Description

The Wings Neck Lighthouse is an incredibly unique and historic property - completely renovated and now available for an unforgettable vacation. Formerly a US Coast Guard Lighthouse, the light tower still stands attached by a breezeway to a fully functional three bedroom keepers home. Guests can climb the mahogany spiral staircase and view the Atlantic from the lantern room, read about the history of the lighthouse and explore the rocky slopes around the property.

Located at the tip of Wings Neck Point, the house has one of the most fabulous views of the Atlantic Ocean ever experienced. Situated a few feet from the water, the vistas are beautiful and traditionally New England. Exploring the rocks and the shore in front of the house is always a guest favorite.

The attached house is completely updated yet still maintains its historic charm. Once inside the entry way, the first floor consists of a living room with fieldstone fireplace which is open to a large eat-in kitchen. The kitchen also has a center island with breakfast bar. A comfortable family room has twin sofas (one pullout) and the TV/entertainment center. There are sleeping accommodations for eight. The house has three upstairs bedrooms (1 King, 1 twin set, 1 twin set) and a pullout Queen sofa in the family room. There is a full bath upstairs, a half-bath downstairs and an outdoor shower. Laundry is on the first floor. The kitchen has every amenity including dishwasher, microwave and lobster pot.

A private gate makes the property available only to residents and their guests. There is a private beach for residents only. The house has spectacular water views from every window in every room. Because of the proximity to the Cape Cod Canal, interesting and unusual vistas of shipping and boating traffic are seen daily. The property faces West and enjoys a rare view of the sunset over the water nightly. Many of our guest have reported life changing moments when they experience the peace, beauty and serenity of this special property.

Wings Neck Point maintains a private beach for residents but there are many other beaches worth visiting within a short drive. The small town of Pocasset is approximately three miles and has a few restaurants and convenience stores. Nearby Falmouth and Sandwich offer all the excitement of Cape Cod - beaches, shopping, sightseeing, great restaurants, history and the ferry to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.

Magical spot with lots of privacy

We enjoyed a magical Labor Day weekend at the Wings Neck Lighthouse. House was updated, very clean and well furnished. Kitchen is excellent with open-floor plan and lots of light. We enjoyed watching the canal boat traffic and climbing to the top of the lighthouse. Property has a huge yard for outdoor activities and very nice beach nearby. There is a great breakfast place down the road and the famous Chart Room restaurant is a short drive (mudslides!). A truly special property.

Girl's Retreat

In the early spring, my daughter-in-law, her friends and I enjoyed a three night get-away at the lighthouse. We were thrilled with our stay. Inside, the house is perfectly decorated with cozy, nautical furniture, comfy places to curl up with a project or gather with a group. It is light and clean; not crowded or heavy with clutter. The kitchen is spotless, with lots of counter tops for food prep. There is a large kitchen table in front of lovely windows for light. Upstairs the bedrooms are cozy and spotlessly clean. The lighthouse is surrounded on three sides by the bay. One can enjoy the expansive lawn and watch boat traffic enter and leave the Cape Cod Canal. We enjoyed exploring the old light tower, climbing the circular stairs and then through a hatch to enjoy the spectacular view from the top. The entire experience was perfectly wonderful, made extra special by the kindness of the attentive owner, Christina. We'll be back!! show more show less
