Hello! I'm Laila and together with my husband and kids we own this lovely property. We purchased it as our second home in 2021 and spending the summers here has been the highlight of our years since. We've lovingly furnished and maintained the property and we embarked on a big project to install the high-end hotel retreat-like pool, spa and patio area which opened in 2023. We are foodies and entertainers and love to have friends and family visit us. It feels like we're preparing food and drinks all summer long - simple meals with fresh local ingredients. We love the Cape and all it has to offer and we're happy to provide recommendations tailored to you, whether it's fun activities, where to get the best sea scallops and lobster, kids' camps, day-trips, or kids camps. We also love to travel as a family and typically take two or three trips a year. Our recent favorites have been Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka) where my brother lives and Mexico City. On our travels our best experiences have been with locals or recommended by locals and we hope to provide our renters with the same experience. We look forward to welcoming summer vacationers and off-season renters alike into our home.
What is special about this property?
This property is our own little slice of paradise in New England. It's rare to find pool and beach in a sizable, well-maintained property on the Cape.
The private association beach is just 1 block away and offers access to the calm bay-side waters (great for skim-boarding, paddle boarding, and kayaking). Take long walks or runs as the beach extends for miles in both directions. And follow the tide chart to enjoy the expansive sandbar twice a day - a true highlight.
The inground heated pool area is a true oasis. An expansive patio with spa and gas firepit, furnished with Serena and Lily and Arhaus furniture, it feels like a high-end hotel retreat. The sunroom with wrap around deck offers additional entertaining space, and the large front and back yards allow for games like volleyball, badminton, and cornhole.
What's less apparent from the photos is how lovely this private little neighborhood is. The kids can roam free and friendly neighbors, both owners and recurring renters, abound.
Finally, the home itself is light and airy. A great share for two families - two second floor bedrooms are lovely for couples and a bunk room nearby sleeps 5-6 kids/singles. Two more rooms offer additional sleeping space if people want to spread out. There's a 6-person dining table inside, a 10-person dining table on the deck and an 8-person dining table on the patio by the pool.
This property isn't a rental - it's our home, and we look forward to welcoming you to it!
What is special about your town?
Sandwich is a little gem! It's an easier commute/shorter drive time than most Cape Cod towns, and it's situated on the calm Cape side (no sharks to worry about here!) While still busy in the summer, it's a relatively quieter part of town. Sandwich offers many great restaurants (casual to fancy) and ice cream shops. Off the Grid is one of our favorites with outdoor picnic tables and food-truck style offerings including tacos, burgers, and beverages. Explore the famous Sandwich boardwalk, go mini-golfing, or do a group kayak tour from Scroton's Creek out into the ocean (Rideaway Adventures). It's centrally located and an easy commute to many of the Cape's attractions - try the oysters and lobster rolls at Sesuit Harbor Cafe, enjoy the Eat Cake for Breakfast bakery in Brewster, take a day trip to Chatham and get a spa treatment with lunch at the picturesque Chatham Bar's Inn, or hop on the ferry from Hyannis (just 20min away) to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket for an easy day trip! Take a drive to Wellfleet and walk the Audubon Preserve or make it out to P-town and enjoy the day. Finally, the Whale Watch cruise out of Barnstable is wonderful. We are happy to help you plan the perfect vacation, tailored to your interests and family!
