Great location, 10 minutes to several restaurants at Cape Cod Canal and Town Neck Beach, 20 minutes to Mashpee Commons. Golf, bike trails, Heritage Museum and Gardens, Beach Plum Spa all nearby. Enjoy Cape Cod from this lovely spot!

My husband and I bought this lovely Cape Cod cottage in 2018, with significant renovations to create an open floor plan. In addition, the yard and deck/patio had been seriously neglected, so we have made significant improvements there too, expanding the deck and updates to the landscaping. We are retired and currently spend the winter months in Florida. Returning to the Cape in summer is a real treat, especially with the marsh views and charm of being right in Sandwich Village. This is the first season that we are renting Swan Cottage, because we think it is worth sharing!
The house was one of the first schoolhouses in Sandwich (the oldest town on Cape Cod), marked as 1830, but has all the modern conveniences now!

What is special about this property?
We love the tranquility of sitting on the deck and watching all the wildlife on the marsh- herons, ducks, birds, even the occasional otter and muskrat! Being able to walk to the Village with restaurants and shops, and end up at the Sandwich Boardwalk out to Town Neck Beach is special.
This house is light and airy, a fully equipped chef's kitchen (my husband does all the cooking, so that was his project!), ceiling fans and TVs in every room.
Be sure to check out the hand-painted mural in the upstairs main bedroom, not sure who did it but it's like having the marsh right in your room!

What is special about your town?
We are off the first exit on Cape Cod, on the quieter Route 6A side, and walking and biking everywhere is easy. There are at least 6 restaurants within only 15 minutes and many others within 30 minutes. Sandwich Village is home to the Sandwich Glass Museum where you can see live glass-blowing every day and has a great gift shop. Daniel Webster Inn has the Beach Plum Spa for any spa services. And last but not least, the Heritage Museum and Gardens has not only spectacular gardens and walks, but interesting collections inside including classic cars and an historic carousel.
