    So charming and convenient

We loved our stay here and can't wait to return. This was one of the most comfortable rentals ever. It was clean, well-stocked, conveniently located on a quiet street near town and beaches, and beautifully decorated. Plenty of room for our family of five with full-grown children. We loved the screened porch for meals and relaxing in the beautiful weather. Such a great location: close to beaches, nature walks, ferries, lots of great restaurants, and real grocery stores. We could even park both our cars easily. Great communication with the homeowner, too. show more show less

Email subject: What a wonderful stay
    Hello, Bridget -

Excuse my tardiness - things have been crazy as we try to pick up the pieces of our lives where we abandoned them in Boston before heading to the Cape.

Your home was a wonderful respite. Both of our adult children visited intermittently, and there were three days where our daughter was also accompanied by girls-now-women with whom she had danced since elementary school. All of them are funny, self-possessed young women about to enter/already in graduate school, so it was a treat to have them visit.

Everything was great. AC worked, kitchen hood worked. Closet and drawer space was great. We did miss our dogs, but our lives felt a little lighter for being relieved of our schedules for a couple of weeks. We'll be in Barnstable Saturday and Sunday for the PanMass Challenge. If you think you see me, please walk up and say hello - I'd like to meet you in the flesh.

I hope Iceland was an equal tonic for you.

Hello! I grew up here in Barnstable Village, and moved home in recent years to be closer to family. I work in higher education, and am often overseas in Iceland where I am earning a PhD in Education studying Ocean Literacy. My home relfects the places I love and where I have lived: Maui, Hawai'i, Iceland, and Cape Cod. I am responsive and do everything I can to make my guests feel comfortable. Welcome!

What is special about this property?
Our home is private and on a quiet lane, but close to so many wonderful amenities: beaches, coffee shops, fish market, historic villages. Beautiful gardens and lovely outside spaces make this a true sanctuary.

What is special about your town?
Barnstable Village is a historic town on beautiful Cape Cod. It is understated and attracts quality people from all over....it is one of New England's best kept secrets!
