Description

Description

Down a private country road, this bright and breezy post & beam home sits on a 3-acre rolling wooded parcel. With second floor views of the Atlantic Ocean, it's just a short drive or bike to Philbin and Lobsterville beaches and the Gay Head cliffs.

THE SPACE
This very Vineyard house offers three levels with 2 queen bedrooms, a double-vanity full bath, and a sky-lighted loft on the top floor; a chef's kitchen, spacious dining and living rooms, a half bath, a large screen porch and even larger sun deck on the main floor; and 2 double-twin bedrooms, a double-vanity full bath and laundry room on the lower level. Spring, summer and fall, this inviting seaside home is a good-for-your-soul retreat.

GUEST ACCESS
Our home is fully stocked with everything you need in the kitchen and to make you comfortable in the bedroom, bath and at the beach. We also have plenty of books and board games for that rainy day.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Grab a lobster roll, chowder, burgers, dogs and ice cream at The Cliffs from The Dream Catcher. The Chilmark General Store, Larsen's Fish Market and The Galley for take-out in Menemsha are 10 minutes away by car. Good restaurants in the area include Outermost Inn near the cliffs in Aquinnah, Chilmark Tavern and The Homeport in Menemsha (reservations recommended). Yo can rent a boat, kayak, canoe and stand-up paddle boards from Book-A-Boat -- great for tooling around the ponds and fishing.

ABOUT THE TOWN OF AQUINNAH
Many of the residents of Aquinnah are descendants of the Wampanoag Indians who helped the first colonial settlers survive on the island. The Tribe’s ancestral lands have always been on the southwestern end on Noepe, which is the Indian name for Martha’s Vineyard. The brilliant colors of the Aquinnah Cliffs, a National Landmark, are one of the most notable sites on the island delighting tourists and scientists alike.

We've lived in Chicago, Detroit, LA, Austin, Burlington VT and Toronto, but only Aquinnah is where we call 'home.'

What is special about this property?
One mile from three beaches and the Gay Head Cliffs. Set upon three acres of rolling woods. Only three neighbors.

What is special about your town?
Aquinnah is the smallest 'town' on the island and that's what makes it so special.
