This private cottage is just a few steps from Main Street, with a 15 minute historic walk to town. Parking available. Accessible shuttle bus stop on the corner for trips to island points and beaches. Madaket bike path across the street is a 5 mile ride to the west end. Bike rack tucked away in back yard near the patio. Fully equipped kitchen allows for light bites, coffee, or culinary preparations to go. Kitchenware, iron/ ironing board, beach towels and chairs provided. A signed contract with half the rental fee holds your reservation. Complimentary transportation available to and from airport or ferry. Please provide details with contract. As a courtesy to our guests with allergies, we do not accept pets. Manager located nearby for your convenience. Check-in 3pm and check-out 10am.

    June Wedding

    My wife and I stayed for three nights in June 2017 for a wedding and could not have been more satisfied with our accommodations. The homeowners were warm and friendly and made you feel like you were part of their family. Sherri picked us up at the boat and drove us back when we were leaving, and she is a fantastic tour guide !!! if I could give it more then 5 stars for a rating, I would have.

    Nice cottage, nice owners

    This stand-alone cottage was just as advertised in the description and photos. The cottage was very clean and well cared for, with an interesting history. The walk to the wharf was less than a mile, and several bike paths intersect nearby. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay, and would be happy to come back again. Sherri, the owner, was as helpful as possible, and she had many good suggestions for sightseeing, as well as fun island facts.

    The Lowell family lives next door to this former residence of Aletha Macy's home and workshop. The property is well maintined and the owner is available 24/7.

    What is special about this property?
    This cottage was formerly Aletha Macy's scrimshaw shop. It has been lovingly restored and available to vacationers since the mid-1970s.

    What is special about your town?
    The variety of festivals and events keep vacationers coming back for more! The pristine beaches offer fun in the sun and scenic views, which are easily accessible. The many museums, historic properties, and ''hidden treasures'' appeal to the history buffs and nature lovers.
