Beautiful, light-filled, three bedroom plus loft and finished basement in Katama. Ideal location - close to town and beaches and pond yet very private!

Pet Friendly and very safe for children! We are the only house at the end of a dirt road, no cars can pass by.

Easy half-mile walk to center of Edgartown. Peaceful walk down ancient dirt path to the Edgartown Great Pond. Bike on beautiful quiet roads to South Beach. Near bike paths, Katama General Store and MorningGlory Farms.

First floor - Open LR/DR/kitchen with triple hung windows. Fully stocked kitchen, dining table seats 8+. French doors lead to deck, with grill and seating for eight. Two bedrooms - one with queen size bed, the other with a full bed and single. Full bath. Fully supplied with bath towels and linens. Beach towels also available.

2nd floor - master with king, bath with claw foot tub, French doors to upper deck, and cozy loft.

Finished basement - great spot after a day at the beach for playing games or watching the 70 inch TV on two cozy couches . Laundry room.

Comfortable front yard for playing games, outdoor shower in back yard. Beach chairs and lawn games are available in the shed for vacationer use. Circular driveway with lots of space for parking.

    Awesome rental experience!

    I stayed with my boyfriend and another couple with two small kids. This was our second year at this home and we had another great week!

    The house was clean and comfortable, lots of light, very comfortable beds and a great kitchen! We both had separate spaces and privacy . And the basement was a perfect escape from the sun in the afternoon for the kids to watch movies on the large screen.

    We spent a lot of time in the yard with the kids who were able to run free in complete safety. We loved the way the morning and late afternoon light hit the front yard.

    We went to the pond, and the kids had a lot of fun splashing in the water. Most days we walked to the center of Edgartown, which is a short and pretty walk.

    My family rented this home in August 2023 and were very pleased with the home. The house was clean, had a welcoming open space that allowed us to spend lots of time together gathering in various parts of the house and really enjoyed the privacy that the location provided. The finished basement was an added bonus that provided a quiet space for video meetings and teleconferences.

    From the initial rental inquiry, the hosts were super responsive and unbelievably friendly. I have rented a number of vacation homes -- these hosts have been the BEST! I recommend that you book this home for your next family vacation immediately. show more show less

    Wonderful place to stay with family who wants proximity to Edgartown

    Loved it. My family of 4 will return as soon as possible. Great for couples or for families with teens.
    Beautiful house, comfortable. Great location!!
    Close to so much - pond and Edgartown and Morning Glory farm for the best muffins on the island! Near bike path. Hung out in comfy basement and watched movies after days in the sun. Such a quaint and well appointed home.

    Our annual vacation home

    This year will be our 3rd visit. We love this house because it's clean, cozy, everything we need is stocked in the kitchen, and the host is very responsive. The location is quiet and our morning walk ritual through a trail to a beautiful pond for a swim is magical. Our teenage children have freedom to take a short bike ride or walk into Edgartown for ice cream. There are bike paths nearby and it's a short distance to the best farm store, Morning Glory Farm.

    We are Charlie (a journalist) and Julie (works for a non-profit) and we have owned this house for almost 30 years. The Vineyard is very special to us. We lived overseas while our 4 (now adult) children were young, and they spent every summer of their childhoods here. They loved biking to the Pond to fish and boat, to South Beach, and to Edgartown for ice cream. Their summer jobs on the island have influenced their lives - they have worked on fishing boats, farms, oyster farms, learned how to build boats and stone walls, ran catering businesses, and wrote for the Gazette. They made life-long friends and had a lot of fun!

    What is special about this property?
    The house is open and light filled, with triple hung windows in the living room, and two decks - one upstairs, one downstairs. There are wood floors throughout the house, the basement is carpeted. The loft is a cozy place to read or nap. The basement is also a cozy place to watch movies on the big screen on a huge overstuffed couch. The kitchen was recently renovated and all windows replaced.



    What is special about your town?
    The location is unique - quiet and private, yet close to so much! We are half a mile from shops and restaurants in Edgartown. We are on an ancient path that leads to the town landing of the Edgartown Great Pond - we ran there when we were young, walked our babies there, and now walk our dogs there :) South Beach is a peaceful bike road away, down quiet country roads. The bike path that takes you all over the island is close by. Also nearby Katama General Store and Morninglory Farms.
