Open, light, bright contemporary main house and guesthouse suitable for large family or friendly summer gatherings, and/or wedding accommodations. The property is one half acre, partially wooded with a courtyard and a circular driveway that is protected from the road by a grove of trees. The decks are placed so that they face wooded lots for privacy.
The main, saltbox house and guesthouse studio apartment have collectively four bedrooms, three full baths, two full kitchens, two laundry rooms, four decks, two outdoor showers, two barbecue grills, two hammocks, and plenty of storage for bikes, coolers, etc. in the two car, finished garage. Both kitchens contain enough dinnerware, silverware and kitchenware to serve eight to ten persons.
Each of the upstairs bedrooms in the main house have two queen sized beds with a Jack 'n Jill bathroom directly accessible from either bedroom. There is a sitting deck off one of the upstairs bedrooms accessible by a French door.

The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed as well. The living room and dining room each have a sliding glass door that takes you to a wrap around deck (the side portion alone is 10'x36'). There is, in addition, a full sized eat-in kitchen. The house has all the amenities of any well stocked home including games, books, two TVs, a DVD player, VCR, outdoor furniture, beach chairs, some linens, games, books, outdoor beach toys. The main house has a twin day bed in the TV area and therefore the house accommodates 8-11 people dependent upon sleeping configurations.
The guesthouse studio has one bedroom with a queen sized bed, a living room and a full, eat in kitchen as well as a full bath. There is a large closet, pegged pine floors, a gas fireplace, and two decks, one shaded with a hammock and the other sunny that looks over a private wooded lot. There is also a queen sized pull out couch so this studio will accommodate a couple or 3-4 persons.
The property is directly accessible to a bike path that goes to South Beach ( 1.5 miles) and also to the center of Edgartown (1.1)mile. This apartment also has all the amenities of a well stocked home. (TV, VCR, DVD, lawn chairs, lines, games, books, etc.) |
