Looking for a Vineyard vacation that doesn't involve cooking? Looking for a Vineyard vacation that lets you travel on days where the ferries still have room? Read on.

A dramatic space with lots of angles and lots of glass, the suite comprises a bedroom area with a queen bed, a living room area with fireplace, and a large meditation, relaxation, and reading loft. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. The unit is comfortably furnished in a sleek contemporary style and is well provided with an assortment of books and music CDs.

Although there is no kitchen, a small refrigerator and a microwave are provided for your convenience. The cupboard is stocked with coffee, teas, cocoa, and milk.

While the unit is attached to the main house, it is otherwise completely independent, with its own entrance and facilities. There is a minimum of 4 nights during July and August. Otherwise the minimum is 3 nights. Not suitable for young children. Guests may not host overnight guests of their own. No set turn-over days. Set your own schedule.

Cancellation Policy: We ask for half the total at the time of booking and the second half 30 days before the arrival date. Cancellations up to 30 days before the arrival date are without penalty. For cancellations during the month before arrival, a refund minus a $100 cancellation fee will be given only if we are able to rebook .

    Slice of peaceful paradise

    Edward and Ellen have gone above and beyond! This tranquil suite has everything you need and more for a peaceful getaway. It's tucked away from the main road, easy to access by bus, and the homeowners could not be more helpful.

    From coffee to yoga mats to beach chairs and a ping pong tables they've got you covered. So much care and consideration went into this dwelling that it will be extremely difficult to want to leave.

    P.S. - keep an eye out for the deer! They visited us in the morning in the back forest - your windows will give you a great view! show more show less

    Literally….AMAZING!

    The Blue Moon Guest Suite is THE hidden gem of Martha's Vineyard. If you love living in a space out of the pages of Architectural Digest, then look no further. The Guest Suite is spacious, airy and clean with everything you need for the perfect vacation. In addition to the comfy bed and couch in the main living area, the suite also has a spacious loft which is perfect for relaxing and/or reading. Finally, Edward and Ellen were the most gracious hosts and their guest suite is simply fabulous!!

    An Exquisite Place to Stay!

    I had a wonderfully relaxing stay in this gem of a suite! It is even more impressive than the appealing depiction on the website. Edward and Ellen are generous and gracious hosts and made me feel so welcome in their beautiful property and accommodations. The suite is spacious, well designed, and flooded with natural light; the furnishings are new and comfortable; the decor artful and thoughtfully curated. Every detail is carefully considered and it suited me perfectly.

    The location is very conveniently located off of State Road in a peaceful and private residential area. It was perfect for my excursions to Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs, and all around the island on two wheels (and public transit)! I enjoyed the privilege of access to Lambert's Cove Beach, and Edward very generously treated me to a tour of nearby Polly Hill Arboretum where he volunteers.

    From my very first email inquiry, Edward was amazingly responsive. I sensed from our first phone conversation when he patiently answered my questions (since it was my first trip to MV in 30 years) that the Blue Moon Guest Suite is unique destination with one of kind hosts. I can't say enough about how wonderful the suite is and what a tremendous value it was for my budget and unconventional summer trip schedule.     Ideal Vineyard getaway!!

    Edward and Ellen's home was the ideal setting for our last minute babymoon. We were quite frantic in planning our vacation and they could not have been more accommodating to our questions and needs. Communication was fast and easy.

    Their home is conveniently located - equidistant to many of our favorite spots on the island - and minutes from the ferry. The design of the guest suite is absolutely gorgeous. The home is set back in the woods making for a serene and peaceful setting.

    The guest suite is an idyllic setting for a peaceful and relaxing getaway on the vineyard. The attention to detail at this property is outstanding. Edward and Ellen are amazing hosts who are only a text or email away to answer any questions or needs you may have.

    My wife and I moved to the island 1995 when she opened a boutique in Edgartown. We were soon followed by my wife's father and mother. When her father died, her mother wanted to build a guest house - her ''dream'' house - on our property. At the same time we built a completely private guest suite for her visitors and ours. The house and suite were designed by a talented Cambridge architect who also helped us to remodel parts of the main house to make the whole stylistically coherent.

    Shortly after my wife's mother died, we decided to rent the guest house, primarily during the summer, and the guest suite on occasion. We have developed long-term relationships with all of our summer guest-house visitors. We regard them as friends with whom we get to spend part of the year, not as ''renters'' in a traditional, commercial sense. We try to take care of their needs just as we would those of visiting family members.

    What is special about this property?
    The property is aesthetically of a piece. and is very beautiful inside and out. While we are in a neighborhood, there is distance and screening between use and our neighbors, thus helping to make the property feel private, tranquil,
    and renewing. At the same time, we are only two miles from the ferry and can drive to Tisbury stores in under 10 minutes. Our location on the island is rich in walking trails and Landbank properties.
