephen were all very pleasant and helpful in planning our trip. We will stay at Svargaloka again when we return to Nantucket. show more show less

Beautiful water views!

What is special about our property?
...........The sights, the sounds and the smells
Magnificent water views from the back yard - you don't have to go to the beach to enjoy it!
Moon rising over the ocean
Aroma of wild beach roses
Soothing rhythm of the surf
Relax in the sun to the sound of the surf and let the cool ocean breeze take you away. Leave the world behind
Peace and Contentment .... Paradise

What is special about your town?
The cottage is located in the heart of the historic whaling village of of Siasconset, aka 'Sconset, which is famous for its rose covered cottages and rambling lanes - an explorers paradise.
'Sconset has been a destination for artists for generations. Wander the lanes and alleyways and be astonished by the quaint seaside cottages and their beautiful summer gardens.
The village has a post office, liquor store, three restaurants, art gallery and a market. It even has its own lighthouse, Sankaty Light

Recommendations:
* Lovely 3 1/2 mile roundtrip walk/bike ride to historic Sankaty Lighthouse
* 1 Minute to the Seasonal Shuttle Bus stop which goes to Nantucket town via 3 different routes (Take the scenic Polpis Rd route)
