These guests wrong in their assessment of my home. They were delighted with the home upon arrival. My son reviewed the home with them and they accepted it. As far as the refrigerator - everyone always leave behind staples, i.e. ketchup, mustard, relish, sometimes butter, etc. or frozen foods that they can't transport home, i.e. ice cream, etc. The new renters can either use them or throw them out. Sometimes they leave unopened beer cans. But the refrigerator it self was cleaned out. />
That is a joke about dishes and flatware. My son is in the cleaning business and is meticulous about maintaining a clean home. The sad part is the flies - which was way above anyone's prevention. I called the exterminator and he found a dead mouse in an area that used to house an oil tank (which was removed a few years ago) when we converted to gas. It was cleaned up and taken care of. That is why I did not push to get $1600.00 back against the rent balance - since they decided to stop payment. It was a courtesy credit. When they departed by their choice, they left a pile of dirty towels in the middle of the room, got our outside chairs returned from their brother's home.

I'm sorry they had the fly incident - but my home is always clean. Outside vinyl shower usually will pick up algae on the bottom from grass mowing through the season. But always very usable.

In all the years of renting - I have never had anyone unhappy until this family. I'm always updating and adding on to the home to make it a pleasant an experience for everyone.show moreshow less
